Anniversary Trip

Great location!

This was a great location and very clean. We loved that it had an ocean view but were disappointed that the lanai was so small. It had everything we needed-chairs, umbrella, cooler. Overall an amazing stay!

My granddaughter and I really enjoyed our stay at MKV, the third vacation there for our family. The condo was the perfect size for the two of us, and very well equipped. The owner was very helpful, providing information on transportation etc. We love the MKV resort, beautiful well kept grounds and facilities and a lovely, uncrowded beach. Great property, family friendly and good beach access.

This is the second time in five years we have stayed at this property. We found it just as enjoyable. There is good access to the beach and snorkeling, beach or board walking and is centrally located to the upper west side of Maui. I would recommend this property and look forward to returning soon!

Wonderful location for families with little ones

We had a great stay at this property. The resort was very nice, with a very friendly and helpful staff and terrific amenities. With a two-and-a-half-year-old and expecting wife we didn't get too adventurous on the island, but it didn't matter since everything we really needed was right there at the resort. The kiddie pool was the top highlight for our little one, and searching for geckos around the property was a close second! I would definately recommend this property for anyone looking for a perfect Maui get away!

A lovely getaway

It was our first time for my husband and I to visit Hawaii. Barbara’s Condo was perfect for our visit. We went snorkeling every day on the beach across from the Unit, saw plenty of fish and swam with turtles! Easy walk to Whaler’s Village where you can find plenty of Restaurants. It was nice to enjoy breakfast watching the Ocean. We even saw a whale one morning! Getting free coffee every day in the lobby was lovely! I loved having a kitchen for the times we didn’t feel like going out. Barbara was the perfect host giving us detailed information about everything we needed to know.

Maui Kaanapali Villa Condo

Barbara was a very helpful and well organised host. Lots of information was provided and all our questions were answered. The apartment is great. Very clean and comfortable. The resort is fantastic. The pool, easy access to beach, gardens and all facilities ensure the perfect holiday. The free trolley car that stops right at the resort front door is very convenient. Kaanapali beach is really beautiful. We had a great holiday in Barbara's condo. I highly recommend this apartment.

Amazing Place -- a true retreat

The condo is embedded into an extremly nice, tidy, clean and well Kanapalli Villas complex. Beach and pool are two min walk and amazing. The view from the pool and beach is one of the best in the world. The Castway Cafe Restaurant is very convenient and good. The room is well mainainted and very clean. Extremly compfortable for two people. A little tight for four (covertable sofa). We will definetly come back (even if it half around the world).

GREAT Condo, GREAT Resort, GREAT Vacation!

The MKV, and in particular, A-317, are perfect for those who want a comfortable and relaxed vacation. The condo is well-stocked, clean and has a great view of the ocean. Barbara is a joy to work with and is constantly updating her condo for the ultimate experience. MKV is a laid-back, beautifully landscaped resort with two pools/spas and the ocean at your doorstep. Whales abound, so be sure to take binoculars! The Castaway Cafe is good when you just don't want to cook in the condo's full kitchen or leave the property, and there are plenty of restaurants--all the way from take-out to fancy--within a short driving distance. Take advantage of the Aloha Concierge orientation--you're sure to win a discount on an excursion. We've done the Pacific Whale Foundation Lanai snorkel trip two years in a row and it is wonderful. North Ka'anapali is the perfect location, with LaHaina, Kihei & Wailea in one direction and Napili, Kapalua and Ft. Deming State Park in the other. Always plenty to do, but our favorite activity is lounging on the beach or at the pool. Mahalo, Barbara, for another great vacation experience. Until next year...

Perfect Paradise Getaway

We want to thank you Barbara for our wonderful stay in your unit 517 at MKV. The 5th floor condo is very well appointed, and has a beautiful view! Gorgeous sunsets, and we could even watch whales from the condo! The artwork and color scheme reminds us of the sea with its blues and greens. Comfy bed too! We do a lot of our own cooking, and the unit has all the tools you need to whip up a great meal. The BBQs at MKV are also very nice, immaculately maintained. MKV sits on one of the best beaches on Maui, with great swimming, snorkeling, and beach walking. The unit comes with chairs and an umbrella which we used a lot! There's also a beautiful pool at MKV, as well as the Castaway restaurant and bar right on the beach. Each morning we walked down the Kaanapali boardwalk to get the day started. Very close by we enjoyed the Fish Market for fresh fish and fish tacos, and Okazuya Asian takeout is outstanding. Also loved going to the Seahouse at Napili Beach for breakfast! LaHaina is just minutes away with all its shops and restaurants, and of course the famous Hula pie at Kimo's. We finally did the road to Hana this year, and that was an unforgettable experience. Again, thanks for sharing your beautiful condo with us, we plan on coming back!

Absolute Paradise!

