My little fisherman's house on Ile d'Yeu is an eclectic mix of styles that reflect my nomadic life. Cozy, and colorful, it is perfect for two couples or a family. The house is ideally located in the center of Port Joinville, minutes away on foot from the ferry docks, bars, restaurants and shops. You're in the thick of it but the charming private courtyard provides peace and quiet and is perfect for al' fresco meals. Double glazing on all the windows keeps the house toasty in winter and quiet in the summer. NOTE: The zebra skin in the upstairs bedroom is real but the zebra was not hunted for its skin. It was a gift from local villagers in an area of South Africa where I worked
I spent most of my childhood in West Africa, which is why there is a fisherman's chair and stools from Nigeria and Cote d'Ivoire in the living room. All are meaningful mementos that I trust you will enjoy as well.
