Underbara, vackert inredda 1917 hantverkare-bungalow i premiärvandringsområdet i Seattle - teatrar, restauranger, shopping och mer shopping, parker och vandringsleder; nära busslinjer till centrala Seattle, Seattle Art Museum och Seattle Center och Sound Transit-tågen; nära tulpanfält och färjor till San Juanöarna och historiska områden norr om Seattle; Mt. Rainier och Mount St. Helens är en dagstur; tyst bostadsområde med massor av gatuparkering. Koppla av i sittgruppen utanför en lugn tid under det gråtande körsbäret, njut av en kort promenad till en av stadens teatrar eller restauranger (sushi, italiensk, japansk, thailändsk, vegetarian, fusion, pizza, etc., etc.). Best Stay!

This property was just enough space for my fiancé and I. Our trip in Seattle was busy, but this apartment really allowed us to decompress after a whirlwind of excitement. Coming from the South we were a little nervous about PNW hospitality, but Garnett made us feel right at home. I love this place. Definitely will be back in the future

Wallingford Gem!

I stayed here while working in Seattle. What a treat! The darling cottage was clean, well equipped and the perfect to environment to relax and unwind. I walked as much as I had time for- so many walkable options for eating, shopping, sightseeing. I look forward to visiting Garnett’s lovely home again!

What a perfect home away from home

I needed an in-city retreat, just a little break from my own home and stresses. I LOVE this spot. I felt like I was staying at a friend's place, but had the privacy and my own kitchen.The apartment is beautifully lit and colored. It's thoughtfully decorated -- love the art and the books next to the bed, which are perfect for reading before sleep. A lovely garden view in both the front and back -- I hope I can return sometime in the spring. The kitchen is well stocked with just about everything you'll need. The shower stall is a little small, but given everything else in the place, it's easy to withstand. So many vacation homes feel cold and soulless. Garnett's place is the exact opposite.

Wonderful Location and Host!

Fantastic location for exploring Wallingford and Fremont, with bus stops to get to most anywhere within a 5-15 minute walk! A small, quaint location that had just what we needed for our time there! The location is shared with two other "apartments" connected to the house, one occupied by Garnett, the host. During the three weeks here, we never heard any noises from the other parts of the home. Garnett was an amazing host! Very responsive and considerate. She even dropped off fresh-picked blueberries for us one night which was incredibly sweet! Overall, the property suited our needs perfectly for the price point and we loved our time here! Would absolutely recommend!

A Second Home in Seattle

We wish that we had a second home like Garnett's place! The sound of the fountain under the weeping cherry tree was welcoming, as was Garnett herself. The furnishings in the one-bedroom apartment were appropriate to the 1920's wood-framed house, but very thoughtfully laid out to make the space inviting and comfortable. The kitchen is very well equipped; every need has been anticipated! We loved the decorations that we might have acquired on our travels ourselves. All this care made it second nature to care for the apartment as if it were our own. Garnett's description of the location, its proximity to restaurants, and the strollable neighborhood are all accurate. This is the first time I've stayed someplace where the host has put a nosegay of garden flowers on the bathroom sink!

The Perfect Retreat

I was delighted with our stay in this lovely little bungalow inside a historic home in a great neighborhood. Everything was in bloom and the welcoming garden and fountain was so soothing. We attended a family graduation at Seattle University and this was close enough and so great to come back to after the the traffic and parking in the city. Our host was lovely and thoughtfully provided us with many comforts of home. The bed was quiet and the room was nice and dark. The electric fireplace was a romantic addition as were the fresh roses out of her garden. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Perfect stay

Apartment was charming, comfortable, and well-equipped. Garnett was great host and thought of everything a traveler might need. Great location - walking distance to grocery store, neighborhood restaurants and pubs. We will definitely stay here again when we are in the area.

A very comfortable, quiet and restful month

The. host/owner. is very pleasant, attentive and available. No problems at all with property.. Two blocks walk to downtown Wallingford and many restaurants and stores, pharmacy etc. Plenty of parking. I highly recommend this apartment.

I bought my house in 1987. Once I toured this neighborhood, I knew it was for me. The mother-in-law apartment was part of the house when I moved in - and has provided opportunity for 'sharing the wealth' all these years.

You'll be able to look out the back kitchen window at the lovely garden, close the curtains for a quiet and peaceful sleep in the bedroom, enjoy the bright sun and park-view from the living area. If the day is warm, open the divided-light porch windows and let the breeze blow in the scents of the flowers and trees that surround this charming property.
