Magnificent ski lodge!

Beautiful home, very accomdating for all of us to gather on Thanksgiving and get 3 days of skiing in. Home is well stocked, beautiful gift basket upon arrival, beautiful views and gorgeous bathrooms. Bedding is all luxurious. Very happy, will be back!

Rest and Relaxation

This was the perfect space to spend a few days to relax and unwind. It snowed during our stay which made our time here even more magical. Seeing the the snow capped mountains and wildlife was just what we needed!

Beautiful home, great location

Owners made sure we had everything we could have needed... home was more beautiful than we could have imagined. Spent a week with 10 of us, 8 adults and 2 kids.. more than enough space, very luxurious.. thanks so much for making our vacation memorable..

Family ski trip

We had four families and total of 18 people. Beautiful house and good memories having that many people all staying together. Ski in/out allowed different groups to come and go as they wished.

Great Stay in Big Sky

We had a wonderful visit on Big Sky. The location and views from the house are amazing. The house handled our group of 18 very well. We enjoyed the fire pit on cool nights with the whole family. The owners and house manager were very responsive and made sure any little issue we had was immediately addressed. I highly recommend this house and Big Sky for a great vacation.

One of the very best properties rented in our 35 year annual ski trip history! Owners are just great about catering to your every need while there. The house and furnishings are over the top great! Amazing Ski House at Big Sky

A group of friends and I take an annual ski trip to a different location each year. The group has grown over the years and this house was large enough to accommodate us. Since I live nearby in Livingston, I coordinated and booked the trip. The communications from the property owners (Chris, Den and Kenney) was probably the best I've experienced through any VRBO property I've reserved. The check-in instructions were detailed and easy to follow, as well as instructions for trash removal and check out. Several folks changed their arrival to a day early and it was very easy to update my reservation and add another day. The house is a short walk downhill to the Pony Express Lift so it was very convenient to access the slopes. A little bit of a hill at the end of the day walking from Pony Express back to the house but it was easy. Interior was stunning and beautifully decorated, very clean. We didn't take advantage of the beautiful outdoor decks due to the snow and cold but many of us used the hot tub outside on the ground floor. If you come during ski season, you'll definitely need 4WD vehicles or chains. We received a ton of snow while we were there but none of us had issues and the plows were going continuously. We occasionally drove down the mountain to the Roxy grocery store to buy more food. I highly recommend this property. Would love to see it in the summer months to take advantage of the huge outdoor decks and seating areas.

Magnificent Cathedral Home

All 11 of us from age 17 to 81 had a wonderful time. Each person had a very special place to sleep and we all could gather in a number of beautiful rooms and the deck for magnificent views. This home is sitting on a very special piece of property overlooking the mountains. The high ceilings, massive beams, and cathedral-like windows is why this is titled "Magnificent Cathedral Home." Many of us hiked the trails and especially enjoyed all the wild flowers. The hot tub helped relax after the mountain hiking. The kitchen and grill were all well equipped for family breakfast and dinners. We were able to drive to Yellowstone National Park to tour for a day and another day to tour the Grand Tetons. At night on the deck, we could view the stars all across "Big Sky". We all were blessed to be together as a family and feel at home by the owners of this home. Chris was very good and very friendly about emailing answers to any questions we had.

Great House with Spectacular Views

This house comfortably housed our family of 18. We had ages 3 to 73 and everyone was pleased. We especially enjoyed the views, spacious seating for meals, and fire pit. There is so much to do in the surrounding area like rafting, hiking, Yellowstone, boating, fishing, and zip lines. We did it all. Oh yeah you are bound to see wildlife - moose, elk, foxes, coyote, deer, and bison (Yellowstone). We even saw a bear off of 191. If you love the outdoors and especially the mountains this is the place!!

Great location, fantastic home!

