Very nice weekend get away in the Catskills

Despite being in quarantine we managed to secure this house in the Catskills which turned out to be a great weekend get away hiking in the mountains. The owner was staying near by and was a great host! We had a great time!

An amazing spot and getaway for the weekend!

This house was a GREAT spot for my friends and I. Lucian was extremely accommodating and helpful in all our questions about the property. It was also a great location, nearby to many towns and activities. Highly recommend!

Conway Family

We traveled to Windham for a skiing trip. This property made the trip an incredible success! The 4 children loved the game room and our family of 6 found the home incredibly comfortable and spacious. Its proximity to the mountain and town were perfect and the grounds were rated a 10/10 by our dog. I am looking forward to our next stay here! Thanks so much : )

Hiking and leaf peeping

A group of friends, including 2 babies, stayed here for a weekend of hiking and leaf peeping. The house was a great home base, super clean and comfortable. We loved the location fire pit, hot tub, and games. We'd absolutely stay here again.

Family time

Must say this had to be the loviest, coziest and cleanest house I’ve been to. Loved how there was so much to do, but still having the vacation feel. I will be back next year! Thank you for allowing my family to get together for the first time in 25 years.

Great Fall Escape

Had a wonderful time. Loved the location. The game room was a bonus and kept the kids busy. The owners were quick to respond when we thought there was an issue with the hot tub. The fenced in backyard was a bonus as our dog loved his early morning run. Would definitely stay here again as it was cozy having the fireplace and outdoor fire pit for making smores.

Perfect Stay

We had a wonderful time at this house for the Thanksgiving holiday. The house is spacious but cozy too. We had plenty of room for everyone. The game room downstairs is a great entertainer. The kitchen is beautiful and the dining room table was perfect for our Thanksgiving dinner. This was a great place to stay.

Great stay!

The stay at the house was delightful! A ton of games and sports to play and was fully equipped! The thing I would say is that one of the beds in the bedroom was very very squeaky, so If you move a lot at night, I wouldn’t suggest you stay in this room. However overall the house was perfect for what we needed!

Best VRBO ever

Hands down, the cleanest home I have stayed at (we travel a ton). I need the name of the cleaner, as ever rental should be this sparkling! Everything described is even better in person. We appreciated not having to drag sheets/towels with us besides some for the hot tub. The dogs enjoyed the fenced back yard & there was plenty of firewood already cut to enjoy our evening outside. You can even cook over the fire if you want to as there is a mobile grill set up! The owner, Lou was there upon our arrival and welcomed us with open arms. He was great to speak to, offered his garden goodies to us, and even gifted us a bottle of Prosecco for our anniversary. He was very nice & really cared that we were sure to enjoy our stay. We cooked every night in the kitchen with no lack of supplies or room to move. The house is actually very spacious, I expected from the photos it would not be. The master bedroom is a delight, with smaller rooms for everyone else & 4 bunks downstairs. The only complaint had was from a ten year old that the WiFi didn’t work well in the kids room. However, he will live as he didn’t need to be on it anyway😊 Overall we had a wonderful long weekend with family & friends. We didn’t have to worry about a thing. There is so much to do in this area, and to come back to this stellar home was the icing on the cake. Don’t look this one over, if you like clean, comfortable, centrally located, and quiet this home is it. Thank you Lou for sharing your home.

Refreshing and Comfortable Stay

We stayed at the property for a week in mid to late August. Our group consisted of 4 adults and 4 children (3-6 yrs). The property is not only beautiful and open but also set back from the road so feels safe - perfect for running around with kids and playing sports. The outdoor tub was a huge hit with the children, who enjoyed playing in it as a pool. In the back there is a garden filled with all kinds of vegetables and fruits that we were permitted to pick, literally farm-to-table! Inside, the house was very clean and well appointed, simple but we had all the kitchen tools and comforts we needed. The property gives a sense of calmness and peacefulness and we thoroughly enjoyed staying there. The communication with the owners was swift and responsive, and if we ever needed anything else, they were able to provide right away. Nearby there are a few outdoor restaurants that were open, that we enjoyed visiting during our stay. All in all, a wonderful stay and we would highly recommend!

