Dauphin Island living is best enjoyed at Driftwood Cottage. Lined by trees and backed up by the dune, this peaceful landing pad is close to the island's beaches, restaurants, golf courses, and parks. When you aren't walking the sandy shoreline of Bienville Beach, simply sit and soak up the radiant weather from the balcony.

Inside, the sun continues to flood in naturally. The living room's soft sofa and smart TV lend themselves to pleasant streaming sessions, whereas the updated kitchen makes cooking a breeze with its stainless steel appliances and ample meal prep space.

Coastal mementos and cool air adorn each of the bedrooms, ensuring a restful night's sleep each evening. A private washer/dryer and internet access tie together the stellar amenities.

All guests shall abide by Vacasa’s good neighbor policy and shall not engage in illegal activity. Quiet hours are from 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m.

Clean house with good location

Sunny, bright house is set back close to the dunes, providing a very secluded feel. Is walkable to the public beach.

Excellent get away for a family of 5!

Our family had a great time staying at the Driftwood Cottage! It was nice, quiet, and cozy. The location of the cottage is great! It's just a short drive to several beach locations (I do not recommend trying to walk.) and it’s also really close to The Islander, which in our opinion, is the best food on the island! The only downside to the Driftwood Cottage that we ran into is that there is no door to the master bedroom. There is a winding stair case that keeps you from seeing into the bedroom from the down stairs area but no actual door. It wasn’t really a problem for us but if you value privacy from the other guests you may want to take that into consideration.

Wonderful!

The cottage was the perfect location for everything we were doing on the island. It was plenty of room for our family of 4. The kitchen was fully stocked for cooking. I’d highly recommend and stay again!

If it’s not raining

Our stay was for 9 days. The house was spotlessly clean.It’s very comfortable with many ammenities, especially in the kitchen. A drawback is that there’s no interior dining table. The outdoor picnic table is good, as long as it’s not raining. The kitchen counter indoors seats only 2, so that’s a drawback.There was a huge, violent storm our fourth night that knocked out power and internet to the entire island.Power was restored quickly, but we were without internet for 5 days, although friends who live in another area there got theirs back after 24 hours (they have Xfinity).Overall, it was a very nice stay and we would recommend this home to other visitors.

Enjoyable Week

We spent a week birdwatching on Dauphine Island. It was wonderful to have such a comfortable home as home base after a long day of walking and hunting for bird sightings.

Cute Cabin Tucked Away

House was clean. Plenty of dishes/kitchenware. I enjoyed the colorful decor. Shared areas, kitchen and living room were not crowded. Loved the two porches. Not even 5 minutes from beach driving. Hit groceries and quick food needs before getting to the island.

Satisfactory Stay but
..

The house was clean and we had a good stay overall. So I’m not telling anyone that reads this not to stay here. But there are some things you need to know. When we arrived the house was surrounded by weeds, wild growth, it was bad. The mosquitoes around the house were terrible. The yard had not been maintained since the house was built it appeared. The upstairs where the adults sleep does not have a bathroom. So if you are a little older like me and have to get up at night to go to the bathroom, you will have to go downstairs. There is no door on the main bathroom downstairs except for the hallway door. So you have to make sure the kids room is cleared out or they have direct access to a bathroom with no door. The good: The house inside was very clean, decorated well, plenty of amenities, quiet area, not bad at all. Hope this helps.

Great home in a quiet area

This home was perfect for our small family. Everything is new and updated. Fairly close to everything. We rented a cart for the week to run around town which was really fun but not necessary. We only had to contact once and they were very responsive.

Great little budget beach house.

The house fit our needs very well. It was super cute and clean. The beds were very comfortable. It's in a peaceful, quiet location with a short walk or drive to the beach. There's no view of the gulf from the house but the dune and trees provide shade and lots of birds and squirrels visible from the porches. There is a trail to the beach at the end of the street but it's a tough walk through sand. I definitely recommend it just pack essentials only. The only thing I would change would be moving the door to the main bathroom and possibly adding one to the upstairs bedroom for more privacy. Anyone staying with kids will appreciate this.

Lovely Cottage

My family loved this house! My kids are 13, 9, 6, and 4. There was enough space for everyone with the bunk room being a perfect kid spot! The kitchen is a great lay out and the porches were a family favorite. My big kid walked to the park and played basketball with a friend and it wasn't a far walk at all. We drove to the public beach because the weather was questionable and didn't want to get caught in rain. Renting a golf cart would be a good move staying here next time. The only thing I would change is there is no curtains so it was really bright in the mornings. My kids are used to sleeping with black out curtains so they woke up early. If your kids don't sleep in a dungeon like mine they'll be fine! We will return! Extra clean and super cute! Loved it and great memories.
