Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. Spring Creek Cottage # 2, 400 Yards from the boat ramp, 3 bedrooms, 2 and 1/2 bathrooms, newly renovated, walk to the lake if you like. The cottage main level has Family room, Kitchen, Dining area, Master Bedroom and Bath, washer and dryer, plus 2 porches, the down stairs has 2 bedrooms and a full bath and 1/2, plus a covered bbq area with gas grill. Enjoy some of the best bass fishing in the nation on Guntersville Lake which covers 108 square miles! Within half a mile of Publix grocery store, beverage store and gas station. Just minutes from the new Guntersville City Harbor. And just 15 minutes from the new Sand Mountain Park and Amphitheater. Guntersville is host to Bass Fishing tournaments, Boat Races, Festivals, Zip Line adventures and Rock the Dock. With great local food venues, Craft Beer Breweries and 2 State Parks near by, Guntersville State Park and Cathedral Caverns State Park, there is always plenty of adventure. Stayed at this home for a fishing tournament. House was very clean, spacious and had all we needed for the 4 night stay. There was plenty of parking outside for vehicles/boats. The host was very welcoming and even stopped by to make sure all was well and that we did not need anything. Definitely planning another stay in May at one of his other properties.

Charming lake cottage

House was in a great location, charming and very clean. Communication was superb. We enjoyed our stay, lots to do in this quaint little town. I would recommend this to others.

Great for Fishermen!

Great for guys trip! We came for a fishing tournament and it was perfect! Ben was super responsive during the booking process. The house itself was great! Lots of room, everything we needed, and very clean! You will be glad you came!

Great little getaway!!

This place is amazing. Quick responses from property manager, painless check in process, well stocked kitchen if cooking, two bedrooms downstairs with Jack and Jill bathroom, nice size master upstairs, fantastic laundry room with utility sink, quaintly furnished, awesome front and back porch, nicely shaded, super close to boat dock and Publix. Could not have found a better place for our needs!

Great getaway

Great property in a good location. Super clean especially for a pet friendly listing. We brought our dog and and she enjoyed it too! Everything is just as described online. It was easy to communicate with the property owner who was very eager to help. We will definitely stay again.

Memorial Day Weekend

We were in town for a family birthday celebration over Memorial Day weekend. The house was very comfortable and in an easy location to reach all Guntersville has to offer. The neighborhood was quiet. Communication with the property owner was excellent. Unlike many rentals, this property does not have the usual incidentals so bring your own soap or shower gel, laundry supplies, and first morning coffee. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again.

Weekend in Guntersville

It was wonderful! Home was first class. Furnishings and decor were all new. Ben Gilliland, the host, was the best at communicating with us the whole stay. Location was a plus for us. Convenient to everything. Private back deck and patio as there is only woods in the rear. Very Quiet Neighborhood. There is no negatives about this place.

The Best

This is a wonderful place to stay and you will not find a better host. The home is lovely with lots of room. The bed was very comfortable. The front porch and back deck are enclosed by railings so your pup should you bring one will have a place to hang out. A boat ramp really is right around the corner. But what brings it all together is the owner. He will go over and above to make sure yiu are taken care of including going out in a thunderstorm to make sure your remote for the TV works (thanks again Ben). Will definitely be back and stay in one of his properties.

The home has a musty smell, might need some Damp rid. The master bed mattress was so soft it was very hard to turnover or sleep comfortably. We suggest someone should check the downstairs railing. It was loose and could be an issue in the future. All in all a decent stay. We were totally confused about lake being advertised as close. We didn’t feel that was it was. Would have to drive to actually see lake or fish.

Lots of potential… but

The place has great potential. The house layout was nice and our stay was okay. The upstairs seemed cleaner and the beds were very comfortable, but several things need improvement. We arrived to find sticky urine and mouse poop next to one of the downstairs toilets. The floor was unswept as evidenced by the chewed wood bits left by the previous tenant’s pet and a dead roach at the bottom of the stairs. The other frustration was no coffee, bottled waters, no small toiletries for showers and no toilet paper holders in the bathrooms. These inexpensive extras go a long way. With improved attention to detail we would consider staying here again.

Britt S, I apologies for the poor cleaning issue. thanks for bring this to my attention, we take cleaning seriously. We have 6 properties and did have a couple of cleaning issues that we as the host noticed, but never a complaint from a guest starting in January - February 2024. Once we addressed this issue with the cleaning service they informed us they had been thinking about doing something else since the first of the year. Needless to say they had started short cutting the cleaning. I will say that particular cleaning service had been with me since 2019 and had done a great job up to that point. We replaced the old cleaning service with a new one 3-1-2024. We believe the cleaning issue has been resolved. As far as providing , coffee, water, toiletries, etc... we don't state in the property listing we do, however this is a good idea, we will consider it in the future. After checking all the other reviews to date i noted yours is the only one that is not a 5 star review, and the cleanliness is a total contradiction to all the other guest. I feel like the cleaning issue was isolated, non the less i apologize. . Thanks William

Wonderful property. Comfy beds. Great 2 bedrooms downstairs for 4 teenage girls. Huge master bedroom upstairs. Full size washer and dryer. Fully equipped kitchen with single and whole pot Kuerig. Outdoor grill. Wish we could have stayed longer.
