Worst VRBO experience - by far. This is just a Motel 6
Negatives:
First and foremost, this is just a Motel 6. NO WHERE in the VRBO description does it state that (we have gone back over the description multiple times to verify). It was confusing to find as it is still an active Motel 6 and marked as such. There was NO check-in communication prior to our arrival. We were surprised that it was a motel check-in. Treated as Motel 6 guests is not what we expect from VRBO. The check-in person didn't know we had a VRBO reservation. The price of the rooms was the same rate as the hotel rate PLUS a $75 service fee for booking through VRBO.
We were locked into our reservation for 2 rooms for 5 days. If we had just booked at the hotel, we could have let the second room go when we realized we didn't need it. The hotel didn't have our 2nd room reservation on record the 2nd and 3rd days out of our 5 day stay (this was one VRBO reservation, there should have been no confusion).
The stay was marketed as sleeps up to 8, 4 in each room, but the rooms were not set up as a family unit. They refused to put the rooms together so that we were close. We were staying with our children in the second room and it was very uncomfortable to not have adjoining rooms (especially when it was advertised as such). Housekeeping was at our second room at 7:30 one morning not realizing someone was in the room.
Housekeeping was not good.
The character limit is too short to list everything that was wrong with our stay. Absolutely fell short of VRBO standards.
