Tucked away i skogen, men bekvämt beläget en kort 15 minuters bilresa från Bethel byn, 25 minuter från Sunday River och 12 minuter från Mount Abram, är detta välutrustade stuga i chaletstil det perfekta stället att koppla av efter en lång dag på sluttningar eller i kullarna. Under sommaren 2015 lade vi till ett nytt Hot Springs Sovereign spa på ett nytt avskilt däck. Njut av fördelarna med hydroterapi samtidigt som du tar in spektakulära bergsolnedgångsutsikt, ser upp på stjärnkvällar eller njuter av din morgonkaffe.

På vintern, mysigt upp bredvid elden på det öppna våningen medan barnen tittar på en film nere.

På sommaren kan du njuta av den vackra utsikten över bergen medan du sitter på omslagstäckan, stjärnskärmen och de långa kvällarna spelar kort i skärmen i veranda.

Ski vacation

Nate and Dave’s house is the perfect ski retreat. Close by to many ski adventures whether at Sunday River or Carters for cross country…endless possibilities await. Their home is fully stocked, cozy, and comfortable. It was a wonderful February vacation.

Wonderful ski chalet

This was our 4th time staying at Dave and Nate’s place. They’re excellent hosts. Each group of friends and family we’ve gone with has been wowed by the balance of charm/comfort/amenities (working wifi, surround sound music system, gas fireplace, large hot tub, etc.)

This cabin has it all!

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our 2nd extended stay and are hoping to book again next year. The cabin, which is on a private lot, is well located and appointed with great amenities including a gas fireplace, hot tub, and outdoor fire pit. There are so many hikes within driving distance as well as other outdoor activities. The hosts are great and very responsive. We highly recommend staying here if looking in the Bethel area!

Better than pictures!

We had the joy of enjoying for several weeks- only bad part was leaving and coming home. The lodge pictures do not capture the comfort and beauty of the house. Fantastic hosts, comfy beds, hot tub, hummingbirds acrobatics, well stocked everything, and room to breath. We could not recommend more. ALSO: Be sure to look up in the night outside to see the best “light” show painted in the sky.

Wonderful ski vacation

We had a fabulous week here - one of the most well-appointed VRBOs we’ve rented. Great layout for our family and very comfortable beds. Perfect base for skiing at Sunday River and Mt Abram. Very responsive hosts and easy check-in/check-out process. We hope to return!

Perfect ski chalet

Charming, clean, and highly functional house with privacy and good location about 20 minutes from sunday river. The outdoor hot tub was amazing. Plenty of space for 8 people. For people looking to work from home, there is a full work station downstairs with a docking station and a monitor. We also enjoyed the outdoor fire pit. The host is very responsive and generous. Highly recommend!

Great Winter Getaway

The house was just as described, and for us, perfect. It was warm, comfortable and cozy but also open and airy. The kitchen was stocked and the gratis bottle of wine was a very nice touch. Everything was seamless and we would definitely recommend this house for any group of 2 - 8. Thank you David and Nathan!

This cabin has it all!

My wife and I just wrapped up a two week stay and we wish we could have stayed longer. The cabin is beautiful, homey and has all the right amenities including a gas fireplace, hot tub, grill, outdoor firepit, etc. I would definitely stay here again!

Amazing property with hosts that are second to none!

Nate and David are gracious hosts and keep the property in impeccable condition. They thought of everything you might on your trip and it's there in the house waiting for you. My biggest surprise was the Tesla charger so when I rolled up in my Model 3, I didn't have to worry about charging the entire time I was there. We enjoyed a nightly dip in the hot tub and few fires in the outdoor fire pit with some of the wood that was chopped and ready to go for us. You can't go wrong stay here!

Very relaxing stay in a beautiful setting

Our family had a wonderful vacation at the Jackalope Lodge. The house is lovely and has just about every convenience you could want. The setting is beautiful and so peaceful. Unfortunately we picked an unusually hot week to visit which meant we spent a little less time than we had planned enjoying the outdoors. I’m not a fan of the heat. The main floor of the house got a bit hot but the lower level of the house where the tv is stayed completely comfortable and the bedroom air conditioners were wonderful. It was too hot for the hot tub but we enjoyed the screened porch in the morning and evening. We especially enjoyed all the hummingbirds that visited the feeders on the deck and listening to the other birds in the trees. We have AT&T and there was no cell reception at the house but the WiFi was excellent. We had everything we needed and the hosts were extremely responsive and so nice. My son is already asking if we can go back in the winter to enjoy the skiing in the area!

Relaxing Weekend Away

My partner and I are incredibly busy with our businesses, kids, pets and life so we wanted a weekend away to unwind, write and just relax. This was the perfect place to do that. The house was beautiful and the area was so peaceful. Everything went smooth and easy. We never even left via car the entire time we were there. We took small hikes, sat in the hot tub at night and spent time together. Perfect getaway. Thank you Nathan and Dave for the weekend we needed.

Great escape!

The house was great! Super clean, comfortable beds and a well stocked kitchen, which has not only cookware but spices, sugar, etc. I even found nutmeg:) The check in process was flawless, and we felt very welcome, right down to the bottle of wine left for our arrival. Close to great hiking, cross country skiing, and, of course, Sunday River. It was nice having the tv room downstairs, but the living room open to the kitchen. Very cozy, but allowed for some separation. Probably one of the most welcoming VRBOs we’ve stayed in.

Absolutely everything we needed

I can’t express enough how much we enjoyed our stay. The place was so cute and nicely decorated, super clean, and has everything we could ever want. We all thought the beds were super comfortable and the hot tub was a perfect touch for our mountain getaway. Thank you so so much for hosting one of my favorite properties i’ve rented! Girl’s Weekend to Remember!

What a beautiful property! We do an annual girls trip each year and with Covid, we wanted somewhere private and Jackalope Lodge was perfect! We explored the woods, and star gazed in the hot tub every night! Nathan and Dave are amazing hosts! We will definitely will be back!!

A forest side escape with all the comforts of home.

This an exceptional rental from beginning to end. As three mid-twenty year olds working remote for five weeks this seemed like a risky booking, but wow did it pay off! Communication with the hosts was clear right from the start, and the contactless checkin was seamless. The decor makes for a warm seasonal touch. Within hours we were able to settle in, making the place feel like home. All three of us were working remote with constant video calls and downloads and the internet was fantastic. We regularly cooked large meals and the kitchen was full of basic cooking utensils and great appliances. After dinner we enjoyed lounging in the living room with the electric fireplace. We also took full advantage of the hot tub, especially under the night sky and there’s plenty of fire logs for an outdoor fire in the fire pit. Indoors, the finished basement with an Apple TV was a great place to unwind. We also enjoyed the surrounding area, even during covid. Socially distanced wine tastings, some fun takeout options, beautiful hikes/bike/running routes. And the leaf peeping was incredible!! None of us had ever spent this much time in Maine and we were all truly blown away. We fully recommend this property for anyone looking for all comforts of home while also embracing the wonderful outdoors of Maine.

Absolutely wonderful!

Nate and Dave did not forget one detail! The cabin is spotless and beautiful! My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed watching the humming birds buzzing around on the deck, relaxing in the beautiful hot tub and having our morning tea at the fire pit! Everything was just perfect! Nate was so helpful with places to go and things to do! We will definitely be back! Thank you for everything Nathan and Dave!!!!
