The property manager was more than helpful.
The vacation rental was clean.
I was happy with the location.
I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental.
Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental.

Knowing the devastation and recovery from Hurricane Ian, our expectations were lowered when booking vacation. However, during our stay we quickly came to the realization that the property has opened prematurely and did not provide a satisfactory experience. The property is an active construction zone, as the majority of the island is also. The noise is not only comes from the Sanibel Mooring property, but from the adjacent properties. We were told that construction was limited to 9 am- 5 pm, but we experienced noise as early as 7:30 am. There is also a bug problem on the property. The condo we stayed in has a termite problem. The termites and their droppings are visible on the kitchen counter. This was confirmed by the Orkin service person sent to the unit to spray for palmetto bug issue. During our stay there were days of heavy rain and leak started. We had to move units as a result. The rains also created an undesirable problem on the only access way opened to the beach. Since there is no longer an elevated boardwalk the rains flooded the area and for days we had to walk through ankle deep dirty water. Not a good experience! We are long time visitors to Sanibel Moorings and want nothing more than to see it’s comeback, but our experience this stay was not very satisfactory. It’s obvious that they opened the property prematurely and are falling short on providing an overall positive experience.
