Exclusively offered for the first time for summer 2023, this family retreat is now offered as a professionally managed Airbnb. The cozy 2 BR 1 BA cottage is the best of its kind in Branford, and also its best-kept secret! It has a full kitchen, gas range and cooktop, central A/C, hardwood floors and heritage trim throughout, giving it a rustic feeling. The bedrooms (one double, and two twin beds) both flank the updated bathroom. The home opens up into a quaint living room and dining area, with a new queen sleeper sofa looking out to a sunny deck, private beach and the Branford River. Adjoining the deck is a screened in porch with many paneled windows ideal for playing cards, playing games, or just enjoying a quiet evening by the river.

Best vacation!

We absolutely loved this house. The owners had everything we needed for our stay and more. We traveled with our two young boys and really loved that in addition to all of the amenities in the house, there were fun things on site for outdoor activities - sand toys, nets, crab catchers, and kayaks. You also can’t beat the beautiful view!

Beautiful location, right on the water!

We had a great time staying here. The area is beautiful and the house is right on the water! We had fun swimming, fishing, kayaking, and just exploring the area. It’s very laid back and you have your own private beach! This old cottage has been well taken care of over the years. Nothing fancy, but has everything you need. The views from the deck and sunroom were amazing! We would definitely come back!

Old School New England Cottage

This place was a gem. Beautiful views from the deck and porch, which is where you want to spend all your time. Beach nice and small. Swimming was great! House very clean and neat.

Delightful Gem

This little cottage was absolutely perfect and exactly as described. The views were spectacular and we had our morning coffee on the deck each day before heading out to visit family in the area. I would definitely be back and highly recommend it.

Absolutely lovely place.

We had a wonderful stay! Check in and check out very easy. Very clean and had all the amenities we needed. The beds were comfortable including the pull out couch. Quite friendly neighborhood. Beautiful deck and porch to watch the boats go by. We didn’t take advantage of the kayaks but they were available. Absolutely gorgeous sunsets!!!

Beautiful cottage with private beach

Will definitely book again next year! Thank you for a great stay! The cottage was well appointed, organized and larger than expected, easily accommodating our family of 4. Everything was clean, worked well and was fully stocked. Even the gas grill had a full tank. Sunsets from the back deck were gorgeous. The beach was great for fishing at high tide and sandcastle building at low tide. Check in and check out were list-free, quick and easy.

Something for everyone!

You cannot beat this location - sitting on the back deck, we watched a parade of boats in and out of the channel while the kids played just yards away in the water and sand. Our 14 year old brought his rods and fished (he was also impressed by the fishing gear for guest use!) We gave the kayaks a few spins around the nearby marshes and one guest enjoyed biking in the beautiful and charming neighborhood. And even on a holiday weekend with the best weather, we pretty much had the private beach areas to ourselves. The house was super clean and ready for us and the host checked in to see if we needed anything. Easiest VRBO stay yet! Definitely a place I would love to visit again.

5 Star Plus!!!!! Off the Charts Fantastic!!

The perfect vacation home !! Everything you would need and want -cozy and comfortable. The screened in porch was divine ! We enjoyed eating on the deck and using the kayaks provided —my husband and son caught several fish using the fishing poles provided ! We had a lot of plans for our trip but honestly could have just stayed at the house and enjoyed it the whole time! Great restaurants nearby …house was super clean with all of the amenities and cooking was an option too. There was an amazing comprehensive guide with everything you would need to know. The owners were super responsive before during and after our trip-checking to make sure we had everything we needed . The owners must love this house due to how it was maintained—we loved it too and are so sad to leave….a perfect place to relax.

Can’t Recommend Enough!

We came to stay at this property to visit my brother who lives in town and for vacation at the beach. This was not our first time in town but this location was our favorite. This place has easy access to everything. The beach is right out your back door. Extremely clean. Owner’s were very responsive if we needed anything. Highly recommend to anyone staying in Branford!
