Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. Enjoy the two king beds and the queen bedroom, as well as the queen size pull-out couch. The house offers Netflix on all four of the flat screen TVs for your enjoyment.

The backyard also offers peace and tranquility. Enjoy the mini-golf course, the large trampoline, and the outdoor dining and gathering areas for you and your group.

A park with tennis, volleyball, soccer, and a walking trail are a block away.

Service animals are allowed. The guest agrees to an additional per fee of $150 per animal. If additional cleaning is required to the interior or exterior of the property because of the pet, the guest agrees to an additional pet cleaning fee at a maximum $300.

Pros & Cons

Overall, it was a decent experience. However, we won’t be staying again. I’ve listed some pros and cons below. Pros:-Beds, pillows, and blankets were incredibly comfortable! -Location was really convenient -Check in was very easy-Host was helpful and responsive Cons:-Toilet paper felt like less than 1-ply. Contributed to making the experience feel low quality -SUPER small space for the price-The living room couch was sunken in and very uncomfortable -Many updates could be made to help enhance the experience. As I mentioned, the host was really wonderful and very responsive. The place was just not a good fit for me and my family.

We enjoyed a 3-day stay as we visited Chicago museums for 2 days. Everything went smoothly and we enjoyed our time. If I had to identify room for improvement it would be a more detailed instruction of controlling the furnace thermostat. It warms up very quickly in the house! Otherwise, all was great!

Girls weekend getaway

A safe area was our biggest concern while booking a place for our weekend getaway and this place delivered. The neighborhood was nice and quiet, all of us felt safe, even when dark out. Not very far from downtown Chicago. The house was nice and overall clean, though we did come across some minor cleanliness problems but when I contacted the host they answered right away. Getting in was a breeze. Loved being able to airplay on the TVs, though we didn’t watch very much because our trip was so short, we enjoyed that very much. Lots of mirrors in the house, which we didn’t expect but so convenient, we didn’t have to wait for the bathroom if we needed it - and we did! 4 girls and 1 bathroom, the mirrors were an unexpected perk.

Nice Elmhurst, Ill., home

We enjoyed our five-night stay at the home in Elmhurst, Ill. The cozy house had just about everything we needed. It is in a quiet, pleasant neighborhood with good connections to anywhere we wanted to go west of Chicago. It was the perfect location to visit with family and friends. The bedrooms and kitchen were comfortable. We felt at home there.

Not as expected.

Overall it’s an ok place to stay. You can tell it’s a flip house. Lots of half fixed or non upgraded items. Furniture is not comfortable at all. Beds are ok. The tub doesn’t drain in the bathroom when showering. I brought these concerns up to the host and she did not mention or address them. Book cautiously.

Humming Along in Hummingbird Lane!

I stayed about a week at this home. It was nice and quiet, which is what I wanted. No barking dogs and the neighborhood is residential and quiet. The house is clean and nicely decorated. Hallways and bathroom is small and the furniture is large for the rooms. A large person would have a hard time navigating the furniture. There are large flat screen tvs in every room and a huge tv in the living room. There are Queen or King beds in all 3 rooms. The beds are okay, and didn't hurt my back, so I was happy. The overhead lights are all very bright and I moved the one table lamp into the bedroom at night to read. The host was kind and gracious. We had a disconnect for my arrival because she didnt give me her cell number and reached out via VRBO app to find out my arrival time. Her instructions said the code would be programmed by 3pm and I arrived at 8pm. I was unable to get into the house, as I don't have vrbo app on my phone and sat on the porch trying to find my password! Luckily the host heard me via doorbell video and was able to program the door so I could get in. After that she gave me her cell number which was much easier for communication. The back yard is small, but nice. The "greens" for putt putt are a bit moldy. Fall has arrived and leaves abound on the trampoline and putting greens. If a guest has kids, the trampoline may be a hit. I would recommend this house for singles, couples and families, but not for large sized people.

Elmhurst Visit

Nice, clean bungalow on the west side of Elmhurst. Very close to Bergen’s Park, which has tons of activities for young and older kids. Elmhurst is centrally located so it’s very easy to head downtown or any of the other Chicago suburbs. Also, only about 10 miles from ORD.

You get what you pay for. Located in a safe nice area. The house is your typical older home. However, the beds and pillows are horrible. There is hardly anything is the kitchen to cook with.

Chicago Trip

Your place was very comfortable. Clean and wonderful location. I would definitely stay again. Restaurants and stores near by. Loved the Fry the coop restaurant and the pizza yummy. Only upset and im sure it was a mishap is no toiletries left for us. No paper towels no tissue and 1 roll of T.P. for 5 adults.

Convenience of home in a new city.

Spent a weekend in Chicago. This was a nice place to stay. We had 4 kids who were with us, two 14 year olds and two 10 years olds. We enjoyed the fenced back yard. Kids liked the little golf course. It was a great place to stay, close location to the main highways, Walmart, and Target. We went to Field Musuem and Shedd Aquarium and it was about 30 mins away. Waay better than staying in a hotel.
