This charming cottage is nestled just steps from the calm waters of Panther Pond in Raymond, Maine, offering a peaceful retreat surrounded by the woods. Rustic yet very well maintained, the property provides a true Maine vacation feel, with stunning waterfront views and easy access to the pond just 26 feet from the doorstep. A canoe and two kayaks are provided for exploring the Tenney River and Crescent Lake, and the dock can accommodate a 10' boat with a mooring for a 16' boat. The shoreline is banked and rocky, with water gradually sloping from 3' at the entry before dropping off.

Inside, the cottage comfortably sleeps five guests for the week, with space for two additional overnight guests for a maximum of two nights. Modern conveniences include WiFi, a TV, and a washing machine (added for 2026), while the fully equipped kitchen makes meal prep simple. Outdoor amenities include a deck, picnic table, and grill, perfect for relaxing or dining while taking in the serene lake views. Close to shopping, dining, and Portland’s attractions, this cottage combines rustic charm with modern comfort for an ideal Maine getaway.

House on the lake

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house itself was very nice. The location and room are excellent. It is a really nice place for a small family.Unfortunately, the house doesn't come with linen,no washer, NO AC. the owner of the property lives next door. It was odd and a bit weird to have the owner come by the property and check on you. While staying at the property, we had tikki torches to get rid of the mosquitos. The owner and wife or daughter walked uninvited to the property and told us it was a hazard. I felt they were always looking at us. We have family in town and they visited us a few times. The owner actively looking around to check on who was there. At one point, I considered moving out and check-in at a hotel.I will absolutely not recommend this property.If you want privacy find other place. There are other places that will offer you the vacation feeling, not a feeling of being watch.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This cabin on Panther Pond was a perfect fit for our family of four. Our priorities were being right on the lake and in the Raymond / Gray area - proximity to The Mosquito for ice cream was a bonus! The cabin was cozy and comfortable; the swimming area clean and clear. Highly recommend taking a paddle up the Tenny River to Crescent Lake!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The camp was just right for two people. Short distance to water with deep water drop off. The dock was in excellent shape and looked like it was recently replaced. The only issue was low pressure in the kitchen sink.Otherwise it was a great vaction.
