About this space
Gather in this 4 bedroom 2 1/2 bath home with a full kitchen in the quaint shrimping village of Snead’s Ferry. The community boasts a boat ramp half a mile from the home that launches into Chadwick Bay which has access to the Intercoastal Waterways.

9 minutes to North Topsail Beach
15 minutes to Surf City
5 minutes from the back gate of Camp Lejeune.
15 minutes to New River
50 minutes from Wilmington

The space
This home is a place for relaxation, with its shades of blues and beiges throughout. The wall decor is all original photography done by the previous owner.

Our goal is to host families that are looking for a affordable beach vacation and military families looking to reunite for holidays and special occasions.

Upstairs the home has two queen beds, a full bed and two sets of twin bunk beds that are perfect for a kids room! Everyone can enjoy their own memory foam bed and get rested up before a big day on the beach . Babies and children are welcome! We have a baby gate, highchair, and a pack -n- play ready for your little ones, as well as outlet plugs in all outlets.

The downstairs has ample seating space in the living room area for everyone to settle down in front of the TV , you will be able to stream with Roku and watch a movie if there is a rainy day during your week at the beach. Netflix and hulu is also available. You will find the house has a great flow from one room to the next. The kitchen has a pass through window that connects it to the living room and really encourages fellowship and conversation.

The kitchen is fully stocked with spices, cooking utensils, pots, pans, and a Keurig. You might enjoy a cup of coffee while strolling down to the water in the morning.

The yard is large enough to start a game of corn hole ( yes we have corn hole boards already there!) while grilling on the charcoal grill and enjoying each other’s company on the back porch with patio furniture.

If you need to do some mid - week laundry, the washer and dryer are upstairs, making it convenient to do a quick load.

The community is exceptionally friendly. The boat ramp is just blocks from the home and has access to the intracoastal Waterway.
Guest access
Guests will have access to the entire home, front and back porches, garage, and front and back yards. You will also have access to the community boat ramp. Guests will have access to community pool when open.

Our family getaway

Our check-in was easy. We received the information a couple days before the trip.Settling in was easy. Light switches and kitchen cabinets are labeled to make finding things easy. There was a little book with household info and suggestions for places to eat and shop.My mom said the tempurpedic mattresses offered her the best home away from home sleep she’s ever had.The upstairs AC was on the fritz and did go out. Thankfully, there’s two AC units in the house. We carried twin mattresses downstairs and “camped out” in the living room the last two nights. The hostess replied quickly any time I messaged. She refunded a night’s fee. The AC was not able to be repaired while we were there, but that’s not for the homeowner not trying. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. A spacious backyard was great for morning coffee or cornhole with the kids.We had 7 adults stay in the home. We had 2 other adult family members visit with 5 kids our first full day and never felt crowded. My two elementary aged nephews spent the night with us twice. They enjoyed a couple movies from the collection of DVDs. My brother did have a house on Topsail, so we spent many days there. We didn’t find the 20 minutes of travel to be an issue. Without a home, we would’ve needed three hotel rooms. Being able to stay together and spend more time with family was our goal. This house gave us that opportunity. We’re grateful.

The property was very nice, and accommodating for a larger group of people. Marilyn was very responsive while we were there, and addressed any issues that we had.

Perfect vacation house

Very impressed by this vacation home. Kids felt right at home and had their own space with bunk beds. Kids didn't want to leave. Close enough to beach yet far enough away for some peace and quiet. Will schedule again to stay here.
