About this space
Soothe your inner Squatch. The Squatch Lodge is the original Squatch Property and the home of Carl, the mascot Bigfoot. This log cabin has everything you need to have as much rambunctious or relaxing fun as you want. Our cabin is located at beautiful Nolin Lake! The property has a seasonal water view. Access to the water is located at our neighborhood Nolin Estates boat ramp.

You've probably heard, there are a few things that the Squatch Lodge is famous for. The first is the amount of snacks and goodies we spoil the guests with. The second is the extremely fun yet tasteful sasquatch decor. . Enjoy hiking, boating, fishing, cave exploration and many other attractions near by.

Great stay

Turned a work trip into a quick fun stay. Place was perfect. It was super clean and had everything we needed. Would definitely book again next time

Clean house and fun location.

This house was very clean! We used this as our home base while investigating Mammoth Cave NP, not too bad of a drive. The snacks provided were a great plus, I've never stayed where so many pluses were given. The kids loved the house, all the decorations and games! We had a great stay. Thank you.

Perfect Respite

We were in town for a funeral and the squatch lodge was so clean, lovely, and peaceful. Plenty of extras providing for a superb experience. We’ll definitely be back in the future!

Great stay!

We stayed here for two night and went to Mammoth Cave and Kentucky Downunder. It is a wondeful place for my dog and my family. We will come again if we can.

Great Cabin

My entire family loved the Squatch Lodge. The gameroom was a huge hit with my teenage boys. There was plenty of room and the cabin was very clean and had everything we needed. The hosts were wonderful!

Bass Fishing

Great house that is super clean and comfortable. The only drawback was that the driveway is really hard to back a boat and trailer, but we got it in.

Great family property

We had a great time at the Squatch lodge. The facilities were clean and had plenty of space for a family to spread out. The basement was great for kids with some games and indoor options. It was close to Mammoth Cave National Park and made our visits very easy.

Loved Squatch Lodge

Perfect for a weekend getaway. The beds we comfy and the kitchen was great. The fire pit was stocked and we really enjoyed relaxing around the fire. The lodge was clean and inviting. Loved all the snacks!

Farewell to Summer

Everything was so very nice. The firepit was located down a steep hill which made it hard on old knees. Other than that, our stay was a pleasant experience.

Squatch was a hidden gem!

They thought of everything! Clean and cozy. Fun theme throughout. Beds were great. Full kitchen. The downstairs game room was good fun! Just far from anything. It was a lovely get away!

The best home away from home we’ve been to

From the moment we walked in the door we were in awe. This was the perfect get away, so many things to do - ping pong, darts, the arcade game, a gas grill, snacks, relax on the back deck, a coffee bar.. this vacation home has been our best experience yet! Wish we weren’t 8 1/2 hours away or we would come back way too often.

Relaxation and rest achieved

From the time that we arrived, we were more than satisfied with our stay! The accomodations were as advertised, prompt responses to questions and clean, well-kept property. My grandchildren found so many activities within the home to entertain themselves. The ping pong table and board games were most popular. Bottom line of a very relaxing trip.

Great Get Away

We travel as a group of 4. Two sisters and husbands. The guys usually golf and ladies star gaze during meteor showers. This get away was perfect, even though we had clouds and rain. Nice, clean. It’s set up to entertain. I would recommend this rental to a family of any age.

Absolutely Amazing.

We had 9 people, 2 adults, 3 teenagers and 4 kids. The lodge was big enough to accommodate us all and not be cramped. We actually talked about coming back next year! The location is about 20 mins from town, and the walmart. Mammoth caves is about 45 mins. The leitchfield aquatic center was about 20 mins and we had a blast.

Fun stay!

We enjoyed this VRBO. The decor was fun and the overlook very nice. It was clean, well stocked and had everything we needed. My only comment is that I thought we could take kayaks down to the lake which was like 3 minutes per the listing description. It was a bit more difficult than that and they needed to be loaded into our vehicle. They were nice to have and we enjoyed them. Also, we went to Mammoth Cave and it is an hour drive to the visitor center. I thought it was closer based on the listing. Overall a nice stay.

Great place! Friendly neighbor too!

Place was better than advertised. Free snacks and coffee galore was nice too. We were hunting all weekend so we didn't have time to use the kayaks or ping pong or vintage video game, etc, but the beds were good, the kitchen was stocked with spices, cookware, etc. Very nicely appointed place and we would stay there again 100%. There was a very thorough visitors manual too. Basement bath shower was not hot enough but that is just an adjustment that can be made after removing the faucet handle. I'm sure the owner will fix that once he knows about it. I still give it a 10 out of 10!

Perfect!

1st things 1st, the host was very quick and easy to respond with. Hands down the best host experience I’ve had. The house was located in a great area. We kayaked and went to Blue Holler off-road park. It is Kentucky so you will experience narrow mountain roads but we hauled 2 trailers down just fine. The driveway is on an incline but we were able to back truck and trailer into it. House was stocked with everything we needed and more! There was firewood and a game room that kept us plenty busy. It was clean and comfortable. Thanks so much for a great vacation!

No parking

I would not recommend if you have a boat or more than 2-3 small vehicle's. The driveway is extremely steep and small. The rule book was also a joke. Such as here we provide snacks but you will be charged if you eat them. We was not able to stay and had to find somewhere else last minute. Bummer 👎
