My place is close to the beach and nightlife. You’ll love my place because of the ambiance. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families (with kids), and furry friends (pets).
The space
This home has original 100 year old windows with the hand poured glass that reminds you of Grandmas house back in the day. They allow the light to flow thru and bring the sunshine in. It has a great feel with the 10' ceilings. This house has the old school charm with all updated features of today including the H.V.A.C. to keep you cool in the summer and warm in the winters. The backyard is large and fenced in for dogs. There is a Weber charcoal BBQ grill for use along with a patio table to enjoy the yard. The front porch is very cozy with 4 comfy chairs to put up your feet and enjoy the ocean breeze and watch the perfect sunsets. Best place in the morning to enjoy your first cup of coffee.
Guest access
Enjoy the entire home with privacy. Owners do not live on sight but are reachable by phone if you need assistant with anything. Doors are by electronic code and private driveway for parking for 2-3 cars. Free off street parking is also available.
Other things to note
You will love this space, its a 15 minute walk to the Pleasure Pier along the sea wall. Our favorite is the Spot just a five minute walk and it has five venues including the best burgers and views on the island. Just next door is Brick House Tavern with a beach front bar and gas fire features. Float bar is just a short 7 minute walk with a beach front swimming pool at no charge and allows children until 2 p.m. Nicks has a beach front pool and spa open to the public free with a small charge for children with great happy hour specials including food and drink. Moody Gardens and Schlitterbaun is a short 3 mile drive or head over to downtown Galveston to do some shopping or catch a cruise ship.

Excellent Beach Cabin

We had a great stay here. Very clean and had everything we needed, including beach towels. Great bbq in back yard. Super comfy beds and quiet neighborhood. We shall return.

Pup perfection

We traveled with our Springer Spaniel, and really appreciated having a fenced-in grassy back yard, a hose in the front driveway for rinsing off sand from the beach, and Paul’s thoughtfulness to have a container of dog treats next to the coffee and popcorn he’d left on the kitchen counter for us humans. While the sidewalks in the neighborhood don’t always continue the whole way, on our street they did, making for more pleasant walks. Paul even provided information about the 4th of July fireworks. The accommodations were comfortable and delightfully quirky, and located close enough yo the beach, but far enough from the crowds. A great stay!
