This inviting 3-bedroom, 2-bath vacation home sleeps 6 and offers a tranquil escape for families and friends looking to unwind and explore the beauty of the area.

As you arrive at Birch Haven, you'll be greeted by a beautifully landscaped, wooded property with a manicured lawn, creating a serene and picturesque setting. Located on a quiet street, this idyllic hideaway provides the perfect blend of seclusion and convenience. Step inside to discover a cozy living space adorned with modern furnishings and tasteful decor. Relax and unwind in the comfortable living room, enjoy two Smart TVs and DVD players, offering a wide selection of DVDs to enjoy with your loved ones. Curl up with a book from our collection or engage in some friendly competition with the family board games provided.

Amenity + damage protection waiver includes:
- Bed linens, pillows, blankets, and bathroom towels. (Please bring your own beach towels)
- A starter pack of essentials which includes toilet paper, paper towel, dish soap, dishwasher soap, hand soap, and garbage bags. Due to septic systems, we do not provide facial tissue. One each of travel size shampoo, conditioner, and body wash per full bathroom.
- PEACE OF MIND Damage protection covers up to $1000 per stay for accidental damage that is reported prior to departure (excludes any pet damage).


Home Truths:
This home is located in a quiet community with neighbors and is geared towards quiet family vacations. Due to the proximity of neighbors and municipal restrictions, we cannot accommodate parties at the property including bachelor or bachelorette parties, reunions, weddings, or other gatherings.

Property is equipped with a decibel and smoking monitoring sensor located inside and outside of the home.

The house had an overwhelming terrible musty smell. We tried to air it out but the smell never left. The property was quite out dated. Needs some TLC. Other than that it was as expected.

Amazing retreat for family vacation

We had an amazing stay at Birch Haven. This was my parents first trip to Door County, so the location was perfect for us to easily explore different areas around Door County. The layout of the home is perfect for a young family so that children are at the other end of the house which made it easy for everyone else to get sleep in case there was an interruption during the night. There is also a playground at Seaquist Orchards conveniently down the road to let out a toddler’s energy. We enjoyed eating breakfast in Sister Bay and Ellison Bay, then stopping at a market for lunch/dinner supplies. The backyard is a great space for little ones to run around while grilling or having a bon fire. We spent the majority of our evenings outside enjoying the weather and each other’s company around the fire pit. The kitchen layout is large and was a great space to congregate while cooking. There is also a nice pass-through window to get kitchen items out to whoever is grilling outside. The home was very clean and there were ample supplies for cooking along with plenty of board games to play after the kids are asleep. We enjoyed how quiet and secluded the property was so that we could relax and have bonding time between grandparents, parents, and kids. We plan to revisit Birch Haven in the future.

Overall lovely!

The kitchen was great for cooking your own meals while still keeping company with other people in your group! The checkout process was very smooth and not a huge list of things! The outside lighting was a little tricky. We arrived after dark but luckily had a flashlight. Location was great and just one turn off the main road through Sister Bay - having a grocery store 5 minutes away was also very convenient!

Nice place, great location.

Great overall with only minor complaints. Best thing about it is the location being only minutes from Sister Bay town center. A key code would be nice instead of one key shared between a group of 6. Inconvenient. Also friends who stayed in the room next to the open bin full of old rotting wood were not the happiest due to a few spiders. Maybe clean out that bin or at least have a sealing cover on it in the future.

location. 2 star stay.

Although close to the heart of Sister Bay, the house was clean but very outdated. If your plans are to stay in the house & cook all meals etc, this is probably not the place. The water smells & tastes bad (thinking well water?). Had to make coffee & other things using bottled water. The outdoor stuff looked dank & firepit area is overgrown & buggy. Not a bad stay, but honestly would pick something different next time. Also, not crazy about a 10am checkout time with all the stuff you have to do before leaving....

Cozy House in the woods

We enjoyed our stay at this property. House had plenty of room and we made good use of the backyard and fire pit. Excellent proximity to Sister Bay, not walkable but a quick 5 min drive. Cell service (AT&T) and Internet/cable connection were very hit or miss, not a huge deal but was unable to stream music or watch the Packers game
thankfully just preseason ;)

Peaceful Retreat

Great home with lots of room and comfy furniture. Great location to get to all the areas on the peninsula in short drives. Would recommend for a peaceful retreat!
