Embrace the warm and welcoming atmosphere of this idyllic haven, designed to help you unwind and rediscover tranquility. The charming cedar cabin boasts breathtaking views of Lake Michigan's sunrise, setting the stage for an unforgettable stay. Enjoy the rustic charm of the cabin's log-beam ceiling and wooden floors, while snuggling up next to one of the two fireplaces – ideal for romantic escapes between May and September.

The property is hosted by Carolyn and our professional co-hosts, Rob & Suzie. Your rental will always be prepared for your stay by one of our cleaning specialists. The home is prepared with professionally laundered bed linens and towels, and stocked basic supplies such as toiletries, coffee, TP, and kitchen essentials.

Our co-hosts, Rob & Suzie, have been hosting guests since 2014. You'll check in to the home using a keypad deadbolt. We're always available via phone call or text to assist with things during your stay.

The cabin is nestled in the serene locale of Jacksonport, tucked away on a tranquil lakefront road. This peaceful neighborhood is within easy driving distance to the bustling peninsula towns of Egg Harbor, Baileys Harbor, Fish Creek, and Sister Bay. In addition, Jacksonport boasts a stunning public sand beach, perfect for leisurely strolls, sun-soaked afternoons, or refreshing swims in the warmer months. We loved this place! View of lake michigan is awesome from watching the sun come up to sitting around a fire at night. So many great things to do nearby. Highly recommend hiking and taking in the fantastic beach at whitefish dunes state park!

Authentic feel, perfectly situated on Lake Michigan

The location was perfect for us - away from crowds and right on the lake. The cabin is charming with its stone fireplaces and knotty pine paneling. We made a fire inside as well as outside in the fire pit, and we spent lots time enjoying the day down on the rocks. The kitchen was quite small, but had most everything we needed.

Simplicity at its best!

The perfect, rustic getaway. Fall weather was perfect. We picked up some firewood on our way and read, napped and sat by the lake and fire. It was so restorative. Cabin was perfect for us! Sweet and simple. Maybe being an extra blanket- they came in handy!

End of summer

We could hear and see the waves, so peaceful! Quaint well kept cabin was just what we needed. Lots of book to read while the cool lake breezes kept the bugs away and the temperature comfortable. Secluded but close to everything.

Perfect Weekend Getaway!

My boyfriend and I booked this for his birthday weekend. It was so cozy and perfect for the first cool weekend of fall! Such a great, quiet location right on the water. The cabin was clean and comfortable and access to the water was amazing. The electric fireplace in the bedroom was very convenient and we took advantage of the real fireplace in the living room at night. Highly recommend this spot.

Door County away from the Tourist Traps

Wonderful Cabin, great hosts, Awesome view of Lake Michigan away from all of the bustle of the west side of Door County. We were able to see and do so much from this private secluded location. We went to Washington Island for most of a day and still got back in time to enjoy Al Johnson's Swedish Restaurant We found other great places to eat close to the cabin. Speaking of the cabin, there is nothing better than to go to sleep with the breeze coming in off of Lake Michigan except maybe to wake up to that same breeze. There are stairs that will take you down to the lake A very enjoyable place to stay for the weekend. Cabin is perfect

Relaxing, rejuvenating, refreshing

This was excellent overall. One thing - We could not find an afghan or quilt or extra blanket and it got rather chilly both nights we were there. It might be nice to provide a few of those for watching TV or sitting out on the lawn watching the sunset. Otherwise it was fantastic!

Wonderful, quiet getaway

This cabin was the perfect getaway. Beautiful view of Lake Michigan, went to sleep each night with waves crashing onshore —could’ve asked for more.

Amazing getaway

Awesome place. The cabin is super well done and has a wonderful cozy romantic getaway feeling. Views of the lake are incredible, hosts are great and I had no issues throughout our stay. Highly recommend!

