Comfortable, reasonable vacation apartment for a couple and baby

We found this apartment quite adequate for our purpose. It has all the features one requires for a week or two. It is also located very close to a small beach and within walking distance of two hotel restaurant and a few minutes drive to an amazing beach hangout. It was very nice to sip a drink on a seat on balcony, watching the amazing Caribbean sunset every evening Some minor Issues were handled very promptly by the owner, who is from Canada but has family on the Island. Moving in and out procedures were very well coordinated by Ms. Joel, Parris, who represents the owner on these matter. Overall, a satisfactory stay.

Gillade: Renlighet, incheckning och kommunikation

Property manager was waiting for us so the Check-in process was excellent . She reviewed all the necessities with respect to the property. A very nice and well stocked VRBO. A few communication issues with the owner with respect to the AC and getting fresh towels and linens. All was remedied. A car is definitely recommended as the property location is quite far south. The bus does run by the property however not sure of schedule. Barking dogs across the steet can be an issue.

Gillade: Bekvämligheter, boendets skick och faciliteter och kommunikation

Good view from Balcony it’s a Kitesurfing area and beach is across the road and sea has a strong current no good for children to swim, at the moment there is brown seaweed on most beaches but didn’t stop the kiters. Hardly any shade on the beach but a small park and picnic tables there. The apartment on the top floor had good furniture and beds. You are cut off can use Taxis, buses or hire a car as parking at the side. My husband is a kite surfer so we would go back again you have to be tolerant of barking dogs anytime of the day and the owner and staff are very helpful we will go back soon .

If you are a kiter and really don't want to rent a car... this place will work perfectly for you. 100 steps to the beach. Secure building. Nice owner. Rent here.

Well equipped apartment, very clean, lovely sheets and pillows good taste Cornelia. Noisy local with radio opposite, barking dogs and cockerel some of the time but you are in a village by the sea, need to use bus or car. Overall Property Manager amazing and helpful and hope to return next year thank you Joel.

Lovely apartment in SilverSands, Christ Church

I stayed at Seawinds Apt # 11 for 2 weeks and it was absolutely lovely! The apartment was clean, comfortable and safe. I loved the fact that there was a cell phone available to make local calls. I would definitely recommend Seawinds apartment for your next stay in Barbados.

Great place

Perfect little place on the top floor with a view on the beach and the Kitesurfers. Nice cool bedroom with AC, great internet connection and generally a nice homely apartment with nice neighbours (return visitors). Well equipped with all you need for cocktail making or cooking in if you want to save money eating out.

Christmas in Barbados

Staying at the Seawinds Condominiums over Christmas was a great family experience. We were met by a very friendly property manager who showed us where everything inside the condo was located as well as giving us a quick tour of the vicinity and some friendly advice. The bedroom was nicely air conditioned and the living room had adequate fans and a great cross breeze. There condo was very well equipped. The condo is located across the street from internationally acclaimed kite surfing school. The closest beaches are great for water sports, while a short bus ride away, the beaches are excellent for family swimming. Our stay was two weeks and during this time we explored the island extensively by using the local bus system. Some of our favourite activities were going to Oistin's Fish Market on Friday nights and touring the rugged east and north coasts. The locals are very friendly and welcoming and we would not hesitate to recommend Seawinds to others.

Great apartment to experience Barbados!

The apartment was quiet, clean, and well located to explore the beautiful beaches and coastline of Barbados. I stayed on my own but the apartment could easily suit a couple or small family comfortably. The apartment is well equipped with comfortable beds, basic kitchen equipment, TV & DVD player, and a safe. I was also able to arrange for a local SIM card for my phone with a 1GB data package. Coverage was great all over the island. Within a 2-3 minute walk is a gorgeous white sand beach with 2 or 3 surf shops nearby where you can rent kites, paddle boards, surfboards, and snorkel gear (as well as arrange lessons). The locals are friendly and helpful and enjoy talking to travelers :) If you don't rent a car, it's no problem to get around. The local transportation is frequent on the main road, just a few minutes walk to the north. 'Route taxis' stop often and the drivers will help you find your way wherever you want to go. All the beaches along the south coast (Miami, Dover, Sandy Beach, Maxwell, Welches, Accra....) are easily found within a 10-20 minute ride. The atmosphere of the neighborhood is friendly and you have the feeling of experiencing real local life. I loved having my breakfast on the sunny roof terrace. This is a great place to stay, especially if you are independent and enjoy living like a local. Highly recommended.

Beautiful flat and very clean!

This apartment is perfectly located in a residential area but close enough to all the main attractions. It is a wonderfully kept little place and beautifully furnished to a high standard. It was perfect for me as a solo traveller, however it would also be suitable for a small family. The only negative was the sometimes noisy neighbours (which you can't do anything about!) and that the curtains in the bedroom were very thin meaning they didn't block out any light. Would thoroughly recommend this property!

After numerous visits over the years, and having fallen in love with the beauty of Barbados and its charming people, I decided to make it 'semi-permanent'. I am an independent minded globe trotter, who prefers self-catering travel, as opposed to 5-star all-inclusives, and doing my own thing versus organized group travel.