Great getaway house

My husband and I loved our stay here and we especially enjoyed all of the wonderful outdoor amenities including the firepit in front for cooking and late night stargazing and the huge fenced in backyard for our dog. Everything was clean and easy for us to use. There were also lots of fun games and activities in the house, including a basement game room. Lucian was a wonderful host.

Beautiful and Convenient

The home was better than expected in person and incredibly clean. We were all very comfortable and overall very happy. My only critique would be to include more paper towels since we ran out pretty quickly with 8 of us. Apart from this, very happy with our stay and looking forward to renting again.

Great Catskills Getaway

We spent a long weekend in Windham at this lovely property. The house is well maintained with a comfortable, modern look. We enjoyed using the grill and sitting out on the large deck each night of our trip. The owners have a great garden in the backyard and we were able to pick fresh lettuce for our salads. The house is located in Windham and very convenient to the downtown area, Ski Windham and to the Windham Path, a lovely walking trail that can be used for walking, running or biking. Our family highly recommends the Matej's property!

Don’t look any further- perfect getaway house is right here!

We had the best time at the Matej’s property. We couldn’t ask for a better host! Lucian and his wife went above and beyond to make sure all was taken care of, especially with our very specific WiFi connection requests since we had to still work from home during our stay. The pictures do not do this house justice. Beds are extremely comfortable, the kitchen is incredible and fully stocked and that game room downstairs is no joke! The property is absolutely stunning, very well kept and just offers such a relaxing atmosphere! This house sits on 20 acres and even offers a little hiking trail! The views of Windham mountain right out the front door is just the icing on the cake. We will absolutely be back and again, couldn’t have asked for a better host! Lucian is the man!

Lovely home with plenty of activities both in the home and nearby

My group of friends and I had an amazing stay at Lillian’s home. The photos are exactly as described and there was plenty of space for 9 adults and 2 dogs. The kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms were clean and cosy. Plenty of things to do in the basement (ping pong, darts, foosball). Skiing was nearby in Windham or drive 15 minutes to Hunter. Such a great home; we’ll definitely return in the future!

A weekend at wondham

We found the house spotless and well stocked with sheets and towels. We felt very comfortable at this house. We Everything looked new. We were 5 minutes from the mountain. There were many restaurants close by as well as a food market and drug stores. We will definitely be back.

New Year’s Eve Getaway

This property is amazing. All accommodations one might need for a winter getaway are available. Beautiful spacious modern home. Great for families or large groups. Lovely owners, that are available if any need arises. Perfect location for skiing and more. We will definitely rent again;)

Great time had by all!

We were lucky enough to get to stay at this property for Thanksgiving weekend. We had such a great time! The group included 2 married couples, 3 kids, 2 20 year olds, and 2 dogs. Before arrival communication with the owners was great with messages being returned very quickly. The home itself is updated and comfy. The kitchen was well stocked and we even cooked a full Thanksgiving dinner! The game room was great and the kids loved playing ping pong and foosball. We ended the weekend with a tournament! There were tons of movies to watch and we even arrived to some snow on the ground and there were sleds available and a nice hill at the end of the driveway. The location was great, we were really close to the ski resort. We drove to Woodstock and hiked to a waterfall one day. We had dinner at Chicken Run which was fun and yummy. Our dogs loved the yard and had plenty of room to run around. They were intrigued by the group of wild turkeys that wandered through the day after Thanksgiving (maybe they escaped from somewhere!) My husband and I took the Master bedroom and the bed was SO COMFY! Everyone else said their beds were comfortable as well. Everything was spotless and well stocked with paper products, towels, etc. I would highly recommend this property and hope to go back again!

Perfect for our ski trip!

This house was perfect for our ski trip to Windham. It is located within about 5 minutes to the mountain, the house was clean, and our kids loved the game room and hot tub after a day of skiing!

Spacious, beautiful, and clean!

Spent the weekend here with 10 other people and it was wonderful. There was more than enough room for everyone to be comfortable and everything was super clean and new. The hot tub was awesome and fit about 6 people comfortably. The deck and fire pit also made spending time outside very pleasant. This house is ideal for large groups and was a perfect weekend getaway from the city. Will be booking again in the future.
