Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Two couples stayed at this property and were very satisfied with the quality and cleaniness of the home. The pictures accurately described the property. The outdoor pool and space were immensely enjoyed. We loved that there were beach chairs and a wagon. Everything a family with children could ask for. We didn't have children with us but enjoyed our time just the same. The location was perfect. We would highly recommend staying here.

A wonderful vacation home

We enjoyed our stay at this property. It was spacious, tastefully decorated and clean. The pool was also clean and heated. The kitchen was well equipped. Our family took advantage of the baby/toddler amenities.

Place was perfect. Great location, clean, and comfortable. Pool was so much fun. Owners/managers were very quick to respond to questions. I would highly recommend.

Lovely Home, Quiet Neighborhood

Home is well appointed with plenty of dishes and glassware, mugs and flatware. All appliances are high quality and perfect for entertaining. The walk to the beach is a bit further than we expected, but easy once you realize that the gulf beach is beyond the lagoon. There are plenty of beach towels and good quality chairs, coolers, etc.

Great House with everything you need!

We had a great stay at Shanahan Shores! The house was very clean and exactly as the pictures advertised. It was full of great items if you have kids. We appreciated all the items included from crib, crib sheets, bicycles with trailer for towing kids, beach chairs (though a little dated); wagon for taking things to the beach, and the safety fence around the pool for kids. This was great as peace of mind with little kids. The temperature was perfect. We would 100% rent the house again and was in a great location and proximity to everything. The rental company was very helpful with questions and local attractions.

The house was amazing! The two granddaughters walk in and saw the teepee and play kitchen, and they were hooked. A great place for kids! The kitchen was well stocked with very nice cookware, and the toaster over/airfryer is top of the line. My son's comment was the only thing he was disappointed in was there were not size 36" pants already folded in the drawer for him. Everything else was over the top excellent! Two very small suggestions- hooks in the shower would nice so that wet suits could drip in the shower, instead of on the bathroom floor. Also some oil on a few hinges (master bedroom) so that sneaking in from using the pool does not wake the kids.What is not acceptable is the listing that says "steps from the beach." It is .6 miles from the property to the entrance of the Turtle Tail beach parking. The parking lot itself has another half mile until you get to the walkway trail leading to the sand. But the ocean is still a mile away, as the beach wraps around a lagoon and the ocean is on the other side of that. So "steps form the beach" is at best misleading, and at worst a flat out lie. The rest of Marco Island beach is pretty much controlled by the resorts. When I pointed this out to the property management, their reply was "If you check out and leave today, we will refund the unused portion of your stay." If you truly want something "steps from the beach", or a beach that is easy to access, book a Verbo in Naples.

Disappointing

The house and garage is loaded with kiddy staff. Couldn't even park in the garage. For families with kids a very good place. Extraordinary disappointment is the installation of cameras on the property without informing the guest. Real disappointing and disgusting is that one camera (on the pool deck and was hot) pointed directly into the kitch, living room as well as covering part of the sleeping room. Recording might has happened and would be totally ill-legal. I do expect an answer!

Thank you for the review, Gerhard. This property is clearly marketed as family-friendly, as shown in the photos, description, and amenities. The description also mentions that there is a security camera on the lanai facing the pool. It does not face the interior of the property as you have indicated. Our rental agreement also discloses the presence of security cameras on the property. We suggest that you read the property description and rental agreement before proceeding with any reservation. Additionally, if you were so disappointed, why did you not message our agency back when we reached out the next day after check-in to see how your stay was going? If you had, we could have covered the lanai camera. Instead, you chose to write a false and unfair review. Thank you once again for your feedback and we wish you the best.

Nice, children-friendly house

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Beautiful house, perfect for two families vacationing together. The pool is fenced and there are many pool accessories for adults and kids. There are many toys and entertainment options for children such as a beautiful play room/corner for kids well-equipped with nunerous toys, a play kitchen, desk and chairs. Perfect for small and big kids alike. Nice kitchen, although not well stocked. Basics like cooking oil, detergent, kitchen towels, coffee would have been a nice touch. Same goes for bathroom toiletries and garbage bags. I wish we did not have to go stock up on these basics (soap, shampoo, kitchen towels and garbage bags etc.) after a long day of travel... BBQ in the backyard was equipped with enough gas for o only a couple of hours of grilling, so one use really. Host staff were kind and responsive although it didn't seem like they were communicating well amongst themselves. Overall, it was a great experience, however I wish to see improvements on the aforementioned fronts if we were to return (which we would love to).

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our first trip to Marco Island with our daughter’s family. We had 3 small children, (6,4, 18 months) and this was perfect place! The fence around the pool was a BIG PLUS for our littlest to play. Having bikes & beach supplies was awesome! The weather wasn’t as warm as we wished!A better supply of trash bags and dishwasher detergent would be nice.