We stayed in this lovely home for our Annual Ski Spectacular and it worked out very nicely for us. 12 adults, no children. The kitchen was well-stocked, the baths and bedrooms, well-appointed and comfortable. You do have to walk down the road to the Pony Express but it's not far and not at all inconvenient. To ski home, hit the Bozeman trail and veer left through the Twin Tunnels. It gets you within 100 yards of the house. The owners were very approachable and answered any and all of our questions promptly and kindly. Highly recommend this property for your next vacation.

a beautiful mountain setting

Our stay was fantastic~ traveled to Big Sky with a family group of 10. The home was spacious with beautiful mountain views. Was well stocked with everything to make our stay easy: a big family room, large kitchen table, 2 W/Ds, lots of beds, towels & blankets, well appointed kitchen and the welcome basket was a nice touch after a long travel day! Ski-out was an easier go w pony express lift than the ski-in with a tough, flat trail to get back home. Chris was wonderful to work with: great communication, instructions and follow up. She was even kind enough to get a lost item returned to us after our stay. This was really a trip of a lifetime complete with 12" of fresh powder on day #1, sunshine ski day on day #2, a snowmobile trip to Yellowstone. Gorgeous all around.Thank you

Relaxing Summer Break with Family

Great layout for a large group with both individual private space and great meeting areas - large great room, kitchen, dining rooms, large deck, loft for the kids, and fire pit. We took easy mornings cooking breakfast, catching up on email, and enjoying the wonderful morning air on the deck, hit the area attractions including hikes, rafting, zip lines, side-by-side ATVs, Big Sky Resort, Big Sky Center, Bozeman, and trips through Yellowstone park. Spent the evenings around the fire pit roasting marshmallow s’mores and watching the stars. Absolutely no issues with the property as it was well maintained and as advertised. Lots of wildlife around the property including a fox and a doe mule deer that passed through each morning and evening. Chipmunks galore and swallows nesting on the eves. Very quiet area except for the helicopter shuttling construction supplies to the top of Lone Mountain during the afternoons. We will definitely return for another visit.

Log Mansion in the Sky

Gorgeous home with spectacular views! Like having a mountain lodge all to your self. The bathrooms are amazing. The beds are extremely comfortable with memory foam mattresses. The hot tub is perfectly positioned for outdoor soaking. The loft has 6 comfortable beds for the kids giving the adults privacy downstairs. And the hosts provide excellent hospitality & superb communication. We went for spring skiing in March & were not disappointed. The Moonlight Basin & Madison Base side of the mountain that you are on is less crowded & has the longest runs in Big Sky. Horseshoe clocks in at 2.5 miles. The Pony Express lift is a 2 minute walk downhill & the return trail brings you right across the street from the home. You will need 4WD or snow chains to get out of the steep driveway during winter conditions, but the roads up to the house are all plowed. Bucket list trip is Yellowstone National Park in winter which is 1:15 from the house.

Location, views, skiing, golfing, pristine mountains and rivers. Exceptional Really!
About Our Home and Big Sky Ski and Golf Resort:
You may want to rent a vehicle in Bozeman at the airport where you land. (There are also car services and taxis that will take you to Big Sky but ideally a vehicle is the most convenient and will allow you the freedom to explore the area.)

The mountain views from our home are exceptional and our home is ideally set at the top of the mountain in the center of the ski resort. The Pony Express Ski lift is approximately 150 yards from our front door.

Big Sky Village is very quaint and is located at the bottom of the mountain. Here you will find a few main street and a few groceries stores, a theater and a 10 to 14 shops in Big Sky. There are also some wonderful restaurants along the river.

There is also the much larger town of Bozeman nearby where you can shop the antiques or stock up at Costco's (which we recommend you do on your way out from the airport) however, everything you really need you will be able to find right in Big Sky so there really is no reason to venture out to far unless you want to visit the wonders of Yellowstone Park (30 minutes away) or head down the canyon just to take in the scenery or perhaps dine at a lovely restaurant along the river.

Big Ski is an ideal Ski Resort for families and couples.
It is incredibly scenic and stunning beautiful.
We have traveled to over 30 ski resorts worldwide however our experience in Big Sky still exceeds them all. It is simply the most pristine, provides the best skiing anywhere and represents the 'True Montana Experience' (wildlife and all).
The summers are spectacular here as well and Yellowstone Park makes a perfect day trip from our home.
