Welcome to Lake Escape’s Sun-Kissed! Sun-Kissed may be small in stature but it's mighty in comfort and beauty! This gem has wide open water views with magical sunsets. The house is decorated in mid-century modern but has all of the conveniences of today.

This charming home on the shores of Lake Norman features 3 cozy queen bedrooms on the main level, each designed for a peaceful night's sleep with soft linens and snuggly comforters. The main level also features a full bathroom with all of the fluffy towels you need, a compact kitchen fully equipped with everything you want to whip up a meal, a comfortable living room with plenty of seating for everyone where you can stream your favorite shows on the 58" TV and a dining area with magical views of the lake. Step outside on the deck to sit and enjoy your breakfast al fresco while taking in the Lake Norman's beauty.

Downstairs you'll find a spacious family room, perfect for game nights. It features an air hockey table, pinball, Atari Legends Arcade, Connect4, a 65" TV, a Marshall bluetooth speaker along with a slew of board games to keep you busy for hours. In addition to this "gameroom" there is another queen bedroom and a full bathroom on the lower level. There's also a small office area, in case you need to catch up on work or just want to check your emails.

Step outside onto the back patio and you'll find a fun-filled area with ping pong and lounge furniture, perfect for hanging out with friends and family. You'll also have access to a private dock where you can relax, fish, boat or swim in the lake.

For the more adventurous, there are complimentary kayaks and paddleboards available for your use along with life vests in all sizes, so you can explore the lake at your leisure. And when the sun starts to set, gather around the firepit and roast marshmallows while you enjoy the tranquil sounds of the water and the evening air.

Weekend Getaway at the Lake

We had a great time staying at this house on the lake in Lake Norman! Although I had never been before, the area was beautiful and made for a relaxing getaway. Renting a boat was incredibly easy, and cruising around the lake was definitely a highlight of the trip.The house itself was spacious and well set up for a group. It’s a two-level home, with the bottom level offering direct lake access and a fun ping pong table that kept everyone entertained. We also made use of the fire pit in the evenings, which was perfect for winding down after a day on the water.Inside, the house was stocked with everything we needed—plenty of nice towels, fresh linens, and even shampoo and other toiletries, which was a thoughtful touch. It was also just a short drive to nearby grocery stores, so grabbing food and supplies was super convenient. The kitchen came with basic cooking supplies and utensils, more than plenty for basic bbq and regular meal cooking.The only downside was that the bottom level of the house was absolutely freezing. We ended up spending most of our time upstairs unless we were playing ping pong or heading out to the lake. This is definitely user error as I could've messaged or probably figured the AC out, so this is not a knock to the property at all! Overall, it was a great stay!

Best Of All Worlds

Although our expectation was sunny days outside by the lake playing in the water with provided kayaks and boards and having ping pong tournaments at the outdoor table, the weather did not cooperate.But this house was set up so well for our party with three dogs, that we extended our stay and were able to catch a couple sunny days at the end of our visit. The neighborhood is quiet, yet very near to restaurants and grocery stores, and other nearby towns to spend time in. The games and pinball machine provided hours of entertainment on the rainiest days.The kitchen is well equipt to prepare meals, although decidedly a one person at a time space.The hosts have tried to think of most things visitors appreciate to make a guest feel welcome and at home: provided firewood,propane, life-jackets of most sizes, beach towels and makeup facecloths, various sized glasses; even dog bowls. It was greatly appreciated that basic cleaning equipment was accessible to clean as you go, as many of the houses we've stayed at overlook this. The baby gates worked well for our party to keep the dogs on the level we were on, and protect our elderly, blind and deaf doggy from falling down the stairs.If there were one addition, it would be to screen off the area under the benches on the raised deck as the dogs continually looked like they wanted to jump through the space. None the less, we all want to return to this home!!!

Lakefront Gem

Sun Kissed was the perfect size for our family of four (2 kids under 10) for the week. Plenty of activities and games that kept the kids entertained. Unlimited firewood for evening fire pits was an unexpected touch that we have not seen at other lakefront rentals. The location on the lake was great with lots of action of boats going by. The property owners were very responsive and helpful throughout. We will certainty look for this property again in future trips to Lake Norman.

Amazing stay

The property was easy to find. Great location with lots to do around. The property was very clean. The host are really nice and are willing to help with anything you need. We will definitely come back to this place again.

So good that i would buy rhe place

Easy check in and out. Beautiful lakefront. Enjoyed all the outdoor spaces and amenities - kayal, paddleboard, hammock chaors, forepit, covered decl, grill....also enjoyed walking the circle of the neoghborhood. House had everything we needed. Noticed all the little touches too - ie drink stands by every chair, charging ports in bedrooms, nooks and crannies for storage of luggage and such, empty cupboarda for groceries and more. Lots of games, and books and spaces to do these. Coffee keurig choices good too. Dining area had tons of space. Appreciated the laundry too. When we reached out with a question, we got a quick reply too. Would definitely recommend and consider a stay again. Restaurants and grocery store choices very close. State park within 20 min as well. House looks small but feels big inside. Only setback is that we didnt stay longer.

