Beautiful little place! Has all the amenities and in an extremely peaceful location. Had a doe and her fawn walk through the yard one morning. Great great stay!

Great cabin!

Terri was a wonderful host! The cabin feels nestled in the forest while also being a quick drive to Boone. We loved being able to hear the sounds of cows from the farm in the valley below in the morning, as well as getting to chase lightning bugs and make s’mores in the evening. The cabin was clean, the beds were very comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we needed for making breakfasts and several dinners during our stay. Terri was warm, friendly, and responsive regarding questions I had. There were dog bowls waiting for our dog, which was also a lovely touch. It was clear that a lot of care and thought had been put into the cabin to ensure a comfortable stay.

Weekend Escape

My best friend and I wanted to get away for the weekend and this cabin was PERFECT! Cozy and warm, with a beautiful view, it really made us feel relaxed and comfortable away from home. The hot tub was very clean and the amenities were as described. I would definitely book this cabin again!

Quiet, cozy cabin

Fabulous in all ways!

My wife and I found Everything perfect, cozy, clean, and with plenty of room for us and our dogs. The hot tub was wonderful, and while we didn’t use the grill or fire pit, we will on a future visit. The extra drive from Boone was easy and worth it for such a beautiful and secluded spot, and comfortable house.

The perfect high country cabin

This was our first mountain vacation ever. This cabin was the perfect experience. It is literally on the side of a mountain and has breath taking views. We loved having the front and back porch to relax and the kids enjoyed the hot tub!

Mountain Dreams Do Come True

My sister and I came to the area for my son’s wedding and wanted to make a long fall weekend visit out of it. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Mountain Dream Cabin. The property was exactly as shown — clean, well-stocked. The owner was very responsive with communications. Location was close to Boone, Banner Elk, Valle Crucis, Grandfather Mountain and all other attractions. Will return.

Ski weekend

This was our second stay at this property and it was just as enjoyable as the first time we stayed a few years ago. The cabin has plenty of room for our family of 5 without feeling too cramped. The bed in the master i feel is very comfortable. The cabin has everything you need and is removed enough from town to feel secluded but close enough to be convenient. I will say the first time we visited the road leading up and the driveway were quite rough but over time the gravel has become more compact which made it much easier getting in and out than last time. We had another great stay here overall and look forward to coming back again!

Relaxing Winter Getaway

My wife and 2 kids ( 2 and 4) had a wonderful winter retreat. The cabin awarded us with that secluded, private, and rustic vibe that was met with all the conveniences one could need. The cabin had plenty of blankets and towels as well as kitchen tools and utensils which made mom happy. The views in the winter were wonderful and the hot tub was a deal maker for dad. Close to Boone, Sugar, and Beech Mountains, there was not for want of activities to do. We even were able to finish our stay with 5" of snow which the kids absolutely loved sledding in out front. This is a great place to stay for a family. Thank-you.

Nice but needs a few things

My wife and I enjoyed our stay. I would say three things would have made it better. 1) there is no view. There are a few trees that could be cut down and then the view from the hot tub would be wonderful. 2) the beds are old. Buying a couple bed in the box hybrid mattresses would have made sleep more enjoyable. 3) having a professional pest control come out and spray would have been great. Wife found ants and spiders. If those three things would have been done I'd have given a 5. If those three things get done I'd come back, no hesitation and would encourage others as well.

New Year's Weekend Get-Away

The cabin was fabulous and the owner was receptive, prompt and extremely helpful! We prayed for snow and we were blessed with more than we wanted :-) Our rental couldn't make it up the mountain because it wasn't 4wd/awd. Even the neighbors were helpful! They stopped and offered assistance and another neighbor offered for us to warm up in their home. Overall, we couldn't be happier. Thank you!