Wow, I don't even know how to write this beyond what’s already been said. So instead of listing all the great attributes, here’s the list of everything that I didn’t like: 1) We had to leave. Yup, that’s it. The condo is very comfortable. The king size bed had a good mattress. For a studio it was plenty roomy, especially with the dressing area. The kitchen has been redone with granite counter. The complex itself was great. It was small enough that the staff recognized us, not like the huge condos everywhere else. The grounds are so well maintained, they even give you a guide for the different plants you can find there. The beach was a powder soft sand (no rocks or coral here) with small waves (too small to boogy board though, and it gets deep quickly). But for snorkeling, just go about 200 yards north (in front of the next condo). They call this Airport Beach, and it had great reefs with an abundance of tropical fish, turtles, I even saw a moray eel. So if you’re considering this condo, stop thinking and book it. It was amazing. Mahalo Barbara and family! Some tips for future tourists: The concierge holds a 45 minute meeting every morning at 8:30 to talk about things to do on Maui. Go on one of your first days. It is not a sales pitch, and we got 2:1 tickets to Burn’n Love and the Whale Foundation Dolphin Watching Cruise (recommend). Also, Aloha Mixed Plate in Lahaina was a good reasonably priced lunch (and drink). It’s run by the same folks who do the Old Lahaina Luau, which is also great. If you’re looking for a tiki, head north to Honolua Bay. There’s an old guy at the side of the road at the top of the bay who does great work and has amusing stories, and is half the price of the carvers in Lahaina street corners. If you go to Hana, bring lunch with you, not many food choices there (note: the road all the way around the island is not bad, and I found it really cool to see the other side, but there are no services including tow trucks out there, so do so at your risk and check your rental contract). The sunrise on Haleakala is supposed to be great, but it also is way early in the morning. The sun also sets up there, also impressive, and at a more reasonable time of day.

Clean and well located well managed. Unit is well equipped and clean. The only negative is the tiny balcony. Everyone was great to work with. Great grounds and pool. Castaways is a good casual restaurant and is well managed. Beach location is excellent. Great access to the rest of Kaanapali amenities from this location including great morning walking.

Wonderful Maui Stay

My family just returned from a truly wonderful stay at this property in Kaanapali. The condo was clean, well appointed, and had everything we needed for a perfect stay, including a beautiful view across the lush resort grounds to the ocean. We loved the friendly lobby staff, morning coffee service, and the beautiful grounds. The resort was low-key and just the right size. The pool was lovely (and we never had to fight for lounge chairs) and the stretch of beach directly in front of the property was just lovely and without crowds. A two minute walk north up the beach gets you to a wonderful reef for snorkeling and in addition to the wide array of fish we saw we saw sea turtles twice. The restaurant located on sight was very convenient, as was the free trolley that picks up from the property lobby and runs every 30-minutes taking you to nearby shopping, restaurants, and resorts. The host was very prompt in communication, provided welcoming and clear check-in and check-out instructions, and was a warm delight to communicate with. We have already recommended this property to our family and hope to return. Thanks for the great stay and wonderful Maui memories!

epic adventure

There is so much to do and see in Maui and this property made a fantasic base for me and my 8 year old to have adventures! We checked in and headed right for the beach and within 10 minuts we were snorkeling with a turtle the size of my son! The condo is quite comfortable and clean. The full kitchen is well equipped and combined with the resorts grill stations it was really easy to eat in. My son had a great time with the resort amenities such as the pool, shuffle board and ping pong table, and found lots of other kids to play with. Thanks for a great stay!

We loved this resort, not too big and not too small
just right. Grounds are beautiful and well maintained. The beach/poolside restaurant is reasonably priced with very good food. The beach and pool are beautiful. This unit comes with 2 beach chairs, 1 umbrella, and 1 cooler. Beach towels are available at the front desk. Location is great with many food options from food trucks to fine dining. There are several groceries stores nearby. The owner of this unit could not have been better with communication, responding quickly to any questions you might have. I’ve used VRBO many times and she was by far the best. Thank you Barbara!!! It was a perfect Hawaiian vacation.

We thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay at Maui Kaanapali Villas, very relaxing, just what we needed. As usual, the grounds and pool were lovely and well-kept, and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Our condo host was helpful and responsive to our questions and concerns. Highly recommended.

Our family has been vacationing at Maui Ka'anapali Villas for more than 30 years. Our daughters, Emily and Dori grew up on this stretch of beach, swimming, snorkeling, and hunting for beach glass. Our best memories are of the fun we had playing in the water and relaxing at this resort. We are grateful that we had the opportunity to buy a studio condo at MKV. We're excited to share it with you and your family, so that you may also make your own memories at this glorious place in the sun.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

There is no better beach on Maui as far as our family is concerned. The water is pristine and warm. The clean, white sand offers a gentle entry into the ocean for swimming or snorkeling at the adjacent reef, which stretches 1 1/2 miles north. Walk on the boardwalk or beach, swim, or take the Free Green Ka'anapali Beach Trolley, 1/2 mile south to snorkel at Black Rock.
