Had my trip just involved the usual type of stay, it would still have been memorable for the stunning location, the bonus of superb weather and all the many touches that Riaan and Cathy had provided for the visitor. The accommodation is absolutely perfect for a couple, a pair of friends (the bed unzips to turn into twin beds if necessary), a couple with a baby (facilities provided) and in my case, the solo traveller. There were all the amenities one could wish for - gas cooker/hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, coffee machine, kettle, toaster, hairdryer, iron, etc., etc., and tv which I didn't have time to use much. Lots of thoughtful goodies had been provided - smellies in the bathroom and all sorts of edibles, from porridge oats to milk, yoghurt, bread and the freshest possible eggs, laid only yards away, plus more besides.A very happy coincidence revealed that we were cousins too! I don't expect all future visitors to make this bonus discovery (although who knows?!). So where I come away with the regular traveller's glow of happiness at a wonderful stay, I also retain a sense of disbelief at the coincidence. For cousins and regular visitors alike, there is much more - tranquility and proximity to some of Ireland's finest scenery, walks and attractions. Oh, and for added security, there are electric gates. All bias aside, I stand by the veracity of every word above. Come and see for yourselves...
