Bancroft House-Spacious, just remodeled & updated! New appliances, arcade games!

The Bancroft House is a spacious home located in the heart of Omaha's Midtown area. This century old home has been very recently remodeled with the comfort of our guests as a top priority. Bancroft House is short drive to the popular Blackstone District, Midtown Crossing, Capitol District, and the Old Market. Also close is the UNMC campus, Creighton University, Charles Schwab Field Home of the CWS, CHI Health Center and Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo. I-80 is just 2 minutes south of the house.

The space:
This home is over 3200 finished square foot and is very spacious, allowing guests to spread out. This comfortable house features a modern kitchen with stainless steel (new)appliances, a bathroom on each level (2 just updated), and a large living room. Bedrooms are graciously sized. There is a Roku TV in both living spaces and 4 of the 6 bedrooms. The home welcomes families or groups.

It also has a finished basement with a game room and rec room. Arcade games include NFL blitz and Ms PacMan, Asteroids, Tetris and many more game options. The basement rec room also has electronic darts, a foosball table and a large variety of games and puzzles. Snuggle in on the comfortable leather sectional for movie night! We provide 2 blow up mattresses to use in the basement family room.

There is also a large backyard with a patio, gas grill, and a fenced-in yard for pets and kids. Outdoor games are provided like Corn Hole, Croquet, and Ladder Toss. The shaded front patio offers soft lighting, a gas fire pit and seating for up to 10 people.

Guest access:
Guests will have the entire house to themselves and access to the garage as well. A storage room in the basement and 2 closets that access the eves on the second floor bedrooms are locked to prevent guest access.

Other things to note:
We have worked hard to convert this house from a long-term rental to an AirBnB. We are excited to have you experience our city. This is our first venture and we are anxious to make the guest experience a 5-star one.

During your stay the homeowners will be accessible to you, in person or by phone. You can ask for anything you might need during your stay, including dinner recommendation or great places to go.

Graduation Weekend

We spent the weekend there to celebrate our son's college graduation. The house is gorgeously renovated and had all the things we needed. Lots of space for family to stay and friends to visit to celebrate with us. Immaculately clean and so easy to check in and out. Plus, the beds were super comfy and we slept so well. Right off the bat, my family and I were thinking about when we could make our next trip up and stay here. It was clean, finishes were well done, and comfortable. Plenty of room for our whole family, but good communal areas to hang out. Plenty of towels, glassware, silverware, and cookware. Honestly, the best part is the location. Incredibly convenient as it's close to I-80. We were at the zoo in 7 minutes, got to the Husker game in less than an hour, and there was plenty to do right around the house. Bruce was communicative and helpful, as well, throughout the whole process. A great experience overall.

Amazing house

We rented the Bancroft house for our family Christmas trip. The house is beautifully remodeled! It's in a great location close to local attractions & restaurants. The hosts were amazing with communication & amenities included were top notch. We had 12 adults plus a toddler and there was plenty of space for everyone.

Wonderful home close to EVERYTHING!

This stay in Omaha was a perfect family getaway experience for us. Lots of bedrooms, bathrooms and space. Super clean, beautifully decorated, and the owners have thought of everything. Within 10 min of everything and so close to the zoo and downtown. Have to note that this has been the best rental host experience we have ever had! Bruce and Lisa have done a phenomenal job with the property, their communication was A+, and they have gone above and beyond to provide recommendations, and so much more.

The Best!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Bancroft house. We were a party of 5 adults, a 3yr old & 1year old. Walking into this home we were greeted to a cool, clean and beautifully furnished home. It’s was enjoyable to wake up here & return in the evenings. The coffee bar with easy keurig coffee, creamer and breakfast bars were wonderful. Our 3yr old granddaughter found the children’s toys and was happily entertained throughout our stay. The baby’s high chair & baby gates were another thoughtful addition to our stay here. The beds & linens were very comfortable. This home was delightful and we would 💯 return to stay here again. Thank you Bruce & Lisa

Omaha wedding College World Series

This house was perfect for our large group. It was impeccably stocked with all the right supplies and had a lot thoughtful touches. The design and layout were ideal for my family of 9 adults. The house is super cute and had something for everyone-we especially liked the mini-arcade in the basement! The location was very central to everything we wanted to do. The owners were easy to get ahold of and very responsive. It made our trip effortless.

Work Conference

This is our second year staying here for a confernce at the CHI convention center. Perfect location for the center and such a better stay than hotels. We love that we can all comfortably stay here, have privacy when we need it, but team bonding time in multiple communal areas too. We will be back again if our conference continues to stay in Omaha. Perfect place for Spring break in Omaha!

This is a beautiful house with more than enough room for our party of 12. The hosts were really great about communication during the entire process. Of all the vacation rental homes we have stayed in around the country, the Bancroft house was the most hospitable and best stocked with household essentials, linens, games and even more. Amazing time for dads 60th!

We had an absolutely amazing day, celebrating my dad‘s 60th with our entire family at the Bancroft house! It was extremely clean, the linens and towels were super high quality, it was insanely clean, and absolutely anything that we could’ve possibly needed was provided for us in the house. I couldn’t recommend this property more!!! The option of adding baby gates for all of our toddlers to was extremely helpful, too. Such a beautiful house!

Family Reunion

6 adults and 1 very active two year old toddler stayed here for a weekend after thanksgiving. This was the best vrbo.we have every stayed at. The house was amazing, the attention to details such as the coffee station, the toiletries and the toddler toys provided were such an amazing addition to the stay. The house was so clean and the decor was impeccable. Would definitely stay here again if we ever come back to omaha. Thanks.

Omaha Fun Times!

The Bancroft house was the perfect place for my family to stay during our daughter’s graduation weekend. The spacious home provided plenty of room for 11 of us to gather, eat and sleep comfortably. Family from New Zealand, Raleigh, California, and Hawaii were able to be together. For a lot of us, this was the first time we were able to meet our 3 -month-old granddaughter. The owner had two play cribs available for us to use with brand new sheets, still in the package. That was one of many personal touches the owners did to make us feel so welcome and at home. Bedding and towels were top quality. All the comforts of a luxury hotel. Kitchen appliances are new and the kitchen is stocked with plenty of dishes, cookware, wine glasses and a coffee bar. Fresh fruit and protein bars greeted us at arrival. Which was perfect after a long day of travel. Communication with the owner was very good. Check in and check out was a breeze. The locks on the doors were easy to use and allowed all of us to come and go without the hassle of keys. Freshly remodeled, the owners paid attention to detail and did not cut corners. Beautifully designed and comfortable. The dining room table is huge, even without the leaf, it was a great place to gather together. Centrally located and convenient to everything we did, the neighborhood was quiet and safe. This is an exceptional property. Do not miss out on the chance to stay here.

Bancroft house is in a quaint midtown neighborhood. It is centrally located in the city and has easy interstate access so all metro destinations are easily reached by car in less that 15-20 minutes. Aksarben Village, the Blackstone District, and the Old Market offer different vibes to meet your needs and are nearby. The neighborhood is close to the University of Nebraska Medical Center campus. We love the convenience this location offers.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

This house is bigger than it looks! It has 6 separate bedrooms so everyone in your travelling party may have their own room. The patio in front offers cool breezes on hot summer nights and a gas fire pit to warm you on cooler evenings. The rec room in the basement has arcade-style video games and board games to entertain families. We have 5 ROKU-equipped televisions in the house for the days when the weather doesn't cooperate with your plans or you just want a quiet day or evening to relax and binge your favorite shows.