Getaway

Jessica was awesome. The place was so well thought out she even had extra bowls and poopy bags for our dog ready to go plenty of firewood for an awesome fire a well stocked coffee for morning coffee overlooking the lake plenty of games to play downstairs in the game room. All of the family was entertained.

Fantastic property

As a manager of 12 rentals and frequent renter of vacation homes, this property surprised even me. The hosts went above and beyond to far-exceed my expectations and I will tell everyone I know who needs a rental in this area to consider this beautiful, well-equipped stunner!

Perfect lake spot

Hi Jessica, Thank you for providing us a great spot for a long weekend. I’m an 83 year old resident of Cornelius who once lived on the lake in Mooresville. Now my wife and I live in an over 55 development. I have 3 sons in their 50’s scattered about the country. For the past 10 years the 4 of us have gotten together for a 3 day weekend in the fall in some city around the country. This year we decided to come here because I’m considering selling my long held sailboat and we’ve never had a chance to sail together. We did this weekend twice although the wind wasn’t the best. Your house was very comfortable and well provisioned and it seems you’ve thought of everything. I would recommend it to anyone. Peter

The Perfect Lake House

I wish I could come everytime I wanted a lake trip! The property owners have thought of everything! The kitchen was well stocked. Lots of activities to do! My kids especially loved going out on the kayaks and paddle boards. I would highly recommend this property to all my friends. The property owners were very communicative and friendly! 5 stars!

Perfect house and location

The house was wonderful! We had 2 adults and 3 kids and a dog. It sits right on the water and has a private dock. We rented a boat while we were there. The owners thought of everything we may need during our stay. The amenities were amazing. The beds were also super comfy. The house is in a cute neighborhood in a circle. The neighbors were very friendly while walking our dog. It was also close to dining, shopping and grocery stores. My kids had a blast jumping off the dock and swinging in the hammock chairs. I would definitely recommend this house and the other properties. Thank you for making our first trip to lake Norman a success!

Perfect Lake House Vacation

This was by far the best lake house we have ever stayed at and look forward to returning! The house was immaculate and was a perfect location on the water and close enough to shopping and dining in town. The house was quiet and offered so much to do inside and out. The beds were extremely comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed for our stay. The downstairs game room was the best! Perfect spot for our family to play cards/games and hang out in the evenings. Our adult sons loved being able to walk out of the game room to play ping pong on the patio, swim and fish and then come back in to cool off for some tv and indoor games. The patio was nice for lounging and reading and the dock was amazing. It offered easy access for swimming and great for water sports and fishing. Overall we loved staying at this house. Jess was a pleasure to deal with as well! 10/10

As listed - and MORE!

Pristine! Sometimes when they indicate - 'supplies' - you get some things so I always bring my own. Did not use a single thing I brought. The house was immaculate. I've never seen a more well-stocked kitchen with plates, cups, silverware, utensils, cooking things - Not even my own! Cozy, fluffy towels. Water pressure on the showers was very good. Well-appointed and comfy all over the house. The view was wonderful and the covered porch was great. Perfect for the rainy weather we had. Location was good, easy to find. Truly a wonderful stay for us 60-somethings to just enjoy. (and the video/pinball machines were great! Reliving our childhood)

Perfect rental on the water

Our group loved our stay at Sun-Kissed. The house was very clean and well-appointed. Check-in and check-out were easy, and Jessica was quick to answer any questions and a pleasure to work with. I'd rent this house and from Lake Escape again!

Perfect lakefront home

We came in to town in preparation for a move later this year and wanted to get a taste of the “lake life” - this home was perfect! It was so well stocked with very thoughtful touches! My kids used the Alexa’s in the bedrooms to listen to music at night, we played the games, kayaked, and enjoyed hanging on the dock and fishing. The owners were very easy to communicate with and made the check out process a breeze! Would absolutely recommend staying here!

Beautiful Easter Weekend

We enjoyed our Easter weekend with our 2 adult girls and their spouses. The house was just right for our stay. The furnishings were clean and comfortable. The amount of water toys and inside and outside games provided was incredible and we always had something to do. The yard, patio and porches were clean and perfect for enjoying the outdoors. The dock looks brand new and we loved sitting and fishing overlooking the water. The firepit was a big extra and thanks so much for the use of the firewood! The location was so close to the grocery, restaurants and anything we needed. Thanks for a great time. We will definitely be back!

Another Excellent Stay with Lake Escape

This was our second stay at a Lake Escape property. We stayed at Sun-Kissed this time, and it was wonderful! The house had plenty of room, with all the amenities you need to have a great long weekend at the lake. I highly recommend Lake Escape Vacations!
