Excellent value, fabulous location

Excellent location with easy access to the subway and wonderful restaurants within walking distance. The interior is bright and sunny and is well appointed. The only drawback is the bathroom is really tiny. Rahima, the owner / hostess, was wonderful and took excellent care of us. Excellent value for the rates!

Loved the space and the location, but not the bed.

The apartment was light and spacious and had everything we needed - hairdryer, washer and dryer, full array of kitchen supplies, basic TV, plenty of storage. Even climbing those endless stairs to the 5th floor was fun! Location is excellent, with a health food store down the block and restaurants in every direction. Unfortunately the mattress was so thin we could feel every plank of the ikea bed frame. We had to add a blanket and a floor rug under the mattress to make it more manageable and still haven't had a single decent night sleep. Thankfully the apartment has a day bed, which is much more comfortable, but can only accommodate one person. With a better quality mattress for a good night sleep we would happily stay again, but not until then. PS: if you're a sensitive sleeper, bring eye mask and ear plugs! Curtains block out no light and New York is truly a city that never sleeps :) Thank you, Rahima!

Lovely apartment for our vacation

The apartment is just as advertised. It has nice light, a comfortable bed and everything you will need during your stay. There's even a washing machine and dryer which was a nice extra as we were in NYC for 2 weeks. Rahima is a good host and has set everything up to be easy for the visitor. We definitely enjoyed our stay.

Great appartment & location

We had a very good time in NY in Rahima's appartment, the place was perfect, everything was clean and a lot of space, the apparement was just at a short walk from the subway and even from Central Park. Shops, bar, restaurant and even a printer for Boarding pass, basketball ticket and so on were quit near to the location, very helpful. Rahima was very friendly and make sure we have everything, she even helped us with our luggages and was very kind, she gave us a lot of information such as good rooftop or her preferred adresses, we recommend for sure this location. Thank you Rahima

This place was perfect for us.

The apartment was very accommodating for us. It had everything we needed. It was super clean & had windows that faced out onto the street, which we loved. The queen size bed was very comforable. The wood floors are beautiful. The neighborhood is safe & perfectly located. Just a short walk to the nice new subway on 2nd Ave. We normally visit NYC once a year and would love to stay at this place every time. Rahima, was very friendly and made sure we were well taken care of.

Great location and plenty of space!

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights over the New Year holiday weekend. We were so glad to be able to escape back to the quiet neighborhood in the evening. Our unit was very spacious and clean. It was way more space than you would get in a hotel room. We had everything we needed. The apartment is walking distance to plenty of shops, restaurants, the subway, and Central Park. We took the Subway or walked everywhere we went. Rahima was very welcoming and helpful! She was a fabulous host! She helped us with our bags and gave us tips and advice about our visit in the city. We are very glad we booked this unit and would stay here again during our next visit! Thank you, Rahima!!

Great host, apartment, and location

As soon as we arrive we were greeted with open arms. The apartment was super clean and bright. It was just what one needs while in the city. It is three blocks from a subway station so it was very easy to get to places! The apartment had a nice view of the buildings around it from the window, since it was on the top floor! Close to everything yet it is a tucked away gem. I really wish I could move to NYC just to live in the apartment full time! Will stay there again, and highly recommend it to everyone!

Perfect Apartment for New York Vacation

The Apartment was perfect. It was clean and super sweet. We stayed for 8 days and it was truly feel like Home. We had everything we need. Rahima is a very friendly Host and helpful. The Central Park is nearby and the Subway Station too. The neighborhood is calm and very beautiful. Ok, you can hear some Cars, but for us it was alright. For our next stay in New York, we would love to stay in the Apartment again.

Bon rapport qualité prix pour Manhattan.

Appartement bien situé dans Manhattan, intérieur agréable excepté la salle de bains qui est petite. La rue est assez calme (pas d'ambulance) et dans l'immeuble les voisins sont très respectueux du silence. Deux petites réserves, le lit est peu confortable et les escaliers un peu raides. Great experience!

Perfect location to experience NYC from! Walking distance from great restaurants, the subway and Central Park. The apartment is clean, organized and stocked with the amenities that you need. Rahima was easy to work with; direct communication with prompt responses. Would absolutely recommend!

Great find!

This is a great place and we felt safe staying here for the past four days. Rahima was great to work with; she communicates effectively and was very kind. There were just two of us and we had more than enough room. The stairs are not a big deal at all, so long as one is healthy enough to do stairs on any basis. It was great that the apartment has a washer and dryer. I brought dryer sheets and tumbled several clothing pieces during our stay to get rid of wrinkles. We would stay here again in a New York minute (see what I did there), and we would recommend it and Rahima to our friends and family.

Great place, great location!

