Spacious Family Retreat w/ Hot Tub, Fire Pit, & Dedicated Kid/Teen Space

Welcome to Carolina Calling, with its incredible LOCATION! This lodge is nestled on an acre with a creek, right on Beech Mountain, just a short walk from hiking trails and Lake Coffey and just minutes to skiing, mountain biking, and all-season outdoor fun.

The kid/teen wing is a favorite for families - it’s a cozy, semi-private space furnished with 5 twin beds in the sleeping loft, a king bed, hanging chair, game table, and a full bath - perfect for giving kids their own retreat.

The main level features a newly remodeled kitchen with stainless appliances alongside the charm of the original wood paneling. The great room has a massive stone fireplace, perfect for cozy evenings.

There are two traditional bedrooms with a full bath on the main level and another set upstairs - ideal for multi-family stays or group travel.

Outside, enjoy the deck with plenty of outdoor seating, an outdoor fire pit for s’mores, a partial tree house, and a zipline for endless fun!

You’re just a 12-minute drive to Buckeye Lake & Recreation Center, which offers fishing and free kayak/canoe rentals—great for family adventures.

PLEASE NOTE: Partial tree house and zipline are use at your own risk. Owners will not be held liable for injury.

BEECH not Beach vacation

My friend and I are on our 12th family vacation together. This year we decided to switch things up and go to the mountains. We had a great time ! The house was great for our teenagers and young adults to have plenty of room to spread out. The rooms were comfortable and well equipped. We did havd a small air conditioning issue, bit we really didnt need it as the weather was so comfortable. Our host was also very quick to respond. We enjoyed the butterfly garden across the road and the fitness trail arou d the pond nearby. Looking for bunnies and deer was a daily activity. Thank you for a great stay!

Graduation stay

Great parking area. Great social areas. Plenty of space. The gas grill wouldn’t stay lit but there was a charcoal grill handy. The house was quite dusty in areas not hit by the cleaner (maybe rushed?) and porch has to be cleaned before using. That didn’t diminish the great time we had at this property.

Great Family Cabin

We had family staying in this cabin for a wedding weekend. Lots of space, plenty of supplies and overall a great place. The owner was very responsive. Would definitely stay here again and I recommend it if you are in need of a big cabin.

Great place

Had a wonderful time with friends and family! Great location, super close to Beech Ski Resort. Nice area to walk around and be outside. The Beech Club was walking distance with a nice lake/pond as well. We didn’t use the club but it definitely looked nice. The house itself was great for the 6 adults and 6 teens. The house was clean inside and had general kitchen tools. Communication with the host was great! Thank you!!

Family gathering in the mountains

This beautiful house had the basic necessities for our large extended family. There was plenty of space for 9 adults and 4 children. The property is very family friendly and teaming with wildlife. The children enjoyed playing in the creek and making S’mores at the fire pit. We were able to get the TV in the living room and kids area to work, but not in any other bedrooms. The wifi was intermittent and unreliable. I have Verizon and could not get enough signal to make any calls. My sister had AT&T and got a little better service. Bring towels and wash cloths as there was not enough for our big group. The propane grill from a previously mentioned review is not functional but there is a working charcoal grill. The fire table on the porch is also broken and crumbling. The refrigerator leaks daily. Overall, the house could use some attention and the online description needs to be corrected but it had what we needed for an enjoyable stay. Thank you Jessica.

Ahhhhhh the mountain house <3

Right in the heart of waterfalls, scenic views, fresh air, and wildlife. Host was incredibly responsive to any questions I had before and during our stay. Clean and comfortable rooms. Rooms were unique and you could pick one best for your situation. Lots of spaces for everyone.

Great place with great location and amenities! Property manager is very kind and friendly. Very helpful. All around had an amazing time! Had issues with cleaning crew being able to make it out due to harsh weather, but property manager made it right and was very responsive. Highly recommend staying here and would definitely stay again!

Great space

Required large home for an instructional team for adaptive skiing. This worked well with the group for housing. Will require 4x4 due to location and driveway with heavy snowfall. The hostess is great and very accommodating. Would recommend for large group.

Summer Mountain Vacation

The property was everything my family and I could have asked for. Plenty of room to accommodate my immediate and extended family. The location was great to many great hikes, water falls, restaurants, and activities. We wanted to be able to enjoy the outdoors when it was warm and the area did not disappoint.

Grandmothers house

Outside is absolutely gorgeous with some wear and tear from weather but you can tell it is well maintained. Inside was dated but we weren’t expecting the ritz. It felt like when I used to go to Granny’s house for the holidays and everything was unique and functional. There was plenty of space and the kids stayed in the kids area both nights very entertained with board games and the food all table. They loved the swings but complained about no nightlight upstairs and the warmth with no air circulation. (We later found a closet with a bunch of box fans). The kitchen was small but functional and the bathrooms were plenty. We never encountered a bear but the deer were all over the place. I WAS NOT PREPARED FOR THE UPHILL DRIVE but I loved the scenery from the road and the seclusion this place gives you. All in all I will be planning our summer vacation soon and have every intention on returning to this place!!!!

Beech Mountain Trip

This was the perfect lodge for a girls getaway weekend! Jessica was super responsive and answered all our questions. The house and kitchen were stocked with just about everything you might need. We enjoyed our stay!

Relaxing Getaway

We had an amazing time staying here. I have 3 boys that spent most of their time outside in the treehouse and zipline. The propane firepit on the porch and hot tub were my two favorite features. Plenty of space inside for everyone to be comfortable and the hosts were very responsive. I like to rate our stays on a "would we stay again" mentality and we definitely would go back.
