Vi är en prisvärd familjefastighet som ligger mittemot sandstranden vid Loon Lake. Våra boende består av rökfria stugor med självhushåll, sviter och Loon House (vårt stora huvudhus). Vi är en familjesort som ligger 50 meter från en sandstrand, vattenfall och offentlig båtlansering. Vi gränsar också till Warren County Snowmobile Trail System. Bekvämligheter på platsen är: en roddbåt, kanot, volleyboll, hästskor och en lekplats för barn. Alla enheter har eget picknickbord och grill. Byn Chestertown ligger två miles från fastigheten. Staden har många unika butiker, en glassbar, stor mataffär, apotek och för många att nämna. Inom en radie på tio mil kan du uppleva många typer av matsal.

Excellent customer service

We appreciate the responsiveness of the property manager and owner. They were very helpful during our stay. The cabins are adorable and having the lake across the street is awesome.

Great stay

My family and I had a great time at this property. The lake right across the street was very convenient for having little children that need to nap! Was a little bit of a trip into the main town of Lake George, but wasn’t a big deal.

Incredibly Clean and Comfy

This property was so wonderful for our large party of family (All adults). The cleanliness of the house was regularly commented on, such an important detail in the middle of a pandemic. Everything about the house was very comfortable; beds, sofas, kitchen, etc. The only heads up I would give is to be sure to bring your towels as there aren’t any provided, that includes hand towels for the bathrooms. The boats were very easy to access and in perfect condition for a lazy paddle around. The fireplace is ideal as is the fire pit outside. We all had an amazing time.

Great getaway stay

We didn't expect to enter into a parking lot that had small cabins in it, but the Loon House was more than we expected. Very spacious, very comfortable, and most importantly, very clean. We enjoyed our stay very much, even the little ones enjoyed their time there as well. The fire pit was a blast as we did smores, the boats were great for fishing. Walt was great in helping get information back to me and so was Heidi. We were extremely happy with our stay there, as we had plenty of laughs and good eats off the grill. The couches are definitely great for napping and watching movies. We loved our stay at the Loon House.

Lovely Week at the Loon House

My family had a wonderful week at the Lakeside at Loon Lake staying in the Loon House. We could not believe how clean and well kept it was! The location was great right across the street from the beach. Our kids (5 yr old and twin 3 year olds) loved playing in the lake. My only wish was there was more of a yard area for the kids to play and privacy on the front porch. The porch looks out over the parking lot to the other units. We wanted to rent a pontoon boat to go out on the lake but Loon Lake Marina was booked for the week. Instead we went up to Schroon Lake a few days and rented from Schroon Lake Marina, which worked out great. Schroon Lake is a bit larger than Loon Lake and has a public dock and beach which we took advantage of. Only about a 20 minute drive. Lakeside has a great central location, close to Bolton Landing and Lake George (drove over to Bolton for dinner a couple of times) and a very cute town of its own. Overall, a great find for family trip.

Lakeside at Loon Lake

Check in was effortless, and the property was clean and fairly well stocked with necessary items for cooking. Both owners, Walt and Heidi were fantastic hosts! From meeting is with a smile, immediately resounding to any questions and following up to ensure we were comfy. The couches in the living room were super comfy and the bedrooms were as advertised. With on site washer/dryer it made this experience even more enhanced. The deck was huge and had ample seating for everyone in our party of 2 families (5 adults, 4 teens, 1 baby). The firepit was genius and perfectly sized for many chairs to fit around it. The wood was provided and made this experience even better, since we didn’t need to run out and find firewood. One drawback was how close the property was to what felt like a highway since so many 18 wheelers used this road and at high speed. The noise was loud enough that it was difficult to talk/hear over the traffic. To make up for the traffic, was Loon Lake directly across the street. We rented a boat and it was just an incredible experience to be on a pontoon, cruise around and drop/off and/or pick up from the beach. Aside from renting a pontoon, we also brought kayaks to use. The lake was so clear and lovely that we kayaked every day! Thank you!

Father’s Day Wknd

Great spot to stay with your family and/or friends for a long weekend. The house is right across the street from a lake with a small beach to hangout on. There’s also a private fire pit in the backyard. Walt and his wife Heidi met us at check-in and couldn’t have been nicer and more resourceful. One thing to mention - the house is part of a larger development with other cabins (+/- 6) around the main house (Loon Lake House), just as an FYI. There were plenty of beds to sleep in and the hot tub inside was a great time!

Beautiful getaway

The Loon House is the perfect stay for a small group of friends or family. The location has everything you need for a relaxing getaway by the water, with plenty of amenities that add to the experience. Walt and Heidi are extremely responsive and accommodating and made us feel right at home. 100% will be coming back soon!

Great family oriented gathering spot!

Charming, rustic and restful. Easy access to Lake George, Saratoga. Beautiful country and a lake with great swimming just across the street! My family plus my mom and dad found ample room and peaceful countryside atmosphere. Loved the outdoor picnic table, use of canoe, and outdoor fire pit.

Summer Vacation

We travel every year with our extended family. This hone had plenty of room for 4 adults and 6 teens/young adults. House was spotless when we arrived and offered enough space for everyone to be together and/or have some quiet time. We made some great memories there, Saratoga and in Lake George! The only con was it was a bit farther from activities than we originally thought. Very responsive communication with home owner too!

Family vacay

We had our family vacation and this year decided to go upstate NY. While the house was nice and exactly as described, I was not happy with the road we had to cross to get to the lake. Busy road and at night the traffic is loud. I live in a quiet neighborhood so it took getting used to listening to trucks in the middle of the night. That being said we did enjoy the house.

A beautiful large, air conditioned home! Plenty of room for 10 people, including 4 young children. Great swimming beach right across a (busy) road. Many things to do in the area, and hope to return. Walt was great.

Year after year we have many of the same families return and we have also built many new friendships through the years. ALL OUR PROPERTIES ARE REGISTERED AND INSPECTED BY THE NYS DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH ALONG WITH OUR WATER SUPPLY. This give our guests that may be hesitant to use this type of booking PEACE OF MIND. :)

The Lakeside at Loon Lake is a small family owned and operated Adirondack retreat located across the street from southern tip of Loon Lake. All of our cabins, suites and main house have been renovated with Post and Beam and knotty Pine to keep with that Adirondack lodge or cabin charm, yet still providing many of the amenities that one would expect to see in many updated vacation rentals. We are nestled in the beautiful and quiet Adirondack Mountains, but yet no more than 25 minutes from most all attractions.

Loon Lake is one of the most beautiful lakes in the Adirondacks. It is fed by mountain streams, as well as natural springs, that keep the water moving all the time while keeping it crystal clear. It is a small enough lake that is not commercialized, so this keeps the traffic on the lake to a minimum, but yet it is large enough to rent a boat and go skiing, tubing or fishing. We also have a beautiful sandy beach just a 100ft from the Lakeside that has a lifeguard on duty all summer.
