Love Shack Private Hot tub steps to Jet/Town
The Love Shack (by the track) is a little old place where you can get together! Vibrant, bright and cozy, it is the perfect place for your romantic or couples getaway. Whether you are looking for island life, nightlife, beach life… or just to enjoy life, it will fit your needs.
The space
After a fun day at the islands or fishing for walleye, take a soak in the on site hot tub, before walking to the Port Clinton pier and Lighthouse to enjoy the sunset over Lake Erie. Steps away from downtown Port Clinton and the Jet Express ferry to Put in Bay, you can walk to a myriad of restaurants and drinking establishments from the Love Shack. It is located just outside of the MORA District, which allows you to enjoy your alcohol beverages outside. You can grab your favorite beverage and meal to go, and have a seat to enjoy live music 5 days a week (seasonally) in The District. End your night with a fire in the backyard fire pit before retiring to one of 2 bedrooms, both with queen size beds and blackout blinds.
You will enter through the backyard, outfitted with a hot tub, fire pit, grill, and outdoor dining table set. The backdoor of the home opens to a foyer, where behind the folding doors you will find a washer and dryer (along with detergent/dryer sheets). The smaller bedroom is to your left, along with a cubby holding your beach towels. The bathroom will be ahead to your right, the large shower includes shampoo, conditioner and body wash, and a blow dryer is hiding under the sink. The main bedroom is right outside the bath. Both bedrooms are colorfully decorated, with new queen beds, a closet and luggage rack. The kitchen/living room is open concept. There is dining seating for 4, and the basics you will need are supplied including coffee and tea, basic spices. The Keurig will brew either a single cup, or an entire pot for your group. A blender, toaster, cookie sheet and cake pan are provided. The 42” Roku HDTV is set up to stream your favorite entertainment.
Traveling with small children? We have a Pack n Play available on request.
The large driveway provides offstreet parking (2 cars) and has room for a boat on a trailer, but the house has a maximum capacity of 4 adults.
The Love Shack is 130 years young, and we have lovingly updated it for you. We look forward to hosting you!

Must be 25 years old or older to book. All guests must agree to our house rules prior to booking. Please take time to review them in advance and let us know if you have any questions that you would like to discuss before your arrival.

Guests are limited to the people listed in the reservation, unless separate arrangements are made to make sure your plans align with acceptable use. Out of respect for the residential community and our neighbors, this is not intended to be a party house.

Absolutely an adorable little place, very clean and the hosts were amazing, their attention to detail was top notch! Also Very responsive and easy to communicate with. The hot tub was amazing and the little fire pit was great!

We haven't even left yet and it's already a five star!! Perfect little place, great outdoor space, hot tub was on point, beds comfortable, and close walking distance to things to do!! The folks even went above and beyond for us accommodating our changes! We will be coming up to stay again!!!

Marty and John were great hosts. Very easy to work with and the Love shack was so perfect! Felt very homey with all the little personal touches. The beds were a bit squeaky and smaller than we expected, however the this was one of the cutest, cleanest, comfy places we have stayed. The location was great as well, within walking distance of downtown. Thank you guys for a great place to stay

Excellent location and we had a wonderful time. Had everything need to have a memorable stay in Port Clinton. Hot tub was a great way to end the day as was the fire pit. So glad we came to visit.

Making memories
We loved staying here! The house is perfect! The hot tub was perfect after a long day on Put-In-Bay! The hosts are the nicest and are just a phone call away if you need them :) Highly recommend!

Fishing trip
Great house for a couple of guys on a couple day fishing trip. Everything we needed and the hot tub was a bonus. Big bonus was the driveway was plenty big enough to park my truck and trailered 21 ft boat.

Lake Erie Boat Trip
Fabulous relaxing time at the Love Shack. Enjoyed all the local restaurants and live music. Cottage was within walking distance to all downtown Port Clinton attractions. Cottage had everything we needed and was so adorable. Spent each evening in the hot tub. We would love to return some time.

Cheerful and cozy bungalow
Our stay at the Love shack on the track was truly enjoyable.
This a cheerfully decorated, comfortable cottage with lots of amenities that hosts have provided.
Nice little fenced backyard(good for small kids)with a canopied patio. We spent much of our time out here., having coffee in the morning and meals and cocktails at night.
Nice touches everwhere.
Also liked being able to walk to downtown Port Clinton in a few min.
We plan on revisiting🙂

Annual Birthday Bash
This was our second time staying at the “Love Shack.” The place is always clean, welcoming, and overall makes you feel like home. We stay here and drive to the Miller Ferry and go to the island with friends. Then go back and relax and play games. One of the cleanest VRBO we’ve ever stayed . The welcome package is always appreciated . Can’t wait to plan for next year already !

Lake Erie boating trip
We stayed here over the July 4 holiday. The location was great to enjoy the fireworks in town ( easy to return to the house even with the crowds. It is walking distance to town and the ferry. We spent most of our time on Lake Erie with our boat. There is plenty of parking even if you keep a boat trailered here. We did dock ours further north for quicker access to the main lake but it was a convenient location. The house was clean and super cute, small but just right for my husband & I and our adult daughter and her boyfriend. My husband enjoyed the hot tub everyday too. We would stay her again!

Birthday Weekend Get-away
This place was great ! Wanted to go to PIB for my birthday and this place was perfect. Check in was so simple, they provide a key code that was very simple. The house was very clean, smelled fresh and the pictures does not do justice for this place. Walked in and found Champaign flutes and a welcome note. Was able to celebrate my birthday morning with mimosas ! We used the Miller Ferry and the drive was only 20 minutes which made it worth it. The backyard was an oasis by itself ! The fire pit and the hot tube was used each night. We spent hours at night playing Yahtzee, enjoying some quiet music and the fire. This place had everything you could need while staying somewhere . Already making plans to book again ! 15/10 would recommend!

We’re John and Marty and are SO looking forward to being your hosts in our 130+ year old cottage. Local rumors say this house was built to house the railroad workers in 1890, and later added onto to become a family home. We’ve packed as much quality and fun into this little home as possible, and continue to upgrade as we can.
We love traveling the US and meeting new people. Several years ago we spent almost an entire year traveling the US in our motorhome with our children. We visited 42 states, had a wonderful time…. But at the end, we knew Port Clinton was where we wanted to be. We hope you love your short visit as well as we have loved our 40+ years living here.
