The location is beautiful and was perfect for my son’s wedding at nearby Honsberger Winery. The home is spacious, the kitchen appliances are excellent, and the Niagara wine region is wonderful to explore.Unfortunately, the property did not quite live up to the “luxury villa” described in the listing. The photos appear to be older and several furnishings have been changed. The dining and island chairs shown have been replaced with plastic chairs that were uncomfortable. A foosball table in the kitchen and a pool table in one bedroom also take up considerable space and were not shown in the photos. There were several maintenance and upkeep issues. The pool was cloudy and greenish, the patio screen door needs repair, some deck boards appeared soft, and the main-floor shower needed attention. Towels were thin and worn, and there were not enough for our group of 12.The property also wasn’t as fully stocked as advertised. There were very few coffee pods, limited ground coffee and no recycling bags. The garbage and recycling bins were already overflowing when we arrived. One bedroom TV remote didn’t work, and there were no instructions for the more complicated kitchen appliances.Overall, we enjoyed the location and the space, but at the price paid, we expected a higher level of maintenance and amenities. Updating the photos and addressing these issues would make a significant difference.

Thank you, Brenda, for your feedback & for choosing our home for your son’s wedding at Honsberger Winery. We’re glad you enjoyed the beautiful location, spacious home, kitchen & Niagara wine region. We’re sorry that some aspects did not meet your expectations. We continually update the home based on guest feedback and normal wear, including replacing furniture and adding amenities such as the foosball & pool tables. We recognize that our photos should reflect these changes & are updating the listing accordingly. This was an exceptionally busy summer with back-to-back stays, which limited the time available for non-urgent maintenance between guests. We appreciate you identifying the items requiring attention & our cleaning, maintenance & pool teams have been following up on them. The pool is professionally maintained, although the unusually frequent rainfall can temporarily affect water clarity and chemistry. We are also addressing the patio door, deck, shower, towels, supplies, appliance instructions and remote you mentioned. Regarding the garbage & recycling, collection is weekly, so bins may contain waste from the current collection cycle when guests arrive. We recognize that fuller bins can nevertheless be inconvenient & are reviewing how we manage this during busy periods. We appreciate your constructive feedback & we will use it to make further improvements. Most importantly, we’re pleased the location and space worked well for such a special family occasion.

Our stay was absolutely perfect! The property was exactly as described—clean, comfortable, and spacious. From the moment we arrived, everything felt welcoming and well thought out, from the cozy furnishings to the fully stocked kitchen. We had everything we needed in the kitchen to cook and clean. The location was ideal, with easy access to nearby attractions while still being peaceful and quiet. We especially loved spending time relaxing in the space—it truly felt like a home away from home.Communication with the host was excellent throughout. They were responsive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed for a smooth stay. They even accommodated an earlier check-in, which was greatly appreciated. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would definitely stay here again. Our only wish was for a bigger hot tub, but we have already shared this feedback with the host and hope they will upgrade before our next stay!

Thank you so much for your kind and detailed review, we truly appreciate you taking the time to share your experience! We’re thrilled to hear that the home met your expectations and that you found it clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. Creating a welcoming “home away from home” experience is always our goal, so it means a lot to know you enjoyed the space, location, and overall stay. We’re also glad our communication and flexibility with your early check-in helped make your trip smoother—that’s exactly the experience we aim to provide. Thank you as well for your feedback regarding the hot tub. We value insights like this and will certainly take it into consideration as we continue to improve the property. It was a pleasure hosting you, and we would absolutely love to welcome you back anytime!

Wonderful Women's Retreat

This property played host to a wonderful women's retreat complete with in home yoga and barista, private chef, spa and shopping. It accommodated all 9 ladies well and we thoroughly enjoyed our time. Note if you are traveling with a larger group, the hot tub only seats 4 at a time.

We were pretty disappointed by the state of the property upon arrival. It gave us the impression that no one had cleaned or entered the house in months. There was a toilet by the curb and there was a stuffy smell for the duration of our stay. Windows were filthy and dishes in the cabinets weren’t clean. The walls and furniture were full of scratches and dings. Very much a “for rental only” type home. I normally don’t write negative reviews but all 8 of us left feeling that it was not worth the money we spent and regretting we picked this location. Very disappointing for my bachelorette weekend.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re genuinely sorry to hear that your stay did not meet your expectations, especially for such an important occasion. That said, we respectfully disagree with several aspects of this review, as it does not accurately reflect the condition or standards of our property. In the weeks leading up to your stay, we hosted guests on three consecutive weekends, all of whom left 5-star reviews, specifically highlighting the cleanliness, comfort, and overall presentation of the home. Our property is professionally cleaned and inspected prior to every check-in. Additionally, as part of our standard process, we reached out the morning after your arrival to ensure everything was satisfactory. We did not receive any concerns or issues at that time, and no opportunity was given to address or resolve any of the points mentioned in this review, something we always prioritize for our guests. We take cleanliness and maintenance very seriously, and while normal wear and tear can occur in a large, high-traffic home, we continuously invest in upkeep to ensure a high-quality experience. The claims made here are not consistent with our inspection records or the feedback we consistently receive from other guests. We remain committed to providing a great experience for all guests and encourage open communication during stays so any concerns can be promptly resolved.

We had a fantastic stay at this home! The bedrooms were incredibly spacious with generous closet space, and the heated floors made everything feel extra comfortable. The master bathroom was roomy, and the bathtub was a very comfortable size — perfect for unwinding. The water was consistently hot, which we really appreciated. The living room and kitchen offered plenty of space for our family to gather, cook, and relax, and the home was well‑stocked with kitchen essentials, bath supplies, and laundry items. It made the entire stay smooth and stress‑free. The location was close to great wineries, conveniently near shopping, and just minutes from the Upper Canada Cheese Company, which we loved so much we visited twice. Our stay was so comfortable that several family members mentioned they’d love to recommend this place to their own guests in the future. The owner was wonderfully responsive, and we would absolutely stay here again!
