Marina Front Property in peaceful Cal-De-Sac with large tranquil salt water pool and marina access.
Spacious outdoor patio lounge with BBQ grill and prep station and patio furniture and large TV.

Close to Hanauma Bay, Kona Brewery, Costco, Koko Head, and much more.

While we are not likely to be onsite to welcome you or during your stay, we are easily accessible and timely in responding via the booking platform website/apps between 6am to 9pm EST. We can also be reached via text message or phone call in the event of an emergency. Our phone number will be provided prior to check in.
Our house is located in a quiet cal-de-sac; in the heart of desirable Hawaii Kai, family friendly and safe neighborhood. The neighbors are very quiet and friendly, please reciprocate the aloha spirit.
Hawaii Kai is approximately 15-20 minutes east of Waikiki out of the hustle and bustle of the city. It has an upper scale suburban feel and is one of the more desirable areas on the island.
You can walk 15-20 minutes towards the beach to access the sandbar at the local park. This is a great place for kids and dogs to splash around and watch the outrigger canoe club practice. There is also a great view of Portlock and Koko Head from this beach.

This listing is for the main home of 3 bedrooms, 2 bathroom, a kitchen, living/dining room, large outdoor patio area and inground swimming pool. Total square interior square footage estimated to be around 1500 sq ft.
The property is accessed from the quiet street and there is a security gate (currently opens manually by hand). You may choose to open and close the gate as you come and go or leave it open. This is up to you.
As you pull into the driveway, you will see the double entry doors. On this door is a lockbox. The code will be sent to you the day of arrival. We encourage you to open all doors and windows to let the house breathe and the trade winds to blow through. Keep the screen doors closed so critters don't get in, but leave the glass doors open during your visit for a more enjoyable island experience.
Access to the marina is down the left side of the property and is a shared space between you as Airbnb guests and our long term tenants (although the tenants rarely use this amenity)
As you enter the home from the double entry door, you will see the living room to the right which contains an L shaped couch, several chairs and a coffee table. The space also contains a foozball table and office desk with two chairs and printer making it ideal for remote work.
From the living room, you will see the sliding door leading to the back patio and pool area. Outside is the wall mounted smart tv where you can stream any services you may subscribe to and view from the patio furniture (seats 6+). Outside is also a round dining table with chairs for 4 and a tiki bar with 2 stools. A propane outdoor barbecue grill and prep tables make this a great place for evening dinners and small family gatherings.
Retracing your steps back inside, the kitchen is connected to the living room and is equipped with a fridge, electric range, dishwasher, microwave and most items you would need for a preparing most meals. There is an additional dining area in the kitchen that seats 6-7 people.
As you leave the main living area, you will see the hallway laundry area with washer/dryer, a hallway full bathroom, and 3 bedrooms. The bedroom at the front of the house has a king bed, center bedroom a queen bed, and bedroom closest to the pool a king bed with ensuite full bathroom. (Please note that the tub/shower areas are older design/construction and while they appear to be designed for taking a soaking bath, we ask that you only use the spaces as showers and do not fill the tubs with up with water.)
There is a bus stop at the end of the street (Bus #1)
Your private vehicle is recommended to explore Oahu.
During off peak times, our home is 20-25 minutes drive from Honolulu International Airport.
Lyft and Uber are available on island.
Hawaii Kai is bikeable and walkable with quality infrastructure and sidewalks.
There is absolutely no smoking or parties allowed. Please do not book with us if this is your intention.
There are other long term tenants living in separate private portion of the house in an ADU/"mother in law unit" but you will likely rarely see them. The main entrance through the front gate is shared.
Your entire interior living area is private and for your exclusive use. You will have exclusive private access to the pool side patio and BBQ area.
Please watch all children at all times in the pool and marina areas. Children should not be left unattended in these areas.
We do not provide cable television or tv's in the bedrooms. There is a flat screen smart tv mounted at the outdoors patio area where you can stream services.
If you have never rented a home in Hawaii:
You will see pests in paradise â inevitable Stone Age roaches, some ants, lizards, and bees. While we have combat, roach baits and keep the kitchen clean and keep the screen doors close, the critters make their way into the home. We will leave sprays for you to spray the roaches. However, we ask that you spare the lizards and bees for the eco system.
