25th anniversary trip

Wonderful and relaxing to visit Maine again. The rental was clean and very comfortable. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a getaway.

Beautiful Property!

We rented this house to attend a wedding in the area. We absolutely loved the house, which is beautifully decorated, and the location. The backyard view is outstanding. The kitchen was well supplied. The only problem we had is that there is a high step from the living room into the kitchen/dining room. It is dangerously high without any special light or sign. We had to work around it since my cousin is handicapped. My dog absolutely loved the house! Well set up for potty breaks and space to run in the front. Took her for walks in the area. Highly recommend!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This house is beautiful and clean! The house is nicely updated and decorated! Overall we had a great stay and will plan on trying to rent this home again in the future. A few things to note about the home, there isn’t central air but we visited in August and opening the doors and windows was enough to cool the home. Also, the house doesn’t come with sheets and towels but we rented them through the rental company. Lastly, there isn’t a washer and dryer. We were traveling with a small child and it would have been nice to wash some of their clothes before leaving.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a wonderful stay! The house was clean, beautiful, and on a nice quiet street. The view from the back was a great retreat each AM and PM. The house is set up with a full kitchen as well as deck furniture, fire pit, and water craft. The only negative was the lack of air on on hot day. Windows have a great flow of air, but on a hot humid day, there was no relief from the heat. Overall, amazing place to stay!

Too hot

We had a wonderful time unfortunately the heat was extreme. The overhead ceiling fans were a help. Would highly recommend air conditioning. A very nice house.

4th of July Week

We had a great stay in Windham. The location of this home worked perfect for being close to the friends that we were visiting. The water view and access were great. Only downsides that we weren’t prepared for based on the listing was lack of air conditioning and the bugs. We had to leave the sliding doors and windows open often at night to let cool air in and then tons of bugs and mosquitos would get in.

Clean Modern Place

The only complaint I have with this rental is that you have to bring your own linens. This was a detail I missed when I made my reservation and only became aware of when I received the house instructions. My husband and I flew but the other couple who stayed drove from Michigan. If it hadn't been for them driving I don't know what we would have done because our arrival was scheduled for past the time to rent items. I have used VRBO for decades and this is only the 2nd time that linens were not provided. It seems to me that a rental at this price should include linens.

Relaxing Weekend with nice deck

This rental was a very spacious ranch style house on a very quiet street. The house was very clean and thoughtfully appointed with everything you might need except a colander, and you have to bring your own linens. The deck was a treat; very private, with a propane grill, dining area, and some lounge chairs. It boasts views of the river below and has a gate to keep small children and pets contained. My dogs and I enjoyed sitting on the deck and relaxing. There is no A/C, but the house boasts lots of windows that allow for excellent cross breezes and numerous ceiling fans help keep it cool. I enjoyed taking a bath in the big tub, please note the jets do not work. There is a pretty steep stairway that goes down to the river, with a handrail and solid steps. There was a kayak, canoe, and paddleboard available to use. The entry to the water is pretty mucky. I tried to walk into the water and my feet got stuck in the mud. Not an ideal spot for swimming unfortunately. A code was texted at check in time for easy entry to the keyless entry front door. It was a 10 minute drive to town for restaurants and shopping and only a 20-30 minute drive into Portland. Very convenient location. There was a small fenced in area that made it convenient for letting the dogs out to potty, but very small dogs may be able to sneak under the fence. I really enjoyed my time here, probably would not book again in the summer without A/C and the lack of an immediate swimming area.
