When we arrived at the property, we were immediately disappointed. There was a large brownish-orange stain on the kitchen ceiling, suggesting prior water damage, which was not shown in the listing photos. The cutlery was heavily worn and appeared unclean. While these issues were concerning, we decided not to let them ruin our trip and headed out for dinner and fun at the pier.When we returned later that evening, things only got worse. In the first bedroom, we found a stain on the sheets and what looked like grains of rice in the bed. In the second bedroom, there was a large stain on the comforter. At that point, we didnât even check the other roomsâwe were too uncomfortable to stay. We left a message for the host and decided to leave the property that night, as it was simply not in a condition where we felt we could sleep.The state of the rental did not match the listing or the positive reviews, and the experience was very disappointing. Unfortunately, our summer vacation was disrupted, and to make matters worse, we were refunded less than half of what we paid.
