Fall getaway

Lake life was quiet. Feels secluded without any neighborhood traffic. Safe place for pet. Some dust and cobwebs but that adds to the vintage feel of the cabin. Would definitely stay here again!

Relaxing Getaway

This cabin was a perfect home away from home for the weekend! The lake is beautiful and having our own dock was very nice! Patrick was very helpful and easy to get into contact with. Hopefully we’ll make a trip back here in the future!

Cozy cabin

We totally enjoyed our stay at the cabin! Not only was it cozy & like stepping back in time but it has everything you need. It was wonderful to sit on the deck or the dock & enjoy the view! I would definitely stay here again!

Lakeside Getaway

Cabin lakeside getaway- beautiful lake- good water quality. Nice deck/yard for relaxing outdoors. Really didn’t spend much time in the cabin, but it was nice too.

Lovely Stay at Lake

So much better than a hotel!! Charming property on Lake Pulaski that is very close to town but feels rural. Cabin is surprisingly roomier than the pictures portray. Friendly, responsive manager. Will be back :-)

Great little cabin!

Comfortable cabin on a nice lake close to Minneapolis! It was exactly the quiet getaway we were looking for. Cooling unit and fan cooled the cabin off enough to be be comfortable. Mosquitos waited until we had the fore roaring to come out, so have your fire while its light out.

Great Cabin

We had a nice time here. We love the country but i had an event in Minneapolis to attend too. This was the perfect solution, small town feel that we are comfortable with but well within driving distance to Minneapolis. Lake is gorgeous.

Short getaway!

Very nice cabin. Quiet area. Beautiful view. Lots of outdoor seating. Close to lake with dock and canoe. We enjoyed our stay and would choose to go back.

What a hidden gem!

Cute log cabin directly on a lovely lake. As night fell, the fireworks started with a major September thunderstorm blowing through. We would have stayed much longer had we known how special this property is!

Minnesota Getaway

This was an absolute dream vacation!! Everything about the property was perfect: a well maintained rustic cabin on the lake, the feeling of seclusion with access to the quaint town of Buffalo. The hosts went above and beyond to accommodate my arrival and departure needs and I would gladly return for another stay. An absolute perfect experience. And the neighbors were incredibly gracious and kind. Do yourself a favor~ book your cabin stay!

Great location, charming cabin

We really enjoyed our short stay at the cabin. We found it to be really cute and charming. The host did a great job of communicating. The bed was comfortable, there was an air conditioning unit in the main area of the cabin but it was cool enough that we didn’t need to use it. The lake is accessible and clear for using the kayaks we brought and it’s very close to town. We would definitely come back in the future.

Cute cabin

Cabin was on a nice clean lake. We were there when it was very hot and while the cabin does not have a/c there were fans and a cooling unit that worked to keep the cabin cool. The cabin could have been a bit cleaner and had cob webs. The neighbors are very nice and we had privacy. The bed was comfortable.

Lovely little cabin!

Such a cozy, comfy cabin. It was so perfect it was hard to believe. Nice spot on the lake to just watch the loons and boaters. Nice dock to fish on if you want or take the canoe out and fish from there. I will be back and hopefully stay for a week. My favorite is waking in the morning to the calm lake water. Reminds me of being way Up North at my Uncle's cabin however you are still close enough to town to go have a really nice breakfast at the Forget Me Not cafe. I have been telling everyone who will listen just how wonderful it was. Still day dreaming of the mornings on the lake. Eileen

Okay but…

Nice area, beautiful view on the lake!! But be prepared for a very old and very rustic cabin… Bare minimum and no extra touches. Towels are scarce and no extra blankets for the bed. Temps happened to be great outside which was good because the AC unit is in the living room. Lots of cobwebs all over and needed some cleaning. Glad I brought my hairdryer as there isn’t one there. Very good hostess and good communication with her! Just overpriced for what you get…

Don't overlook this sweet little cabin!

The cabin reminds of those mid-century lake resort cabins, but with modern updates. We have no complaints about our stay. The owner was easy to reach by phone call or text. There is no cable in the cabin but that is ok because really when you are at the lake, you shouldn't be watching tv. But when it rained we were able to take advantage of the DVD's that were provided. We were finally able to show our daughter the movie Casablanca (she liked it). There was a broad mix of movie genres to choose from. The cabin is clean and decorated well. It was the perfect size for a family of three and one dog. Our dog loved the deck and the dock and kept an eye on all the goings on for 4th of July week. Just across the lake was an amazing fireworks show and the cabins around us provided good firework entertainment as well. We have told all of our friends and family about this place and we hope to visit it again.

Outside is great. Inside needs improvement.

Positives: Communication with owner, location on lake, and outside amenities were great! Awesome view of the lake, private pier, canoe, and grill were some of the outside perks. For last minute booking, the lakeview was really nice! Plenty of outdoor chairs/seating. Neutral: The house key wasn't dropped off until the evening although the door was left unlocked so we had access at check-in No internet or cable access although we were told ahead of time There wasn't air conditioning, but heater/furnace appeared to work Negatives: TV had built-in dvd player but didn't appear to work (got a "bad disc" error on multiple dvds). Remote also didn't work Bathroom had 2 doors, but one didn't open at all, and other wouldn't close/lock. The bathroom sink faucets barely reached into the basin. There were extra blankets, but they appeared to have cat hair on them. The kitchen lacked some items I would have considered essential to a furnished cabin (i.e. wine glasses, skillet larger than 6", pot larger than 5") There were no curtains on any of the windows and only 2 windows in one of the bedrooms had blinds.

Very Rustic Cabin

The cabin space itself was very nice and comfortable. The bed in the primary bedroom was also comfortable. The kitchen was very minimally stocked. It did have a coffeepot dishes, cups, and silverware. But there was no can opener and other basic things that would’ve been good to have. One of the biggest concerns was the cleanliness, there were cobwebs, massive cobwebs in many corners. The cabin had a terrible musty, moldy smell that came from the primary bedroom. There was white mold on the. floor molding in the bedroom. The smell was almost unbearably strong. On our final morning, we awoke to find that our paper towel had been shredded and eaten around the bottom By what we assumed to be a mouse. So if these issues could be addressed and fixed, we could give this little cabin a very high score for its space and location, but all of these issues made it very unpleasant for us.
