The Wee Nook, just 3 miles from Carver Landing!

The Wee Nook is a cottage tucked away in a peaceful, lovely location near the national park. Use it as a base for hiking nearby trails, or floating the Buffalo River (just 3 miles from Carver Landing). There are six Highland cows that roam the pastures surrounding the home, along with plenty of wildlife on the property. There's a wet-weather creek that flows from approximately December to April (depending on rain fall). Come relax in the gorgeous Ozarks!

***I will send you a map pin, as the address isn't recognized by map apps*** Also please note the home is down a mile long gravel driveway, with a steep hill. I've had no trouble in my 2wd SUV, but I don't recommend motorcycles!!

Love this cute property! We had coffee with the Highland cows out back!!! Adorable!!! If you have knee issues do know there are stairs to the bed upstairs and the bath is downstairs, we are almost to the point that we need a flat space, but are so happy we got to stay here. It lies under a mountain and is gorgeous!!!

We throughly enjoyed our stay at the Wee Nook. This is definitely the place for some peace and quiet. Ashley is an awesome host. We are looking forward to coming back. Jasper is just a few minutes away, and is such a beautiful historic town down in the valley. We did get to view the elk around Boxley Valley. We enjoyed our little visitors, the two goats. They acted more like dogs than goats. They would come visit you on the porch looking for food. We loved feeding them and the Highland cows. We would recommend you to visit the Wee Nook.

Awesome little place in the perfect area! Everything you need in a tidy package. The bed was also really comfortable. My son loved the highland cows and goats! We also had a little bunny visit a few times which he got a kick out of for sure. Greta place for an Upper Buffalo float. We grabbed supper on the way back in Jasper which made the perfect round trip after spending the day on the river

It was quiet, peaceful, and relaxing after a day of hiking and time spent on the Buffalo National River! It was awesome to wake up and enjoy our French pressed coffee with the highland cows (and goat)!

We enjoyed our second stay at the Wee Nook as much as our first, and we will be back in the future. It is pristinely clean and extremely comfortable. Ashley, the host, is top notch. Everything was peaceful and lovely.

We adore everything about the Ozarks, and make our home here. From beautiful mountain vistas to rolling green valleys.....the Ozarks has it all!
(Plus we have fuzzy cows)

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

The Wee Nook is a cozy spot I want you to feel right at home in. You'll be very near the Buffalo, as well as several hiking trails (Sam's Throne is the closest one). Make yourself comfortable by the firepit after a day full of exploring, or give the Highland cows a chin scratch. They're quite friendly, but do be mindful that they are big animals with hooves, teeth, and horns, so please don't enter their fence!
