Historic waterfront home with amazing Aransas Bay views! 200 foot pier access! Enjoy gorgeous unobstructed sunrises, bay views, and bay breezes from the porch and the balconies. Fish from the pier or wade fish. This beautiful four bedroom, three and a half bathroom home sleeps up to nine people. The first floor features a spacious open concept kitchen, dining, and living area. The living room has plenty of seating and is a great place to gather for movie night or the big game, if you can pull your eyes away from the bay views! The dining table seats six and there is additional seating for three at the massive kitchen island. Along with plenty of prep area, the kitchen is fully stocked with all you need to whip up a meal or a pitcher of sangria. There are two bedrooms on the first floor. One has a queen bed and attached bathroom. The second has two twins and a twin trundle bed. The half bathroom is located here as well. There is a large parlor room with fantastic water views. This is a great spot for games and cocktails.
Upstairs features two more bedrooms. The first has a queen bed, a sitting area, an attached bathroom, and balcony access.
The second bedroom has a king bed, a sitting area, attached bathroom, and balcony access as well. Both rooms have a coffeemaker for those lazy mornings when you would prefer to take in the sunrise and enjoy some solitude from the balcony without having to walk downstairs first.

Beach and Fishing

Great house! Plenty of room and well stocked. Plenty of kitchen cookware, etc. - including both types of coffee makers. 3 1/2 bathrooms!!!!!! Access to the fishing pier was perfect. Great location - close to Rockport Beach and Main Street for shopping and dining. Cute photo ops off Main Street and there is a candy store! It was a little hot upstairs, so I suggest bringing a fan. It's an older house so it is expected. Wifi was spotty but that is normal in small towns - especially during the windy season and by the water. Can't wait to book again!

Rockport spring break

The place is definitely an older stay, reminds me of Agatha Christie books but it had modern amenities. There was enough room for the family, my mother in law got her own room on first floor. Place was a lot bigger than I expected, didn’t know about the parlor in front. The pier was fun, caught a lot of fish, black drum red drum, and catfish. If you feel really brace, you can wade in and go chest deep for sea trout. Communication with host was excellent. We plan to visit again. The drum were biting off right side off pier during evening. WYI

Look Elsewhere If You’re Coming To Fish

Booked this house based upon the photos and fishing access it provided. We arrived at the house to a pier that was dissembled and laying in the driveway. Though I had asked about any damage to the property before booking, no indication was given of this. AC struggles to keep the two upstairs rooms cool at night. House sleeps 6 comfortably. Sleeping accommodations outside the bedrooms were very uncomfortable. House was decently clean when we arrived. We had to clean anything used in the kitchen, so keep that in mind before using anything. Overall the location was fine, but lacked the basic amenities you would expect from a house near the beach. As I mentioned if you are coming to Rockport to fish, seek elsewhere for a better suited location.

A vacation to remember

My family and I enjoyed our stay at Joys house more than any other stay In Rockport over the years. Originally I had paid a week for a house that was several blocks away from the water. The owner decided to stay at that house, so Nina with the property management company gave me some other choices. I picked Joys beach house. We were not disappointed. Very spacious waterfront 2 story house. The views from the front porch and balconies off the 2 large upstairs bedrooms was awesome. While we were there there was a storm moving in and we had the privilege to meet the owner Joy. She had come over to batten down the hatches around that house and the one next door due to the tropical disturbance headed our way. She was a very delightful caring lady and we are thankful to have met and talked with her. The house was very clean and we really enjoyed the spacious rooms throughout and the awesome large kitchen. I love to cook! Other than my favorite frying pan that I had taken, the kitchen had about everything else that a cook would need. We fished off the pier that was close to the house and had a blast. Nina with the property mgmt company was very professional and helpful. throughout our stay

Not Happy!

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: To be quite honest, it was not pleasant. We arrived the temperature was 89 degrees in the house. We tried to call your office an never was able to reach you. You need to have an emergency number to call on weekends When we left Sunday morning the temp was 79! We bought 4 fans so we could have a little comfort. Our bedroom downstairs had the windows boarded shut so there was not any light in there at all! It was like a dungeon! The ceiling fan did not work either. The so called other bedroom downstairs had to couches in it that was supposed to be day beds, a joke). That was not even a bedroom !!! The kitchen was great. The furniture was so low my wife and I had to have help to get out of them. The biggest thing was we could not get in touch with you! We went by were you are supposed to have your office, I guess in the church buildings, a could not even find your office. There were not enough towels a the sheets in our bedroom was not clean or at least had hair on the bottom one. Were we happy with the place I would give a rating of 1 on all. Location was great. Just not enough viewing windows in front.

As good or better than expected.

An exceptionally nice property. Above a usual VRBO rental, Above quality woodwork and cleanliness. Everything we needed was provided. I am a 90 year old male and my guests were three female friends 80+ in age.
