King of the Hill is designed to make your vacation unforgettable, leaving your family with a lifetime of memories.
Location: Situated between Boone and Banner Elk, in the quaint Foscoe area, this open-plan log home lacks nothing. It features 4 bedrooms with 2 bathrooms, plus an extra bathroom in the detached game room, accommodating up to 8 people. You will have plenty of space to enjoy this mountain home with king-size beds in two of the bedrooms and queen-sized in the other two, so nobody has to fight for the âbestâ room!
Main Floor: The kitchen is fully equipped with granite countertops, full-size appliances, a wine chiller, Keurig coffee machine, and a bar area with seating for four. Whether youâre planning a holiday getaway or just enjoying a meal together, the dining table accommodates 8 people. The cathedral ceilings, windows, and skylights bring fabulous 360-degree views indoors. Enjoy the views of Beech Mountain from the living room while cozying up to a fireplace or watching TV.
Upstairs: Two bedrooms share a bathroom. Both bedrooms have queen-sized beds and skylights, so on a cloudless night, you can stargaze while lying in bed.
Game Room: Enjoy a game of pool, full-size arcade Black Hole pinball, PacMan games, or play some foosball in a detached game room below the garage. The rec room provides a gas fireplace, TV, and a full bathroom for your comfort and convenience. The outside patio also boasts a gas fireplace with seating.
Outside: King of the Hill is a 7-acre property surrounded by woods with a long-range Beech Mountain view from a cabin porch or through the living roomâs sliding doors. Another wood fireplace is set up next to the cabin, with plenty of wood logs supplied for your enjoyment. The sloping backyard can be used as a sledding hill when it snows. The cabin is perfectly situated within a short drive to Sugar Mountain, Beech Mountain, or the Appalachian, and near the famously abundant trout creeks of Valle Crucis. You can cook out on the gas grill and enjoy the spacious deck area that includes abundant seating.
Other amenities: The home is equipped with high-speed wireless internet, free DirecTV streaming, and a washer and dryer for your convenience.

Varför vÀrden valde detta boende
I felt in love with this log home the second I saw it. It's a serene and peaceful place, where you're compelled to rest and recharge, even if you plan on staying busy enjoying mountains and the outdoors. The 7-acre property allows you to stay in a private enclave, enjoying spectacular views, while close to hot skiing and fishing spots in the Highlands of North Carolina.

This home is one of the few where you feel very private - you don't see or hear neighbors from the top of the hill on this vast property, although you may get visited by a family of deer. The home has a spectacular game room, with an amazing arcade-quality pinball machine, pool table, PacMan games machine and a slate-top pool table. The game room is equipped with its own bathroom, a fireplace and an external fireplace on the second porch outside. If you're traveling as a group, you can opt in to cozy up to a cabin fireplace or join your traveling companions in the game room for more excitement.