Quiet, Rustic Cabin in the Woods

We stayed in late Oct 2024. Cabin is older, but very clean. Was a bit chilly in the main room in the evenings (temps in low to mid 40’s); the heaters seemed to have some trouble keeping up. There is a wood burning fireplace in the main room which would have helped, I’m sure, but we were just there in the evenings and didn’t go to the trouble to build a fire. There is an electric fireplace in the bedroom, so it stayed adequately warm at night. The views were beautiful of the sunrises on Lake Michigan. We were completely charmed by the peninsula, and it was easy as ne quick to get to everything there—both sides of the peninsula. The falll colors, although a little past peak, were still just beautiful in so many places. We loved that restaurants were not chain stuff and were locally owned. All in all we were very pleased with the cabin and the area. Just we’re a little cold on the coldest night we were there.

Authentically rustic with challenges

We appreciated being able to stay there for a week. We liked the location by the water and a little traveled, wooded road. Our main challenges was with the water. Numerous times we were without water and was hesitant to use the nice fireplace in bedroom out of concern for overloading the electrical system. DOCO vacations was responsive in arranging for breaker in electrical box to be replaced and for well pump to be replaced. Enjoyed time with Bob and Terry.

Cottage Getaway!

This trip was a surprise for my boyfriend's birthday, he had no clue where we were going, and when we arrived his smile said it all. Such a cozy place to stay, with a breath-taking view over lake Michigan. This location was also perfect as it was only a short drive to all surrounding Door County towns, along with being down the road from Cave Point! We couldn't be happier and hope to return in the future.

Great location with privacy

We enjoted our stay. We didnt spend a lot of time at the cottage but it was juat as described. Nice bed, bathroom and shower. Location was perfect, about 20 minutes from anywhere on the peninsula. We enjoyed the ferry to Washington Island for tourist stuff. We highly recommend Grizzly Tours scenic airplane ride. Dave is very proud oand knowledgeable about the peninsula and its history, bonus he lives in the Jacksonport area. Very much enjoyed the local Mikes Porter Pub just down the road.

Cute Cabin

My husband and I enjoyed our stay in this cabin. The scenery was beautiful, when you woke up you got a wonderful view of the sunrise from the master bed. It was a little cold when we got there, but the heater worked well and it wasn’t cold anymore. If you are planing on using their wonderful fireplace, just plan on bringing your own wood and kindling, since it’s not provided by the owners. There isn’t a whole lot to do in Jacksonport, but it’s not a very long drive to anything. Overall, great location for a couples getaway :)

Simply Great

This location is wonderful. Its peaceful right by the water and a great location to get around door county. It has a nice older feel to the inside with that old time feeling. We would definitely stay again. Only complaint was that the cleaning wasnt great for the price you pay for it. We found already chewed gum next to the fireplace and very dusty and sandy under the night stand by bed. Otherwise this place was great.

Like stepping back in time, quaint, peaceful

My husband and I loved staying here! The rustic place was so nice to come to after our wedding to get away and relax. The view from the stairs leading down to the water is beautiful. There are plenty of windows to open the cabin up and let the sunshine and fresh air in. The fireplaces kept us warm and cozy at night. The architecture and features within the cabin are so unique and charming. The only thing I will say is the bed was a little tough to sleep on. Other than that, we had a wonderful stay and would recommend it to anyone coming to visit door county.

A truly rustic getaway

This is a truly rustic getaway with the highlight being the amazing view of the sunrise on Lake Michigan every morning. A nice, quiet location but a short drive to Cave Point Park for a great walk. The cabin is older but has a lot of charm and some nice updates. I felt it could use a few more lamps in the living room - overhead lighting is harsh and not conducive to an evening in front of the fire. It got chilly at night and we had trouble with the heating but the owners responded right away and had someone there to help us out very quickly. It was still chilly so a few extra blankets or throws would have been nice. We could have used a manual or instructions for the property -- didn't get one until the night before checking out. While I loved the amazing view in the backyard, I was surprised to find the back stoop in disrepair and the yard very uneven, full of rocks and roots so tread carefully - but it's worth it to get to the stairs that take you down to the rocky shore, a lovely spot to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee (the Door County blend they provided was delicious) while listening to the waves.

Over grown mess

The pictures of this cabin must be ten years old and ten years since they did anything in the yard. Overgrown trees 4 and 5 tall everywhere blocking the view weeds and grass knee high. The bed and couch are worn out futons and maybe a foot off of the floor. After three nights we left and got a hotel room. Don't book!