The apt is great, exactly as described. Quite big for NYC. Super clean - the floor was actually shining! It has all the amenities you'll need, in good shape. The shower is ok. The neighborhood is quiet but also very active at night, lots of good restaurants and coffee shops. I recommend checking out Boqueria and Buon Gusto for a good meal. 2 blocks from subway, easy access to all the good spots. Rahima was very kind and helpful! Don`t be fooled by her straightforward way to talk, she is an objective person with a warm heart. The stairs are the only downside - try to pack light, if you can. Also, if you have trouble sleeping with sunlight, bring a sleep mask as the curtains are not so thick.

Simply the Best

I have rented many VRBO properties in the last several years and I'm so happy to find a property that exceeds all my expectations. The cleanliness and attention to details of all necessities was exceptional. To start the AC was brilliant, the tv for news was a nice compliment, and the comfortable beds for good nights of rest were splendid. My husband ( one grandpa) and the other grandpa occupied the apt for 2 weeks. The 2 grandmas stayed with the new mom and baby in her apt a few blocks away. The grandpas appreciated the house rules and the use of the internet so they could work in peace and quietness. Having a lovely marble bathroom with plenty of hot water and good water pressure was especially nice in a city where one sometimes does not find this. The grandpas had no food because they took their breakfast at the corner diner and the other meals at their daughter's apt. Securing the apt was easy the payment was very easy. The apt manager was prompt with check in and answered all questions. To find a place so well managed and maintained was a complete joy. Do not hesitate to inquire about renting this property. It was simply the best.

#1 Location, Best value, NYC best kept secret! Location to die for! 5***

I am a lawyer form Brasil, travel extensively for work and pleasure and I traveled all over Europe, Asia and Central America, and I know the value of a great comfortable and reasonably priced accommodation. I was pleasantly surprised how huge, clean, well decorated and private this apartment was. You can NOT get that much space, full kitchen and a privacy in a hotel! This truly unique gorgeous apartment is a full floor entire 1bdr/1bth open space loft, was very clean, beautiful, sunny, well decorated and comfortable. I greatly enjoyed my short walking distance to and from Central Park including Metropolitan Museum. The building is only one block away from tons of restaurants, bars, coffee shops, boutiques and bakery. The Subway is only 2 blocks short walking distance, which made my commute to touristy attractions even easier. The host was very kind, professional and helpful. Again, the best value in Manhattan in #1 area money can buy, this comes from a professional traveler! And the location is superb! Location + the rate makes this apartment extremely desirable and hard to come by! I will strongly recommend this place to all of my friends, family and colleagues. I think I found my new favorite place in NYC!

Birthday trip to NYC

My husband booked this place for my 40th birthday, and we could not have been happier. We loved the area of town, super close to excellent restaurants and coffee, etc. We appreciated the window views and the tidy apartment. It was very accommodating, and the bed and pillows were super comfortable. We did not cook, only used glasses for water and wine...though the kitchen seemed to be well stocked. The bathroom size did not bother me, as some reviews have stated, as it had clever storage areas to accommodate all of our toiletry items. All in all this was an excellent place to stay. I would only caution there are quite a bit of stairs to climb upon coming home after a long day. Usually okay, though I have a hurt knee so it was more challenging this time. Great place, and Rahima was a very gracious host who met us upon our arrival for check in instructions. Thanks for a wonderful week!

Disappointed

The house is beautiful! As you can see in the photos. What you don't see is 3 flights of stairs you have to carry your luggage up that she doesn't tell you about till after you book it. The house is on East 77th which is very busy and loud! There's a hospital just two blocks up and the sirens sang everyday and night. Very noisy. (We did not know about ahead of time) When we arrived, the place wasn't ready. We had to drop of our luggage and leave. Not good at all! In fairness to the owner, I did text her and tell her our flight was delayed an hour but then it ended up arriving on time. But, it should have been ready either way! The owner told us to buzz when we got to the gate but there was no buzzer. When she finally opened for us, what greeted us, was not warmth and welcome, but rules and rudeness. At this point I was ready to find another place. You can imagine how our joy started to change. The bathroom is very tiny. There is very little room between the cabinet and toilet to sit. And the cabinet that hangs over the sink is too low. You can't wash your face or brush you teeth. All she needs to do is move the cabinet up higher. Also the lighting in the bathroom was too dim. One light bulb was out. Easy fix, just replace with brighter bulbs. It's hard to sleep when you lay your head on pillows that stink. Simply wash or replace the pillows. Sadly we won't be returning to this home. But With a few changes this place could be a home people book years in advance. hopefully.

Clean, comfortable apartment

We stayed for 4 nights and had a great time. It's close to amenities and transportation and had everything we needed. The bathroom may be small by non New York standards, but it was equipped with everything needed to organize stuff for 3 people. The air conditioning was a great relief during the heatwave happening while we were there. Rahima was a great hostess and quickly responded when contacted. I would definitely stay there again.
