Thank you for choosing and staying at Getaway and for your positive feedback and great comments. Sorry for some of the things that led to your complaints. Feedback on these are: Mattresses: The mattress firmness/softness are somewhat personal; the king mattress has a mattress topper added to it. This was added after a previous guest found the mattress to be too firm. Cushions: The foam on the loveseat was recently replaced when the loveseat and couch were reupholstered. The replacement foam for the loveseat was supposed to be for the couch but these got mixed up during the reupholstering exercise. The intent is to also replace the foam for the couch. The other cushions (chairs, papasan, swings, throw cushions) will be assessed, noting that this is the first time we've had any comments about them. Lead photo and other photos: These have been updated to reflect the current beach situation. I was hoping that the beach would accrete to its previous volumes, thus my hesitancy to change the photo, but perhaps this is wishful thinking on my part. Again thanks for the positive feedback. Adam, Thanks for staying! We look forward to your return visit at which time you will see an improvement in the trash and run down-ness. Were you referring to Harbour Island or the whole of Eleuthera? With regards to the airport I look forward to a new airport for North Eleuthera in the near future. Government has been steadily rebuilding airports across the Bahamas but priorities have shifted with COVID. COVID has also resulted in closure of some businesses including restaurants but even outside of COVID restaurants in the area of Getaway are far and between. El Karaka Bar and Grill is definitely a saving grace for the northern end of the island and hopping over to Harbour Island and Spanish Wells certainly opens up the possibilities for greater dining and ambiance choices. I'm interested to know what crab you caught and ate?
