This house was perfect! It offered the best of both worlds, close enough to the city for fun days out, but tucked away in a quiet neighborhood where we could relax and unwind each night. The home was spacious, clean, and comfortable. We had a great stay and would definitely return!

It was a comfortable home. The snacks and coffee that the host had to welcome us were a nice touch. We wish we could have stayed longer. It was a quick drive into New Orleans, but a quiet place to stay at the end of the day. Just what we were looking for.

Family Trip

We took a family trip to NOLA for the Taylor Swift concert. We loved the house! Very clean and was stocked well with anything we needed.

Very accommodating!

The hosts were fabulous, easy communication, very well appointed property and they even loaded the kids up with activity books and treats for the stay. If you’re looking for a safe space out of the city to stay at while you’re visit New Orleans, this is the place!

Perfect place to stay out of the way.

This property was the perfect place to stay away from the hustle and bustle of the city. There are amazing restaurant options close by for ease of use. Walter helped make our reunion easy and relaxing!

Perfect family weekend

The river cottage was close to family we were visiting in Destrehan. 4 of us stayed including my infant nephew. Check in info was provided early the day of our arrival and was so easy. There was everything you could need including snacks, laundry and a pack’n play for my nephew. The place is so put together and just adorable. The beds were so comfortable! Would definitely stay again!

Weekend getaway

We had a great time. Location is easy to get to and near the interstate. About 30 minutes away from the French Quarter. Accommodations were nice and clean. Communication with the host was easy.

Safe, quiet, clean location on the levee away from the hustle of New Orleans yet still conveniently close to attractions, stores, etc. Walter goes above and beyond for pet guests. Wonderfully responsive and hospitable host!

Nice place, convenient to New Orleans, but quiet.

The house was nice, as advertised and very clean. Owner was good to communicate with. It's in a quiet neighborhood not too far from the airport. A good alternative to staying in the much busier New Orleans proper. We'd go back.

Clean, quiet, and cozy

My family was in town for the JDM Visionary conference and couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay! The home is clean, quiet, and cozy. It was the perfect place to relax during services and quiet at night. Walter was a great host and very responsive to messages. We will definitely be staying again the next time we are in town!

Here is some useful information for your stay. 1. The User Codes will be issued before your arrival.2. A mat will be placed at the Front & Back Doors for shoes. There is also some hooks for Jackets and Coats.3. The TV is operated by 2 remotes. The Big remote will be used for the Power, Volume and the Input. The TV will use Roku as the Streaming Service. It will operate through HDMI 1. Feel free to use any of your own subscription services.4. Towels & Face cloths will be in closet in the guest bathroom or the closet in the Master bedroom.5. Garbage days are Tuesday and Friday. Please place the garbage receptacle out to the street facing the street.6. The Cleaning supplies will be located in the laundry room either on the cart or in the cabinet closest to the door.7. No Loud Music after 10pm.8. WiFi Network is wwrellis -T-mobile 1151. Password is Oaklawn 105.9. Upon checkout, please strip the bed linen. Place the bed linen and the used towels in the laundry bins.10. An assortment of K-cups have been provided along with creamers & sugars. Snacks & Water have also been provided.11. Toiletries by Dove( shampoo, body wash & conditioner) have been provided.12.
