Söker paradiset? Här är det på El Matador! Måste vara den mest eftertraktade familje semesterorten på Emerald Coast. En avskild villa belägen mellan de vackra vita sanddynerna och den glittrande Emerald Waters i Mexikanska golfen.

El Matador är verkligen en badort. Bara två miles ner Santa Rosa Blvd i slutet av ön hittar du oss - avskild men ändå bara några minuter till alla bekvämligheter som Destin och Fort Walton Beach har att erbjuda. Bara sex miles ner Hwy. 98 kan du njuta av Destin - "The Worlds Luckiest Fishing Village" - charter en privat resa eller ta barnen ut på en gruppbåt och få middag. Medan du är i Destin kan du njuta av fina restauranger, shopping och golf på några av de bästa golfbanorna i Panhandle of Florida. Svårt att tro att du kanske behöver en ledig dag från stranden men om du tar familjen till Big Kahunas Water Park i centrala Destin. Mycket mer än bara en vattenpark ... det är en rolig dag!

Tillbaka på El Matador njut av de stora gräsområdena mellan våra byggnader precis rätt för familjen kul och spel. Med sina två pooler passar hans och hennes bubbelpool och bastur precis för dina trötta muskler efter ett spel tennis på en av våra domstolar eller i vårt gym. Vi finns i slutet av Okaloosa Island en liten barriärö mellan Fort Walton Beach och Destin. Denna gated community med tretton miles av outvecklade stränder i väster är säker på att du längtar efter att återvända.

Outstanding Property

We tried a new unit out after our last one on the property was a bust. This unit was excellent and far exceeding the prior one. Easy access to the beach and parking lot. Unit was in good shape and plenty of kitchen space. Only complaint I have is the morning sun blasting you as you sip some coffee on the patio, which isn’t really that big a deal anyway. Will stay again.

Perfect Fall Break

We always bring beach towels with us, you'll need to as well. I would absolutely rent this condo again. Beach chairs were a huge plus! Just find a non labeled set and let the rental guy know your condo number when he comes by. We had a wonderful stay! Perfect for all ages.

Winter Vacation

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The original unit I reserved has bed bugs and we had to relocate to another unit that was not comparable to the original unit reserved. Have not gotten the $$$ worked out at this time so that may be another negative.

Love the El Matador

The El Matador never disappoints. We love the amenities and the updated condos. This unit had plenty of room and an amazing kitchen. The only suggestions I would make would be to put a memory foam mattress topper in the master bedroom and a better shower head in the guest bath. Otherwise it was a perfect stay!

The unit; although nice, needed some minor tending - outside doorwalls were very dirty - had to clean them so we could see out. Doorwall in living room did not have a functioning lock. Mattress in sleeper sofa most definitely needs replacement. Unit for 6 had five dinner forks. Other than these few minor complaints we had a wonderful time and plan on returning next spring.

2018 Vacation

Family Spring Break

Reviewer Comments: Sliding glass windows in the living area and bedroom would not open and became a safety hazard for fear they might fall from frame. Furniture was old and uncomfortable so I rented a recliner. Rented another unit 10 days into the month thus paying double therefore we shall not be returning. Weather was terrible but snowbirds were great.

2016 Family Vacation

Reviewer Comments: This was our second trip to El Matador and the first for Unit 413. We love the property and amenities at El Matador and we LOVED our condo! It has a great open floor plan with everything you need to feel at home. Kitchen was fully stocked so meal preparation was a breeze. Very clean and comfortable. We were planning next year's trip back to Unit 413 on our way home.

Ypu walk right out of your back door and you are on grass, steps from the pool. The unit is always clean and this year we were surprised with a new couch and lamps. We have 4 small boys and they enjoy everything about El Matador. Definitely recommend this unit!

A so so property

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed numerous times at El Matador and have always had a good experience. However, this time Unit 413 the was not as well appointed as others we have stayed in. For example, the beds were not comfortable and the sofa bed was broken. We also rented Unit 417 for my son's family which was way out of date and was not very clean upon arrival. We were told there would be a heated pool which was not true. Or, the pool was not heated to the degree it needed to be for comfort. The dryer on 1st floor was broken and it was not repaired the entire time we were there. We had to hoist washed clothes to the 2nd floor to use the dryer. Of course, the amenities of the entire property were good. We always enjoy the easy access to the beach and the security of the of the grounds. The staff was friendly and the grounds were kept clean. We return to the property a couple of times a year, and we will probably do so again. The restaurants in Ft Walton and Destin are wonderful. We particularly enjoy the Magnolia Grill, Bayou Bill's, and Bochamps. We also make a trip to Sexton Sea Food to purchase fresh catches and grill out. The property is great for that. I would recommend El Matador, but we were disappointed with the two units, and I doubt I would recommend these two units (413 and 417).
