Extremely accommodating

We had a great stay at Castaway cove! We were looking for a day of rental after our original booked stay was Unsatisfactory. We were so happy with our decision. A great place to stay right by the dam at a great value.

Great location and dock area

We had a family of 8 and our dog. Nice location close to strip if you like that and dock was great for floating. Have to walk up hill a ways to find grassy area for pet to do her business. Place could have been cleaner found some napkins and food behind one of beds but emailed owners.

Perfect

Pamela was amazing, my family owned business is building a barndominium for a friend and we were trying to keep costs low. I was offered a great discount when I told Pamela about the situation. The property was clean and way nicer than I expected . Even though we were working I enjoyed the off season . I will be back for work or fun God bless you Pamela and crew!

Cancelled On Me

This company cancelled on me less than 24 hours before I was supposed to stay there. Although I did get a refund, they were very unhelpful with what they could do. I did not receive any apology and I do not recommend you trust them! I will be reaching out to VRBO with my complaints.

Brenna - as mentioned, your stay was cancelled therefore we will reach out to VRBO due to not staying at the property - the review should not be allowed. The property had a vehicle drive through the outer wall and required repair; which is why the cancellation was sudden and not optional. We spent time looking for other options for your stay, but did not have anything of interest. I believe that our decision to refund your funds via VENMO so you could have them to immediately book rather than waiting for them to be restored to your card was a step above the standard cancellation practices. While we never prefer to cancel, this was a very unique situation in which it could not be avoided.

So, we rented this out for a college grad gift with proximity to the strip in mind for our expected crew. Headline states 'Walk to strip'. Well...you certainly can - just be prepared to get quite a work out as it is straight up a 1/4 mile pothole filled rocky road. Most of us went home with a scrape or two from the way back down in the pitch dark. I'm saying this with a smile as we had a lot of fun. Some might choose the short drive to top. Home is perfect for a crowd- deck lets you rent a boat & store it on site. Extra beach towels, thoughtful welcome bag too. I'll keep this one on my list now that I know the full scoop.
