Gillade: Renlighet, bekvämligheter, boendets skick och faciliteter och kommunikation

This house was just perfect for us! Four of us stayed. Many more could have. We had THE BEST time and even plan to stay at the same house next year. The house was clean, well-equipped, within walking distance of the beach, restaurants, and boardwalk on the sound side. Best vacation ever! Can’t wait to go back.

A nice place to stay

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was somewhat unhappy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Coffee to cocktails was a very nice house to stay on vacation. It was very clean on the inside and nicely furnished. It was further from the beach than we thought but the walk was easy using the cart provided. The only downfall is that this house is not in a community that offers a pool or tennis courts which we were accustomed to at other properties that we have rented in Duck. Still, we would definitely consider renting this home again.

It was a great spot, walking distance to anything we needed. Was a little disappointed that the fenced in yard was not enough to contain my little terrier, so he wasn't able to be off-leash the whole week, bummer for him. We still had a great time and were thankful the house was equipped with enough baby gear (Crib & baby gates, which were so key, lots of stairs!) However, the highchair had a broken arm so we didn't use it (reported that to rental office).

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed being able to spread out in this spacious home, since there are bedrooms and bathrooms on all three levels. It was well-supplied and in an amazing location. We walked to the boardwalk/town several times everyday, as well as the beach. Loved the hot tub and the fenced yard was perfect for our dog. The crow's nest was our favorite hangout spot for beautiful sunrises, sunsets and star-gazing. We would definitely stay here again. The only suggestion we have is to trim the trees near the road for better visibility. We backed in so it was easier to pull out when we were ready. Thanks for a memorable vacation!

Everything is Pretty Ducky!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house is in a great location in Duck, NC. We walked everywhere and only used the car when we traveled north to Corolla, or south to Manteo for the day. The pictures of the inside of the house are accurate and we were very comfortable. A/C worked just fine. The landscaping outside could use some attention as some of it was a bit overgrown, but we did rent at the very end of the season and that could have just been the "summer growth". A few places in the fence could have been a little more secure for the dog, but we were out there with him when they were in the yard. An upgraded toaster and coffee maker would be a nice addition to the kitchen. These are minor things and didn't impact our vacation! Just a couple nice to haves! Don't over look this property for location!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was fine, clean, nice layout. Kitchen well stocked. Inside was very clean. Outside needs power washing to remove multiple spider webs and insect remnants. Gnat problem in area, and there were several on dining room ceiling which we didn't notice until second day so not sure when they got there. House is further from beach than description states. Actually 5 1/2 blocks which may be an issue for elderly, handicapped or anyone with small children. No parking at beach.

Wonderful house in a great location

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This house was very clean and had everything we needed. The layout was great and I loved that we could enter the deck from the master and main levels. The kitchen was well equipped and our chocolate lab loved the fenced in backyard. The TV had a ton of channels and Netflix. The kids were in the hot tub every night. As a scientist who studies disease and knows the creepy crawlies that can live in hot tub water, I was super appreciative that the owners cleaned the hot tub between all rentals (not all do) and even had the hot tub company come again mid week while we were there. The location of the house is great. It was about a 6-7 minute walk to the beach (right at the end of our street) and the same distance to the Duck boardwalk. It took us three days to figure out that the house was about 2 minutes away from the Scarborough shopping center. Kids loved the popcorn shop and frozen yogurt. Go to Treehouse coffee and Rope Ladder there for breakfast. So good!! Also, the Crows nest was amazing for sunset views (we kept finding our dog up there just checking them out) and it was cool that even though the sun sets on the sound side, if you go to the beach at sunset, you will still see the whole sky light up pink. So pretty!!We will definitely stay in that property again.

Wonderful Week

The house was very comfortable, with all the amenities we needed. And we especially appreciated how dog friendly the house is, with a fenced in yard to let our dogs run freely outside. In fact cleaner than any pet friendly home I have ever rented in OBX. It was very well equipped! Even had a crockpot and just anything you could need . Nice coffee pot. We had a few issues with the digital entry. We never got it resolved . Someone came and still didn’t resolve it. When I called back I was told the maintenance had resolved the issue. Idk why they said that . The code worked sometimes and we had to keep on and on . That was the only issue we had . Hopefully it was resolved before the next guests arrived . Very nice place and would rent again.

Amazing house! Perfect for us and my dog!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: LOVE LOVE LOVE this house. It can sleep many more but there were only 4 of us and my cocker spaniel 🙂. We all LOVED the house. In fact, we’re planning to stay there again next year. The fenced yard was perfect for taking the dog out without having to leash her. She was able to run around and play. The seating on the porches and in the yard were more than adequate for all of us to hang around together or spend a minute alone. We grilled a couple of times on the charcoal grill. The hot tub was used daily. That was a plus! While there are lots of stairs that didn’t bother us at all. In fact, we all enjoyed exploring all 3 levels of the house. We found the 4 bedrooms and 3 baths were perfect for us as well. There’s an awesome baby room, very well equipped with seemingly brand new bed, changing table, high chair, bouncy seat, you name it. We didn’t use it but if needed I would have with no hesitation. The kitchen is exceptionally stocked with everything you could possibly need in the way of dishes, pots, pans, glasses, utensils, flatware. The kitchen and living area are open which are perfect for cooking and staying included in the conversation with others in the living area. We enjoyed and very much appreciated the use of the beach chairs and umbrellas in the garage. My only somewhat negative comment would be the shower in the master suite. It’s tile which is difficult to clean due to the grout. It could have been cleaner. I used it every day (so not awful by any means) and I LOVE the spaciousness but it wasn’t as clean as the rest of the house. Overall, an EXCELLENT house to rent. Can’t wait to go back next year!

Nice place

The house was clean and inviting and very nice. Easy location for the 4th of July parade and beach walk and shopping. The tv in the master bedroom didn’t work and the one in the other bedroom was parental controlled with a code. The cupboards were packed full of items so you had to keep groceries on the counters. I was able to condense a little to have 1 drawer and a shelf but that was just annoying. I also reached out 3 times the week of staying starting Monday (so 5 days before check in) to ask if we needed to just bring sheets or all bedding and no one got back to me until day of check in.

Wonderful house

Bedrooms on all three levels (and bathrooms on all three levels) allow for privacy and quiet time when needed. The living area is comfortable and nicely furnished. Open concept means you can cook and clean up while joining the conversations or watching TV. We made good use of the hot tub, screen porch and ample decking. Rooftop crows nest-type deck is the bonus! Distant views of the ocean and the sound—as the cottage name suggests—perfect for stargazing, coffee...or cocktails! About a 10 minute walk to the beach down a quiet street, but an even shorter walk to Duck Donuts, the boardwalk on the sound or the shops at Scarborough Faire. Owners with dogs will appreciate the well fenced yard, which allows a quick visit outdoors without a walk. Thanks to the owners for leaving plenty of beach chairs and umbrellas.
