Family friendly lake home with something for everyone. Enjoy your morning coffee on the upstairs balcony while you whip up a delicious breakfast on the griddle. When the most important meal of the day is complete, gather on the middle deck to plan the rest of your day. Head down to the private dock for all the water activities you could imagine from fishing to kayaking and paddleboarding. Have a boat? Bring that too! Lake Decatur is perfect for tubing and wakeboarding with the launch just across the lake. When the sun goes down, you can light up the firepit and roast hot dogs and marshmallows! Or head inside for a family friendly games like Yahtzee and Uno.
Need quiet time? Snuggle up with a book from our library in front of the fireplace, or flip on the TV and catch your favorite show through Roku guest access. Maybe this is a workcation? Enjoy the view while you solve all the worlds problems.

Wonderful home and hosts!

Wow! The hosts are fantastic at this property. You get a very detailed informative guidebook to the property before you arrive. Communication is very prompt and professional. The home was very clean and organized. Loved the labels!! It made it very easy to find things. Because of the weather and time constraints, we were unable to take advantage of the water toys. Enjoyed the indoor "pub" games. It's a lovely home, well-decorated, with beautiful lake views! Would definitely recommend!

Multi-Gen Graduation Stay

We (3 generations) spent a lovely, relaxing 5 days here to attend Millikin’s Spring Graduation. The house was great. Very spacious! The kitchen was stocked beyond my expectations, and the view was amazing. We SUP’d, kayaked, and fished (caught 2). I especially appreciated the Roku TV’s that automatically log you out of your accounts at the end of your stay. The house was clean, had great air flow, water pressure, etc. A few, minor, things to mention: 1) entry to the property requires utilizing several steep steps. My father is almost 80 and had some difficulty. 2) the vanity in the downstairs bathroom needs some cosmetic repairs. 3) the decks and outdoor furniture would’ve been more enjoyable had all the cobwebs, spiders, and bird poop been swept off/washed before our arrival. There was plenty of space for everyone to do their own thing and also plenty of shared space where we could all hang out together as a family. A lovely home, the best we’ve stayed at over the past 4 years (we’ve rented 3 other properties & stayed at Forsyth hotels). Wish we’d found it sooner!

Memorial Weekend

We had a wonderful time at the Lakeside property. All the decks with great views and plenty of seating. The inside of the house was very comfortable too. Always got an immediate response from owners when asking a question. Would love to stay again!

So peaceful and relaxing

Pictures definitely don’t do this air b&b justice. Everything is so beautiful and well taken care of. Beautifully decorated. Then walk outside to the amazing few of the water on 3 different decks all with plenty on seating. We will definitely be staying here again. Love this place

Varför värden valde detta boende

We have always spent time on the water. From a young age tubing on Grandpa's boat, then traveling as adults to experience the amazing lakes and rivers of IL, MI, WI, etc. with friends and family. We've always wanted our own happy place that was close enough to drive, but far enough for a true get away. As the house sits up on a bluff, the views could keep one entertained for hours. The Eagles, Woodpeckers, Hummingbirds, (and lots more) are beautiful to watch, and even late summer, migrating pelicans pay this beautiful lake a visit! When we arrive and walk out onto the deck, we are immediately on "lake time". The sunrise is spectacular and the sunsets are even better. Being 3 hours from major metro areas like Chicago, Indianapolis and St Louis, this is the perfect location to get away from it all.
