Kort bilresa till en dag som spelar pÄ flera strÀnder (se surfarna pÄ fyrstranden), kliv in i Old World Harbour of Charleston för att crabba, klamra, resturants eller njuta av presentbutikerna. Charta en bÄt för djuphavsfiske eller kasta en linje frÄn bryggbryggorna för att fÄnga en Ling-torsk. Beautiful house and property. We loved the wrap around porch. My 87 year old Mother was happy to see a recliner in the living room. The mattresses were on the firm side but we slept good. We would stay here again in a minute!!!

2025 visit to Charleston area

Except for a little blip on the last day, our stay was great and the owners were as helpful as could be. Would highly recommend this house and property as a quiet, comfortable place to stay if you are visiting this area of the Oregon coast.

A Hidden Gem Surrounded by Nature

This place was an absolute gem! Tucked away in a peaceful, wooded area near Coos Bay. The home was spotless, cozy, and so inviting. The beds were super comfortable, the kitchen was fully stocked, and the shower was amazing after a long day. One of my favorite features was the wraparound porch it was perfect for enjoying fresh air and the quiet surroundings. The location felt private and relaxing, and communication with the host was smooth and easy from start to finish. You can tell this home is well cared for. We would definitely stay here again! Thank you so much Janeen and Russell!!

Coos bay 2025

This place was more than what we expected!The wrap around porch was amazing! The trees and smell of them is something you just have to be there to appreciate..! We loved the privacy of the property and the easy and close access to Jamestown and coos bay! Just can’t really say enough about this property other than 5 plus stars all around!! We are actually planning another trip in two years and hope this place is available then!!

Amazing Get Away

When we pulled up we were highly impressed with the cleanliness of the property. The house is not to far from town but there are no neighbors right on top of you. There have plenty of property for our kids to play on and a gorgeous wrap around porch to enjoy the beautiful weather. They were amazing and checked in with us a few times to make sure we had everything we needed. It was an amazing experience and we were able to make some great memories as a family!

Nice stay

Great property, close enough to town while still feeling remote. Enjoyed the house, the property and the wildlife. Owners were very friendly over the phone. Check in and out was pretty easy.

Great outpost in the hills

Clean and well-appointed home on 5-acres. Close to Charleston, beaches, and the South Slough estuary, this is a great home base for all kinds of adventures. Also not to far from Bandon Dunes golf resort.

Coos Bay paradise

We do an annual crabbing trip, and this house and property is such a fantastic spot to stay. Plenty of room, very quiet location and near Charleston marina. Great communication with the owners, absolutely loved our stay.

Wonderful retreat!!

We had a wonderful time in this lovely home and peaceful setting. We spent a lot of time on the wrap around porch! The home was clean and tidy and had everything that we needed for our stay. Real Peace and Quiet

The owners are real people, not investors, who care deeply about this rural home and the people who visit. I loved the big porch, and room to breath and walk around. The bed was comfortable and Netflix worked easily.

Wooded Ocean Retreat

This is a beautiful quiet place! Close to Charleston Harbor. The home has everything you need( bring your special spices). Beds are very comfortable. Hosts were wonderful. Would definitely stay here again!

We visit Charleston/Coos Bay every year for July 4th and my significant others birthday. This house and property is a piece of Heaven. Abundant wildlife. The owners are so nice and were so easy to message and respond very quickly. We will definitely be staying here again!

Extremely quiet and comfortable

The landlord communicated very well and ensured that the property met all of our expectations. We enjoyed the solitude and animal life, including a mare which came to nibble of the front lawn. The house was immaculate and the grounds were extremely well kept. We wished the chest freezer was still available, but the washer and dryer were very new. We hope to be able to come back again.

Wonderful Family Live of the Land Experience

We have arranged a family re-union with our adult children at Coos Bay/Charleston. Besides delighted to find this lovely country home nested in a peaceful 5 acres lot that can comfortably accommodating the 5 of us, I was mostly touched by how welcoming and responsive the owner Janeen acted toward us. She was extremely quick in replying to my inquiries and went out of her way to allowing my daughter & her boyfriend to check in early due to their flight arrival schedule as well as securing extra beach chairs for us. Her kitchen is well-stocked with pots and pans and cooking utensils. But what impressed us the most is her supplies in the garage. We were able to use her crab cage, shovel, rake, and buckets to do clamming and crabbing near Charleston and cooked up the fruit of our labor for dinner at night. We had a great time and will definitely come back to visit in the future.

Beautiful property!

Nice home on a large property. Lots of trees but enough sun to make the house bright and cheery. Home is updated and had everything we needed. Location is beautiful but it is a bit of a trek to Coos Bay. Shops & restaurants in nearby Charleston are great but for most everything you need to go to the ‘big cities’ of Coos Bay or North Bend. Even so, we recommend this property 100%!! Owners are easy to contact and very responsive. Would stay here again.

We were drawn to the Coos Bay area because of the beauty of the varying landscape from the wooded hillsides to the beautiful tree lined dunes and beaches and for the vast amount of outdoor activities available that put you in the middle of all that beauty. Our family enjoys the beaches, quad riding, horseback riding, fishing and hunting, boating, and relaxed atmosphere that the Coos Bay area offers. We purchased this home as a primary residence so that our family could live in the area that they loved to play in.

Varför vÀrden valde detta boende

As a result of a career change for us - We thought that people would enjoy this peaceful location as much as we do and decided to turn it into a vacation rental. By doing this we would also be able to return and enjoy our house for family vacations.
