✨ Stay in the Heart of Salem, Steps from the Common ✨

Welcome to Lally’s House, your stylish home base in the heart of Salem. Located just steps from Salem Common and within walking distance of the city’s most iconic attractions, this one of a kind stay is perfect for families, friend groups, and anyone looking to experience the magic of “Witch City” without needing a car.

The Experience
Step into a beautifully restored 1870 home where historic charm meets modern comfort. Your private second floor apartment is thoughtfully designed with a fun, immersive Salem vibe that is perfect for creating unforgettable memories.

The space features three uniquely themed bedrooms. The astrology room offers celestial inspired bunk style sleeping. The music room is eclectic and cozy. The Tim Burton inspired room is whimsical and moody.

The apartment comfortably sleeps up to seven guests with seven individual beds, making it ideal for group travel.

Instagram Worthy Living Space
Unwind in a vibrant, witchy living room complete with a neon “Witch Please” sign that is perfect for photos. Enjoy tarot cards, classic thrillers, and board games, along with a 50 inch streaming television. A mini bar setup with cocktail tools and vintage glassware makes it easy to relax and enjoy your stay.

Modern Comforts
The apartment includes a fully renovated kitchen with seating for seven, in unit laundry, and a full bathroom with a tub that is perfect for a relaxing soak. There is also one complimentary off street parking space that is best suited for a compact vehicle.

Unbeatable Location
Leave your car parked and explore everything Salem has to offer on foot. You are just a five minute walk from the Salem Witch Museum and a short stroll to shops, restaurants, and nightlife. The nearby MBTA Commuter Rail provides an easy thirty minute ride into Boston. You are also close to beaches, ferry access, and the historic waterfront.

The home is ideally located for Salem’s famous annual events, including Haunted Happenings.

Good to Know
The apartment is located on the second floor and requires the use of stairs. It is situated in a quiet residential neighborhood that is ideal for relaxing after a day out. The hosts live on the first floor, so quiet hours and respectful noise levels are required. The space is best suited for adults or older children and is not ideal for high energy play. The parking space is tight, and compact vehicles are recommended.

Why Guests Love It
Guests love the walkable location, the unique themed design, and the comfort of a space that is perfect for group getaways and special occasions. It offers a true Salem experience, especially during the Halloween season.

Book your stay at Lally’s House and experience the charm, history, and magic of Salem like a local. Dates fill quickly, especially in October, so secure your stay today. Check-in window is from 4:00PM-9:00PM (all guests must check in during this window) unfortunately, we cannot make exceptions to this as Lally’s is located in a dense residential historic neighborhood.

My sister and I stayed in this cute well decorated 3 bedroom for our first time in Salem and it did not disappoint! My family and I use VRBO frequently for vacation and this is one of our favorites! Easy check in, close to restaurants, easy walkability everywhere in Salem, (we did not rent a car)and it was meticulously clean. The owners even left some dish soap, washing detergent, and a welcome bag which I thought was a nice thoughtful touch. If we come back to Salem, I’d definitely stay here again.

This was a great place for our 21st birthday trip! We were close to downtown and were able to walk to everything we wanted to see and do. The apartment was fully furnished with everything we needed to cook meals. There were plenty of games to play and books to read. It really felt like home for the days we were there!

We only stayed here one night, but really enjoyed this property. It was extremely clean and was well stocked, they also provided a really nice welcome package which we appreciated. We also left some stuff in the unit and the host graciously had it delivered to us. We definitely plan to stay here the next time we are in Salem, we highly recommend this property.

Great girl's weekend in Salem!

Super nice place! The decor is very fun, we liked all the different room themes. The bathroom is really nice too, two sinks which was helpful when 7 ladies had to all get ready for dinner! The house is in a great location - the key for us was that it was walkable to everywhere we wanted to go. Smooth check-in and check-out as well. Overall a wonderful time!

Lally’s House

We always wanted to see Salem, but didn’t want to deal with the crowds in October and this was a perfect getaway. The Vrbo was very well equipped and we wanted for nothing. We enjoyed reading the story behind the house and would definitely recommend this Vrbo thanks Michael for being an amazing host!

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We always recommend that guests filter their search according to personal preferences and specific needs to ensure a more tailored and satisfactory experience. Regarding your comment that the kitchen was “not stocked,” we are uncertain as to what this may be referring to. The kitchen is fully equipped with cookware, dinnerware, coffee mugs, glasses, wine glasses, basic spices, coffee creamer, sugar, and other essentials to support a comfortable stay. Should there have been something specific you found lacking, we would have appreciated the opportunity to address it during your visit. Guest satisfaction is very important to us, and we are always happy to assist where possible.

I enjoy being a Vrbo host because it gives me the chance to create a welcoming, comfortable space where guests can relax and feel at home. I love sharing my local area, offering thoughtful touches, and knowing that I’m helping people make meaningful memories during their travels. Hosting is rewarding because every stay is an opportunity to connect, provide great experiences, and continually improve what I offer.

Varför värden valde detta boende

It’s a historic neighborhood in Salem that has tons of charm and gorgeous architecture! The home itself was built in 1870! The home is steps from Salem’s gorgeous common and Colin’s cove (which is a little neighborhood harbor beach).

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

Lally was my fabulous grandmother. She left her earthly form in 2023, around the time we purchased this home. She loved to have a good time with her family & friends, especially over a cocktail & some Keno. Her favorite phrases- “Isn’t this the best day ever? Everything will come together like a good dance step. It’s 5 o’clock somewhere.” You can tell she was a real hoot! We hope you take a page out of Lally’s book, & create the “Best day ever!”
