Red River Lodge with Panoramic River View

Red River Lodge is perched 30' above the Red River shoreline. 3 sets of large French doors offer amazing river views! Both bedrooms have French doors and a balcony as well. The large screened porch has plenty of seating & a smart tv. Enjoy the bar overlooking the river! The living room has a large sectional, 55" Smart TV, long dining table with benches, and portable Ping-Pong! NO RIVER ACCESS. The walk down is steep, rocky, and dangerous. It is fenced off.

We live a few miles away and are available through text or phone call.

Red river lodge is about 2 miles from Bally’s Casino, Sci-Port, & the Aquarium. We are right over the Texas Street bridge from Bossier City and The Boardwalk Shopps with Bass Pro, and not far from Margaritaville Casino with the famous Drago's Restaurant & our new “Top Golf” style place called “Chasing Aces”.

Lodge guests have access to the full back deck, Carriage house guests have their own deck and may walk onto the lodge deck Bc there’s no permanent obstruction to block people. If you prefer them not accessing it during your stay, let me know and I will pass that on. It’s rare for both rentals to be booked at the same time.

There are 3 rentals on this property if you have a larger group. Red River Carriage House & Red River Bayou Boat are also on the property & may be avail.able. The Carriage House is right next to the Lodge & appears attached but it’s a separate rental with its own entrance. Red River Bayou Boat is in front of the lodge by the road, with its own fence around it. We took out some boards from the original deck behind the lodge to rebuild, and put up a fence so no one can access the old part until it’s ready. There is not water access on this property Bc it sits 30’ above the river & the steep Rocky climb down is not advised. No swimming in the Red River Bc of the strong current & 🐊! Enjoy the view from inside the house or the screened porch & deck! You’ll likely see several private planes fly over the river because the private airport is right down the road. Keep your eye out for Bald Eagles as well!

The property is on a short street with about 10 houses, and, as with many waterfront properties, there are a mix of different types of homes.

Like many waterside neighborhoods, the street is a mix of different types of homes. There’s a big nice house on one side of us, with a beautiful park-like yard, & a doublewide on the other side, & directly across the street is an RV . Please be aware this property can sleep 9 but it is STILL A 2 bedroom, 2 bath lodge. Here is how it can sleep 9: 2 queen beds, 4 rolling, memory foam cots, and one small ottoman that makes into a small bed for a small adult or child. The rolling cots can be set up in the bedrooms or moved to the living room. We have had many groups of up to 8 men who book the lodge while working in the area because we are downtown Shreveport, with a central location to getting most places easily, including Bossier City, it’s right over the Red River. You are able to move furniture (if desired) in the living room to set up the rolling beds . Please be aware there is no refund if booked & because you did not fully read this description, you didn’t understand the sleeping options. Please note there are 2 other rentals on the property: a houseboat in front of the lodge, & a small “carriage house” cabin that appears to be part of the lodge, but it’s not attached, and it has its own separate exterior entrance, with its own code to enter. There is no way to access the lodge from the carriage house, but be aware it is right next door. There are no shared spaces while you are renting the lodge, when the lodge is not rented, the boat & carriage house can use the washers & dryer which are on the back porch of the lodge. Red River Lodge is a cool experience & it’s on a quiet dead end road. The other 2 rentals are small and if booked, only typically have 1-2 people in them, ensuring a peaceful experience for our Lodge guests:)
