Lovely Marigny stay for large group

We stayed at this lovely guest house for mardi gras with a couple families. The location is fantastic and the restaurant downstairs is great. This is not a modern or updated hotel--it's best suited for those who are wanting a classic Marigny experience in a historic building.

Perfect for Large Groups

The balcony house and adjacent properties are all part of what was a bed and breakfast! It’s the layout of a house with multiple rooms and each room has its own door code. You can all stay together and be separated as well. The main balcony house sleeps 16. We added a few rooms next door and it wasn’t horrible by any means having them come over to the main house. We loved our stay, the property manager was super nice and always available. We had one toilet issue out of 17 girls and it was fixed right away. There is a restaurant below that is so close for food and drinks. Everything is pretty much in walking distance. We walked to no 1 cemetery and back; all down bourbon street; Jackson square; the french market; and Frenchmen street is the closest to the property. There is also a cute small coffee shop 1 block down on the corner that we went to every morning. It was one of our best stays in NOLA. Highly recommended!!

Nice property, but

Cool decor, good location, and overall nice stay. Kit was very nice and made sure we had what we needed. The only thing that was somewhat annoying was that the property was listed as a bed and breakfast. We found out a later, after it was too late to cancel, that they discontinued breakfast because of covid. Not a huge deal, but the VRBO listing should have been updated to reflect this. We had 8 people stay for 3 days so the additional cost was not insignificant.

Clean House and Great Location

Overall we had an amazing visit / trip to New Orleans and the Balcony Guest House was a great. Would definitely stay here again and would 100% recommend.

Outstanding accommodations and location. Had 12 guys for my bachelor party and enough can’t be said on how perfect the Balcony House worked out for us. Very friendly staff and phenomenal food right down stairs. Thank you Zak, and the rest of the Silk Road family for an amazing experience in New Orleans. Can’t wait to come back!

French Quarter Character

Rented the upstairs for our group of 12 following a 7 day cruise. We were all pleased with the accommodations and location. The restaurant downstairs provides a great selection of food and drink offerings. You will be just blocks away from a market, and a very cute coffee/breakfast/bakery place. You can also walk several blocks to frenchman street for music and beverages. The owners were always available by phone call or text, and very kind to our many questions. Only drawback that i can think of is , the stairs up to the loft if someone was disabled. We had a great time experiencing the culture of NOLA !

We were at the Balcony Guest House with 16 ladies for my daughter's bachelorette weekend.

Balcony Guest House was amazing! There was room for all 16 comfortably, but the bonus was the charm and beautiful decor that made the stay feel extra special! The balcony was perfect to lounge during the sunny afternoons when taking a break from the quarter. The proximity to Frenchmen Street was perfect for the group. There are no words for the special attention given from Zak, his wife, and other very hospitable colleagues. From welcoming us, to attending to house details, even the lovely ( and expert) bartender at Silk Road, all were professional and overly accommodating. I will definitely spread the word about this perfect B and B to friends with a NOLA trip in their future!

Perfect Spot

This spot was just what we needed for our group of 15. Plenty of room and the location was good. We walked to the French Quarter most of the time, but it is a quick Uber ride as well. The team was great and hospitable. Would recommend staying here and I would stay here again!

My fraternity and I had a great time in New Orleans during our National Convention.

I absolutely recommend this rental property with the highest of praises. The staff was very friendly and were always there within seconds upon our request. The restaurant below served some very deliciously tasty meals. I highly recommend this Spot. Zak the owner made sure all our needs were met. It was a great stay. I’ll be back soon.

The best trip we have ever had!

We traveled here for my husbands 40th birthday. The house accommodated all his siblings and spouses.13 people total. All of the beds were comfortable we all had our own bathroom and plenty of privacy. The food that Chef Zak prepared Saturday evening was unbelievable and everyone enjoyed it. All in all the entire staff at Silk Road was very friendly making this one of best vacations that we have ever had. And my husbands entire family agrees. Book this house it’s also close to Frenchman street which we preferred over Bourbonstreet. We will be back for my 40th!

Rented out the entire home for a large group. Check in and out are easy. Great staff. Everything clean and I’m working condition. Each room has bathroom and a fridge. Patio balcony is a perfect gathering place. Hall/main AC are freezing, but I maybe the only that thought that. Very very happy overall.

We reserved the Balcony Guest house for a group of 14 and everyone commented on what a great find it was and each would gladly stay here again. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. Silk Road restaurant is amazing. This is the only place I will ever stay in New Orleans in the future.

We were there for a wedding and it was nice to have the entire floor of rooms for our party of wedding guests and family. The staff was attentive and Zak was the nicest guy and very informative about things to do and places to eat although the food at his restaurant was excellent according to our guests. The location was great. Just far enough from the French quarter to have some quit time but actually not too far of a walk. We love coming to NOLA and the experience was just made better by where we stayed. Thank you Zak and staff.

You won't regret it!

What a great location, about a solo cup walk into the FQ :) Zak was very flexible with our group as well as accessible all weekend. We were in town for Mardi Gras and truly didn't have a care in the world. Clean, friendly and accommodating. We will be visiting again!

Great Place To Stay in NOLA

We took the entire family to NOLA for New Years and could not have found a better place or better people to provide our accommodations, meals, and libations. Mr. Z and Chef G will take excellent care of everything. The other great advantage was the location. NOLA is busy during New Year due to New Years Eve events and Sugar Bowl events. The location of the Balcony Guest House allowed us to pick driving routes around all the crowded areas to find parking close to everything. I highly recommend the Balcony Guest House. Also we ate New Years Eve dinner at the house and it was not only convenient but absolutely delicious with many choice for our group of 13. Thanks for a wonderful time.

Clean, convenient and friendly.

Great place for 14 family members to stay at while celebrating my hubby’s 60th bday. Short Uber drive to French Quarter and short walk to Frenchman street Zak and Michelle made sure we had everything we needed.
