Set on the shoreline of beautiful Lake St. George, this chalet rests in a quiet, private setting that simply brings happiness and a sense of calm. Enjoy one of Maine's clearest lakes from the comfort of this amazing home! Or, walk across the grassy lawn to the lake to start your day w/coffee on the dock while watching the sunrise. Go for a swim or a paddle. Take the provided canoe for a tour of the lake, a fishing outing or a sunset cruise. Keep your eyes peeled for bald eagles and loons! At night enjoy gazing at the stars. The main level of the house is an open concept with a massive stone chimney that soars to the top of the living room’s vaulted ceiling. The “wall of glass” that faces the lake allows for amazing light while the two ceiling fans keep the air moving. This level has the fully equipped kitchen, living room with large smart TV, dining area, craft/game table area, the bedroom with queen bed, one full bathroom and laundry machines. The wrap-around deck has chairs, table and a gas grill. The upper level is a loft that has the master bedroom with king bed, smart TV and the other full bathroom. The lower level has the room with bunk beds, love seat and four tall windows that provide for a great view of the lake. Heat/cooling pumps on main floor and lower level keep the house comfortable in cold and hot weather. The home is modernized with free WiFi, two new 4K smart TV’s and roku devices to enable you to login to your streaming subscriptions. For your safety and security, we have an electronic keypad for entry. If you desire to explore more of Maine, we are a relatively short drive to some GREAT coastal towns: 16 miles to Belfast, 20 miles to Camden/Rockport, 73 to Acadia National Park & 79 miles to Portland. PLEASE NOTE: there are roughly 20 gradual steps to get from the parking area down to the house. From the house to the lake there are just a few steps down the deck stairs and then a very gradual walk across the lawn to the lake.

The house and property is picturesque and well maintained. The host was responsive to our needs. St George lake is super clean and peaceful. This is the perfect place to find your zen with family and friends. We will be back.

Perfect Family Getaway

We absolutely loved Linda's property on Lake St. George. The location was perfect - quiet, right on the lake, and family friendly. Linda was very responsive and accommodating. The house was very clean and well equipped - we cooked every night and used the canoe every day. Hope to return for another family vacation.

Beautiful lake house

Great house on gorgeous Lake St. George

I stayed here with my teen sons and my mom. We had a great time. My sons loved exploring the quiet lake on paddleboards. The house was cute. The Ulrichs were very responsive and friendly. It was a great stay overall.

Great Get-a-way Lakehouse!!

This house was LOVELY! All of those glass windows facing the lake - a peaceful, beautiful feature of this house! It was clean, very well equipped, and the dock was ideal for us to use/dock our boat! We enjoyed wakeboarding and waterskiing ALL DAY LONG on this gorgeous clean lake! The loons were such an added treat! Would HIGHLY recommend this place!

Family and Fishing

This property was as good or better than I expected. I stayed with my adult children for a week and we had such a wonderful time. Plenty of room to hang out regardelss of the weather - rain or shine. We loved it!

Best Maine Lake

We loved waking up every day for a morning swim in the crystal clear water of Lake St. George. Then more fun on the lake paddling our kayaks and paddle boards. Hearing the loons in the morning and evening was a plus as well. The chalet is well appointed. Love the deck looking out onto the lake. A suggestion would be to have a table and chairs on the deck to enjoy meals outside.

Beautiful

Beautiful location. The stairs from the parking to the house may be troublesome for some if you have any limitations. The house was plenty big enough to spread out. We came with plans of ice fishing but did not have much luck. Beautiful location for a family get away, thank you for sharing your home.

First Fall Vacation

This was the first Fall trip for my husband and me. The chalet was as lovely as the photos indicated and the views of the lake were amazing. Access to the lake is great, the available canoe and life jackets would have been great if we didn't have our kayaks with us. I have to note the king bed upstairs was by far the most comfortable mattress I've ever slept on in a rental The location is peaceful and private. I would caution folks who have mobility issues or can't carry things far as there are steps from the driveway to the chalet and steps to the lake and inside Enjoyed our stay and would love to return with family

Lake life

My family and I had a great time at the VRBO on Lake St George. The master bedroom was spacious and bed and pillows were fantastic. The lake views were a delight, especially in the morning when the sun shone on the dock. We enjoyed taking the canoe out for a spin. The brewery down the road offered plenty of entertainment, live music outside amongst the trees, trivia nights and more. Dave was easy to communicate with. Having a few games would be a nice touch. Enjoy!

