I live in the area, but travel a lot. So my friend Emily takes the lead on communicating with you and making the space ready for you.
The house is located in historic Trinity Park. It's one of the most desirable places to live in Durham, lots of other beautiful historic homes, old growth trees, very safe neighborhood, walking distance to Downtown Durham and Duke's East Campus.
Guests have access to their private apartment, shared laundry room, and shared backyard.
High ceilings, wood floors, large master bedroom/bathroom suite, lots of natural light, generous kitchen/dinning room area, and flex space for study or additional sleeping capacity.
Downtown Durham (with lots of restaurants, stores, etc.) is within walking distance. There is a bus stop within a block of the house. You can also get around by bike, scooter, Uber, etc.
As stated in the house rules, there is an automatic minimum $250 service fee for any violations of house rules that require additional cleaning and/or cause damage. This is our home. We have tried to make it comfortable for you and for us, and have been thoughtful in the amenities we provide. We appreciate you for exercising the same level of thought and care when staying here.
While we are happy to host families, please note that the apartment is not “child-proofed,” nor do we provide any child-focused amenities (no crib, pack-n-play, high chair, etc).
We do ask that guests are relatively quiet after 10 PM, as a courtesy to neighbors. It's an old house and noise travels!
Please don't operate the laundry after 9pm.
Parties and loud groups are not permitted. Thanks for helping us be good neighbors.
Smoking or vaping of any substances is not permitted on the premises.
Well-behaved pets are welcome, and must be registered with the reservation. There is a pet fee. Pets cannot be left alone in the back yard.
Reservations longer than 29 nights may incur additional fees.
Due to the ongoing pandemic, guests are expected to abide by CDC/WHO guidelines, as well as all North Carolina and Durham Covid-19 guidelines. Full up-to-date orders can be seen at ncdotgov.
