Poor experience
Pros:
Location- beautiful view and convenient to many restaurants and boardwalk.
Decor- very nice. A remote controlled balcony blind provided nice shade from afternoon sun.
Parking- two reserved parking permits are provided.
Cons:
Access- condo requires a numeric code for entry. We were initially only provided with two door keys that were obsolete. After carrying all luggage to third floor, we were stranded until eventually reaching a representative who was not helpful or the least bit understanding. After asking for a supervisor, we were provided with an accurate code after several attempts.
Cleanliness- property was NOT cleaned. Every surface was covered in dust, floors dirty, rugs not vacuumed, sliding glass doors were filthy, towels were damp to the touch, linens not clean and trash remained in can. (Even though it's a requirement for the renter to remove upon departure). I provided pictures and was offered to have someone clean the next day; however I refused since we only were staying for two nights. I ended up spending some time dusting and vacumming myself. Later, I received $72 for the inconvenience, even though I spent $1500 for two nights since it was a festival weekend (prior to the Memorial Day rate increases).
Privacy- the icing on the cake was the Blink security system that is installed in the home. There is one camera at the front door and TWO ON THE BALCONY! This was never disclosed. I understand the owners wanting to protect their property; however, it's ridiculous to have cameras capturing every angle on the balcony. It was a total invasion of privacy and left such an uncomfortable feeling that someone could have been watching our every move.
This is the first time I have ever felt compelled to leave a review (on anything). We had such a bad experience that was thankfully redeemed by the delicious food and excellent music festival. Given our experience, I would not recommend. However, if the areas of concern are addressed, I believe it has potential for future renters.