Quiet and beautiful lake house

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at this house. The lake and surrounding area are beautiful! The house was clean, bright and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked and very functional. We spent a lot of time on the dock and in the canoe. Swimming was great and the water is very clear. I caught several nice bass (Largemouth and Smallmouth) from the dock. The surrounding area was excellent for cycling (gravel bike is ideal). When we weren't cooking at the house, we went out to dinner in the towns of Camden, Belfast and Rockland where we enjoyed some outstanding meals. I highly recommend this property.

Lake Life at the Chalet

Linda and John were spectacular! And the camp was well stocked with the essentials. The property was very private despite the close neighbors. This was the perfect lake get-away!! The waterfront faces east, so perfect for early morning coffee on the dock, listening to the loons and watching lake life come awake. The basement is perfect for overflow and younger visitors, the loft bedroom is handsome with built-in closets and spectacular views of the lake. Anything we needed, we just messaged or called. All requests were immediately responded to. The camp is full of natural light and the light fixtures nicely light up the darkness, at night. The local quintessential Maine sights of Belfast, Rockland and Camden are close enough to visit in a day trip. Lake St. George is like swimming in liquid silk, so clean and well stocked with fish. We can't wait to come back!!

Mainely foggy

The house was beautiful and just as described. The owner was very responsive and great with questions. There were a few miscellaneous things that need updated. The bedroom off the kitchen was stuffy and needs an air-conditioning unit since there isn’t proper air flow. The appliances in the kitchen need updated! Sometimes it’s better to put the money into new appliances before they breakdown and cause property damage. The water heater needs an upgrade too because four of us stayed and couldn’t shower at the same time (in separate showers) without running out of hot water, so we had to stagger our showers apart which although isn’t bad-just annoying especially since it’s able to sleep more than 4 people. The view was spectacular, but unfortunately it was extremely foggy and rainy every day so we couldn’t utilize the lake and everything that goes with it, but obviously this wasn’t the owners fault-only Mother Nature. It would have also been nice to have had some welcome brochures of the local area or a binder giving some helpful information to tourists such as where was the best place to eat, hike, shop or sight see in the area. I know that Google is a thing, but sometimes locals have the best advice!!

Catching up and making memories

2 of my college friends and all 3 of our husbands got together for a little reunion. This place was perfect. 3 sleeping spaces each on a different floor. The 2 baths worked well. Everyone was comfortable.

Great getaway

Three of us had a great time in early November, the weather was unseasonably warm. The house is in a very good location right on the lake and very clean inside. The house is pretty well equipt for cooking as well. Definitely hope to be back next year and i'm sure it would be real nice in the summer when swimming in ther lake would be an option.

Quaint, quiet place

This place was great for stargazing at night and getting away from the hustle and bustle of the bigger cities. Wish there were more restaurants in the immediate area but definitely would stay again!

Fall in Maine

This was a wonderful trip, my husband is from Maine and we have traveled back and forth for years. My brother and sister in Law have always wanted to come so it finally came to past, was a most wonderful time. Lake St George was perfect. We toured all day and came back to camp at night. Loved it so much now we want to return in summer and do just lake life. This camp is as nice as they can get. Perfect for anyone. The view is spectacular If you are looking this is the place for you.

Absolutely wonderful spot to stay.

This house is simply amazing. We had a very nice week in New England, and the main reason the vacation was so good was coming back to this house every evening. If this property is available for your journey, I highly encourage renting it.

The house has a full wall of windows looking at the water...even in bad weather you have full view of the lake from the inside. The waterfront is accessible and you can swim right from the dock. The backyard is level and great for backyard games. The deck gives you a great view of the lake and is a great place to enjoy your meals, coffee, reading, or just relaxing. The house has had many updates, including heat pumps that provide air conditioning and heat, backup generator, great WIFI, new appliances.
