Great Getaway

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We got into town late and the after hours check-in was a breeze. As soon as we got into the house we saw a black bear out of the bedroom window! We were there for three nights and even though we spent a fair amount of time in town, we ended up having three or four bear sightings. The house was clean and there was enough cookware and supplies to support our meal plan while we were there which made it nice to not have to bring those items with us. We had a great view and it felt private even with the other vacation rentals around us. I feel like (in a post-COVID world) the price we paid was on par with the experience, location, and amenities we received.

Perfect Smoky Mountain Cottage

Everything from the view of Mt LaConte to the personable "treat you as family" service you get from Pam and all the staff in the office makes this place our "other home" but don't tell the owners! The people at Mountain Laurel Chalets were always very helpful and made the stay all the more enjoyable. The cottage was well equipped and in good condition. The view was spectacular. We had to share the hot tub with a bear. The sharing was a bit one side ;).

Perfect Mountain View

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved how close to town this was. The road up was a little scary at times but we got used to it after a couple runs. The porch view is why we booked this and it did not disappoint. The cottage itself could use some maintenance - (some floor pieces missing, around the hot tub is missing panels, seems to be a water leak under kitchen sink that had an odor, the couch needs to be replaced ). We were overall pleased though for the time we spent there ! The renting agency was easy to work with.

Mountain Laural Chalet

The only down side was the living room furniture was dingy and very worn with tears and lots of crumbs in the cushions. I would not recommend using the fireplace unless you want tho whole house to smell like smoke for days. Also there are NO hooks/towel bars to hang the small amounts of towels provided after showers/jacuzzi etc

Charming and cozy!

The view from the deck and den are just awesome. The house was super clean and we loved the decor. There is plenty of room to maneuver your car in the drive and the carport is a plus. The only thing we noticed is that the house could use some updated kitchen ware, frying pans, plates. As far as Mnt. Laurel Chalet company goes, they are the best. We have been staying with them since the late 80's. We will be returning to this house again. It just feels like home. Thank you!!

Smoky Mountain Cottage -A place that restores our soul.

Everything about a Mountain Laurel Chalet experience is very professional, no detail overlooked. When they say guests are considered family, that is exactly how we were made to feel. The view from the back deck is special as you watch the sun rise above the mountains that rise up behind downtown Gatlinburg. Oh, did I say we will be back?

Disappointing

I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Screens broken out, paint peeling on the outside, windows cloudy from broken seals, sofa ripped, dishwasher soap dispenser didn't open during cycle, table lamps totally falling apart, shower curtains old and disgusting, cookware totally worn out, no measuring spoons, only one measuring cup, not much in the way of deck furniture to relax on, the freezer worked well, but the refrigerator keep things only slight cool even when on lowest temperature setting,

Driveway was not bad and plenty of room to turn around so did not have to back down the driveway. We did have trouble with neighbor parking on the side of the drive away making hard to get up and down the driveway. We did see bears every day but the last. We had a great time and we stay here again. The staff at Mountain Laurel Chalet was excellent as always.

Spectacular View

Great home away from home!

This house fit all our needs. It was clean and nicely decorated. The view was spectacular, the drive up mountain was doable no problems. It was quite and peaceful. Only disappointment is didn’t get to see any bears but no fault of property. Would state there again.
